Miley Cyrus won't tour 'Something Beautiful,' cites 'mental wellness'

File Photo by John Angelillo/UPI | License Photo July 15 (UPI) -- Miley Cyrus is opening up about why she isn't touring her recently released album, Something Beautiful. The singer and former Hannah Montana actress discussed her decision on Good Morning America Tuesday. "I do have the physical ability and I have the opportunities to tour," Cyrus said. "I wish I had the desire, but I don't. I also don't think that there is actually an infrastructure that supports artists." "It's really hard to maintain sobriety when you're on the road, which is a really important kind of pillar of stability in my life," she continued, adding that "it's really hard to keep mental wellness on tour." Something Beautiful arrived in May, two years after Cyrus' album Endless Summer Vacation, which arrived in 2023. Her accompanying musical film and visual album dropped June 12. Cyrus called the project "fabulous" and "super joyful." "I'm in ultimate kind of fulfillment with this project, the music itself, the film -- I'm just really proud of the outcome," she said. You may or may not remember that, around this exact time last year, Vanessa Hudgens welcomed her first child with husband Cole Tucker. Well, in the immortal words of Twin Peaks, it is happening again — as earlier this morning, Vanessa revealed on IG that she's pregnant for a second time. Benny Blanco admits he never saw Selena Gomez's show 'Wizards of Waverly Place' until they started dating: 'I knew she was a kid star'
Wizards of Waverly Place made Selena Gomez a star, but her fiancé Benny Blanco admitted that he never watched the show. On the latest episode of the Therapuss With Jake Shane podcast, Blanco said he asked Gomez to watch her Disney Channel sitcom ahead of her appearance on the reboot, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. "I knew she was, like, a kid star, but I had never seen any of it," he said of his fiancée. The music producer's only familiarity with the show was with its theme song, as Billie Eilish had used the tune as inspiration for her track "Bad Guy." Initially hesitant, Gomez agreed to watch the original Wizards with Blanco, who said she showed him "a few good scenes.""I get it," he said. Blanco also shared that he had never heard of the Jonas Brothers until the group came out with "Sucker" in 2019, despite Gomez dating Nick Jonas when they were both Disney kids. Blanco attributed this to the fact that he was older than Disney Channel's target demographic when Gomez and the Jonas Brothers were associated with the network. Gomez returned to her role as the mischievous Alex Russo on Wizards Beyond Waverly Place last year and is expected to appear in the upcoming second season. The news comes just months after the couple welcomed their first child in July 2024. Hudgens first shared her pregnancy news earlier this year during the 2024 Oscars red carpet pre-show, which she co-hosted while wearing a fitted black gown that highlighted her baby bump. Here's what Vanessa Hudgens said about privacy When their first baby was born, Hudgens was frustrated by paparazzi invading their special moment. After TMZ published photos of her leaving a Santa Monica hospital in a wheelchair with her newborn, Hudgens wrote on Instagram, 'We're disappointed that our family's privacy was disrespected and exploited during this very special time due to the greed of a long lens camera feeding the media.' Despite the unwanted attention, Hudgens and Tucker have stayed positive and focused on family life. The couple tied the knot in December 2023 in a destination wedding in Mexico. Hudgens also has big plans professionally. She will star in and produce Quiet Storm, a dramatic thriller set in 1969 that explores women's liberation, the Black Power movement, and Hurricane Camille, as per Billboard. It will be Hudgens' first major film role since becoming a mom.
