Who is Barron Trump's new girlfriend? Mystery surrounds the girl the first son is often seen with

Barron Trump may have quietly entered the dating scene. During his first year at NYU, Barron Trump has maintained a low profile, but recent reports suggest he is adjusting well. The son of US President Donald Trump, Barron Trump, is apparently "apolitical." According to reports, Barron Trump is happy at NYU, where he has a stable girlfriend and a modest social circle. Who is Barron Trump's mystery girlfriend? The youngest Trump, who is currently finishing his freshman year at NYU, is rumored to be spending time with a new girlfriend, the identity of whom remains unknown, as per a report by the Daily Beast. A campus friend told News Nation rare details about his low-key personal life and growing popularity. Despite remaining private and avoiding the spotlight, Barron has reportedly formed close friendships and piqued interest with his looks and tech-savvy nature, while remaining largely off the radar. Barron is much more like his mother, Melania. He continues working while keeping his head down. He is making an effort to avoid being BMOC, or "big man on campus," as per a report by the Daily Beast. Live Events However, not much detail regarding Barron's possible romance is available. In response to the Daily Mail's assertion that she "may fit the mold of the perfect girlfriend for Barron," conservative influencer Mari Arana, a fellow NYU student , stated in February that she had not yet met the first son but added, "It's not like I was against it." Barron's father believes that the rumored girlfriend, whoever she is, might be his first romantic partner. The president described his son as "good-looking" on Patrick David's PBD Podcast in October 2024, but he also stated, "I don't think he's had a girlfriend yet." "He's someone who gets along with people, but he doesn't mind being alone." ALSO READ: $1 billion Rhode deal: Did Hailey Bieber rescue bankrupt husband Justin? Insider spills the truth Is Barron Trump struggling to fit in at NYU? Since he began his freshman year at the university last September, the youngest Trump child has been dogged by rumors that he is having difficulty fitting in. According to a December TMZ article, Barron "hardly exists" on campus because he finds it hard to interact with people due to the Secret Service's constant presence. Rather, he had "been asking NYU students for their Discord usernames and gamertags to play together online." But apparently, Barron was "very popular with the ladies" and wasn't having any trouble fitting in. He is tall and attractive, according to People's report. "He seems to be quite attractive to a lot of people and even liberals like him." Is he following in his father's political footsteps? Barron is "pretty apolitical" on campus and "not interested in" assuming leadership of the Republican Party from his father, according to the report. Barron has not even participated in conservative student organizations such as the College Republicans. This claim is completely opposite to what was told about Barron during the 2024 election, when his parents suggested that he played a key role in the current president's efforts to reach Generation Z through podcast appearances. FAQs Does Barron Trump have a girlfriend? Yes, a campus friend claims Barron is frequently seen with a "really nice girlfriend," though her identity is unknown. Does Barron participate in politics at NYU? No, according to sources, he is "pretty apolitical" and prefers technology and privacy over politics.

Inside Stathamism: The New Film Exploring a Reddit Cult That Idolized Jason Statham

In the vast digital sprawl of Reddit, strange subcultures are not unusual—but few are as bizarre and dangerous as the cult that emerged around the 2006 action film Crank. Known as Stathamism, this now-defunct online community centered around the belief that mimicking Jason Statham's character, Chev Chelios, was a path to true spiritual awakening. The subreddit r/stathamism was launched in 2019 by a user under the handle u/sohobreadsticks, also known as 'Opal.' What began as an apparent parody quickly spiraled into something more serious. Adherents of the group believed that the modern world was a simulation—one that could only be disrupted or escaped by maintaining constant adrenaline, just as Chelios does in Crank. Members claimed that if your heart rate dropped, so did your consciousness. Initially filled with memes and movie quotes, the subreddit rapidly evolved into a repository of increasingly risky behavior. Users posted videos of themselves engaging in high-stakes stunts, from street fights to reckless driving and rooftop jumps. One user uploaded footage of a self-inflicted electrocution. Another discussed using medical defibrillators for 'ritual clarity.' While Reddit eventually banned the community in 2023, traces of it persist. Reports linked the group to multiple hospitalizations and at least one fatality that remains under investigation. The term 'performance suicide' began appearing in user-generated posts and eventually in law enforcement briefings. Despite Reddit's efforts to scrub the content, remnants of the group's activity linger through screenshots, reuploads, and whispers of a surviving Discord server. Now, Boston-based filmmakers Caden Ahmad and Aryan Chaudhari are bringing this story to the screen. Their upcoming film, Stathamism, is currently in production and has already begun attracting attention from internet communities that remember the subreddit's eerie rise and fall. 'I thought it was just another weird Reddit joke,' says Ahmad. 'But then I found this PDF floating around called The Crank Testament. That was when I realized people had taken this way too far.' The film combines real archival Reddit content with dramatizations, capturing the surreal energy and unfiltered chaos that defined early 2010s internet horror. But it is not just a shock piece. It is a darkly comedic examination of how irony and fandom can spiral into dangerous ideology. 'We're interested in what happens when satire stops being interpreted as satire,' says Chaudhari. 'This film explores how easily performance becomes belief, and belief becomes extremism.' Stathamism aims to critique the broader cultural obsession with true crime and cult narratives, particularly in the United States. With streaming platforms increasingly leaning into sensationalist documentaries, the filmmakers argue that society has blurred the line between entertainment and danger. 'There's a market for chaos,' Ahmad notes. 'And when it becomes a spectacle, it stops being questioned.' Though the subreddit is long gone, online echoes remain. Slowed-down versions of the Crank soundtrack have surfaced on TikTok. A YouTube video tagged with #ChevAscension re-emerged recently. And on obscure forums, users claim to be part of a continuing movement—one they say Reddit could not kill. Whether or not Stathamism was a genuine belief system, a viral parody, or a tragic blend of both, the film seeks to hold a mirror up to the internet age's most absurd and dangerous tendencies. At its core, Stathamism is not just a film about a cult. It is a reflection on the digital landscapes we inhabit, and how belief can grow unchecked in the strangest of places. TIME BUSINESS NEWS

