Dove Cameron shares a loving tribute to her Descendants co-star... six years after his tragic death

Dove Cameron has remembered late co-star and close friend Cameron Boyce on Wednesday, which would have been his 26th birthday. The 29-year-old actress made an emotional tribute to the actor, who died in 2019 at age 20 during a fatal seizure while sleeping at his Los Angeles home. 'I still feel you all the time. catch you in the next life. happy birthday. i love you,' wrote the versatile actress. The former Disney star shared four black-and-white photographs with her Descendants costar. One saw them goofing around, another shot showed them in an embrace then there was a cast shot from Descendants and finally there was an image of a tattoo on her arm of a gun that shot out a rose. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Soon after he passed Dove posted a video talking about her friend. 'Cameron was always good and kind,' the entertainer said. 'He was selfless and generous, he was magnanimous and arguably a true philanthropist at only 20. Beloved by anyone who had ever been lucky enough to experience his light and indescribable energy. Cameron was the ultimate example of a human being.' 'I felt really weird posting about Cameron on social media,' said the actress, who had her hair pulled back and wore dark frame glasses in the emotional clip. The red carpet regular read from a letter she penned about the actor, who portrayed Carlos to her Mal in the popular film series. 'The last 72 hours have felt like two weeks and I've spent them trying to make my thoughts and feelings into words that might communicate anything about what I'm feeling,' the Seattle native said. 'I've been unsuccessful ... my system is still in shock and my brain is still foggy and full of holes.' She paid homage to Boyce's family, saying her heart aches for them. 'Cameron was one of my favorite people alive in the world, though I know that's not unique to me,' she said. 'Cameron was magic - an earth angel.' The Hairspray Live alum said that Boyce was always a loyal and caring friend to her, offering examples of his kind nature: 'Over the last six years, since he was only 14, Cameron talked me down from countless ledges, got me through eating disorders, helped me out of a dark relationship and through endless breakdowns.' Dove opened up about their on-set interactions, recalling charming details about the professional chemistry they shared. 'He would whisper the dance moves to me on live television when I didn't know what I was doing or hold my hand quietly to communicate wordlessly when we both knew we were thinking the same thing,' she said. 'I can't count on my hands the number of times we ruined something because we couldn't stop making each other laugh.' Dove called Boyce 'undoubtedly the most talented person most of us will ever know,' noting that his actions when the cameras were off were just as magnanimous. 'Goodbye my dear, dear friend and brother, you leave behind a colossal wake, a profound chasm that can never be filled,' Dove said, 'but you also leave millions and millions of deeply impacted, hope-filled and love-filled human beings who are who they are because of you and how you spent your brief 20 years on this earth. She continued, saying, 'What a gift you were, you turned the world on its head. We can all only hope to be half of the human that you were - and you deserved so much more time. 'Goodbye to an earth angel: I will spend the rest of my life missing and loving you and all the better for knowing you.' Dove joined a long list of Boyce's former co-workers to share condolences for the actor's family following his tragic passing. They included Grown Ups co-stars, Adam Sandler, Salma Hayek and David Spade.

‘When they ask if Disney Channel paid me well': Former Child Star shares pay reality

A former child star has shared the jaw-dropping amount he makes in residuals from a popular Disney channel show. Ryan McCartan, 31, starred in Liv and Maddie, a successful tween show that ran from 2013 to 2017. Usually, famous people shy away from discussing money, but he took to Instagram to reveal how much he still makes from the hit show. Residuals are an extra payment made to actors when re-runs are aired. It is separate from the salary they're paid initially. The star really aimed for transparency when he took to Instagram and shared his recent residual cheque of $41 cents. 'When they ask me if Disney Channel paid me well,' he joked. Thankfully, McCartan isn't relying on his measly residual paycheques to get by. Instead, the actor is currently starring in the musical version of The Great Gatsby on Broadway. The 31-year-old also has a million followers on Instagram and describes himself as a 'role model to tens of theatre kids' but he perhaps still most famous for his past relationship. He previously engaged to fellow former Disney star Dove Cameron. The pair met on the Liv and Maddie show and got engaged in 2016 after two years of dating, but they called off their engagement in the same year. McCartan announced their break-up on X and said, 'Dove has decided this relationship isn't what she wants' and added that the pair still loved each other and asked fans to be sensitive because it was a 'painful' time. Cameron also tweeted about their break-up, saying it was an 'intense' time and adding that there was still lots of love between the pair. Later in an interview with Seventeen magazine she admitted it was her first ever real relationship. 'It was on-screen and off-screen. A lot of what I went through in that first relationship, the very low-lows, I did not make public.' 'I was under the impression that I had to make everything look perfect all the time and my partner definitely put that in my ear,' she said. Cameron also said that while fans thought they were sharing 'loads' of their relationship online, she felt like she'd hardly shared anything. Meanwhile, McCartan went on the podcast, allegedly, and said the break-up was 'really hard' and 'plain out sucks,' but he understood that time would heal everything.

Disney Channel fans stunned by star's shock transformation as he hits major life milestone

Disney Channel fans were left stunned by a former Liv and Maddie child star's transformation after it was revealed that he had hit a major milestone. Tenzing Norgay Trainor, now 23, was skyrocketed into the spotlight in 2013 when he was cast as Parker Rooney in the show alongside Dove Cameron, Joey Bragg, Kali Rocha, and Benjamin King. He starred in the beloved series at only 12 years old, but now, flash forward a decade later and he's all grown up. The actor revealed via Instagram on Tuesday that he had officially graduated from college. And when popular X (formerly Twitter) account Pop Crave reposted his announcement on the platform along with a snap of him at his graduation, many former fans of the show were left stunned over how much older he looks. People all across the globe who loved Liv and Maddie when they were younger were hit with a wave of nostalgia upon learning that Tenzing is now a college grad. 'Suddenly, I feel old,' one user replied. 'Omg congrats. Glo' up,' added another, while a third wrote, 'My childhood crush.' 'Love seeing Disney stars grow up and chase new dreams. Congrats, Tenzing,' a fourth post read. A different tweet said, 'Big congrats to Tenzing Trainor! From Disney star to college grad - love to see that glo'-up.' 'Good to see a Disney star turn out well,' agreed a different user. 'Oh my god I had the biggest crush on him growing up watching him on TV,' announced someone else. 'Not just a Liv and Maddie legend, now a college grad too? We love growth,' penned another person. Tenzing started with stage acting at the age of eight after he attended theater camp. He landed a few small appearances in shows like Stevie TV, Bits and Pieces, and Good Luck Charlie, before he was cast in Liv and Maddie as Parker. The show followed identical twins Liv and Maddie who are forced to share a room after living completely different lives for years.