Temitope Oriola: Fighting violent online network preying on kids requires all-of-society approach

The RCMP announced on Thursday the terrorism-related arrest of a 15-year old Alberta boy. He is being charged under Section 810.011 of the Criminal Code — Fear of terrorism offence. This section of the Criminal Code states that 'A person who fears on reasonable grounds that another person may commit a terrorism offence may, with the attorney general's consent, lay an information before a provincial court judge.' This suggests that the RCMP had reason to believe the boy might carry out an act of terrorism. The boy allegedly belongs to '764', a loose, nodal, rhizomatic, supranational network of online violent entities. The RCMP news release describes 764 network as 'a transnational online ecosystem of violent online predators who routinely lure youth, particularly those in vulnerable sectors, and encourage them to commit sexual acts, self-harm, and the torture of animals. Elements of The Com/764 network are known to have extreme ideological views and are victimizing children through desensitizing and radicalizing them to violence.' This is indeed a national security concern and global problem. In March 2025, the FBI issued a warning regarding 'a sharp increase in the activity of 764 and other violent online networks which operate within the United States and around the globe.' The statement notes that the networks 'methodically target and exploit minors and other vulnerable individuals.' Crimes like rape, murder, child pornography, sextortion, kidnapping, et cetera, have been linked to the network around the world. There have been arrests, charges and/or convictions of its members in Brazil, the U.K., Spain, U.S., Romania, Sweden, and Australia, among others. 764 is believed to have been founded by a Texas teenager, Bradley Cadenhead, in 2021. It has multiple sub-entities. One of the more telling is 'No Lives Matter.' The nihilism — ostensible meaninglessness of life — presupposed by the network is evident in the name. The network encourages members to engage in and livestream self-harm and suicide. This is a quintessentially vile 21st century network. Its activities have been catalyzed by the relative anonymity and instantaneity of the Internet and social media platforms. While we are right to focus on the Facebooks of this world, others like Discord, Twitch and Telegram are being deployed by 764. In September 2022, while appearing before the Standing Committee on Human Rights for the Senate, I stated the need to focus on all forms of terrorism. Jihadi terrorism had been the epicentre of national security concerns with relatively scant attention to 'homegrown' terrorism. That gave an inadvertent latitude to the incel network, for example, to carry out attacks they had been discussing online for weeks without seemingly being interrogated. It contributed to tragedies such as the van attack by Alek Minassian in Toronto in 2018. Words have meanings. It appears we are entering a new era of co-locating and cross-fertilizing people's online and offline words and actions. We learned the hard way. The arrest of the 15-year-old may be viewed as a lesson from the Incel rebellion. The RCMP deserves commendation for moving swiftly before any apparent damage could be done. Dealing with transnational actors like the 764 network requires an all-of-society approach. The significance of the role of social media companies cannot be overstated: what content they allow on their platforms, minimum requirements of registration (if any), and surveillance of suspicious words and images. It is also crucial to strengthen legislation regulating social media organizations. Nonetheless, there is no substitute to parental responsibility. Parents must be vigilant about the online activities of their children. It may be cool at first that a child almost always remains in their room but being camped in the basement for days and weeks on end meeting with online friends should elicit parental curiosity. Social engagement of young people is important. Such online groups prey on social isolation, alienation and boredom of young people. We need to provide opportunities for sports, volunteering and other avenues to bond with non-criminal peers. Such activities may also contribute to building the confidence of our young people. Mental health support is fundamental given the self-harm and suicidal ideation that are integral to the imprimatur of 764. I strongly recommend the RCMP resource page on what signs parents can observe to prevent entanglement of children in violent online networks.
