Texas A&M freshman 5-star WR is looking healthy in latest video

Texas A&M's 2025 wide receiver rotation is built on speed and quickness, which should result in consistent separation in coverage after head coach Mike Elko and his staff landed KC Concepcion (NC State), Mario Craver (Mississippi State), and Jonah Wilson (Houston) from the transfer portal, while 2025 signees TK Norman, Kelshaun Johnson and five-star Jerome Myles represent the future rotation. However, after missing a majority of his senior high school season in Draper, Utah due to a knee injury, Jerome Myles is back and 100% healthy with an eye on contributing at a high level during the 2025 season, bringing his notable size at 6'2" and 220 pounds and speed that fits what Elko and OC Collin Klein are looking for to fill the void left by junior Noah Thomas, who transferred to Georgia this offseason. While many worried that health would be an issue after Myles was the last signee from the 2025 class to make it to campus, that is now in the rearview mirror, meaning getting up to speed with the rest of the wide receiver rotation is key to make an instant impact this fall. In a new video from Myles' Instagram, courtesy of On3/Rivals recruiting insider Jaxson Callaway, the Utah native is already looking the part before fall camp officially begins next week. For someone coming off an ACL injury, Myles is looking like a player with a chance to crack the starting lineup, but will more than likely be the No. 4 option for starting quarterback Marcel Reed once he gets acclimated to the speed of college offenses. Either way, this is a great sign for the Aggies, who know that no matter how long it takes, Jerome Myles is destined for stardom. Walker Goes on Hike of Capitol Peak, Unprepared for What Find at the Summit

The unusual find highlights a growing interest in outdoor exploration. During the COVID-19 pandemic, participation in outdoor recreation surged by 26 percent as Americans sought safe, socially distant ways to connect with nature, according to the Outdoor Industry Association. By 2021, a record 164 million Americans aged 6 and older had participated in outdoor recreation at least once, the OIA said. In 2023, day hiking emerged as the most-popular outdoor activity in the United States, accounting for 20 percent of all participants, according to data compiled by global research firm Statista. Fishing was the second-most-common activity. Draper said that determining the significance of such carvings, like the ones in the Reddit post, requires assessing multiple factors, including the rock's surroundings and method of marking. Observing how the stones have been shaped, whether it was carved, chipped, tumbled, or worn by natural processes such as wind, water, or glaciation, is also important, Draper said, adding that "a truly ancient carving would exhibit a consistent degree of wear." The Reddit images showed a relatively isolated stone or group of stones, with no broader decorative or ritualistic context, which Draper said is atypical for ancient symbols. "Early writing and symbolic systems often make use of available surfaces more fully. Ancient inscriptions and symbols are typically part of a broader communicative or decorative system used to track possessions, recount stories, mark time, perform rituals, or even display graffiti," he said. He compared the Capitol Peak find with rare anomalies such as the Phaistos Disc, a clay artifact discovered on the island of Crete, which is marked with unknown symbols and dates to around 1700 BCE. But Draper was quick to point out that, in this case, "a small, isolated inscription with no supporting context or stylistic precedent is very unusual." Draper added that the markings don't appear to match those used by indigenous cultures in the region. "We must ask if the symbols or forms present align with those known from local Indigenous groups, such as the Ancestral Puebloans, Ute, Cheyenne, Arapaho, or Apache. In the case you're referencing [in the Reddit post], there appear to be no known traditional symbols associated with these cultures that resemble the markings in question," he said. Newsweek has contacted the original poster for comment via the Reddit messaging system. Do you have a travel-related video or story to share? Teenage boy charged over BMX allegedly modified into homemade motorbike

The 15-year-old was on the allegedly dodgy bike when he was stopped by police in Gympie on July 15. Police alleged the motorbike was made by modifying a BMX bike frame to take out the pedals and adding electric motors controlled by a throttle. A teenage boy has been charged for allegedly fashioning a BMX into a homemade 1000-watt motorbike in Queensland. (Queensland Police) Each motor was allegedly capable of more than 1000 watts. E-bikes can only be used on the roads if the pedals are the main source of power and the motor is 250 watts or under. "The modifications made to the bike intercepted in Gympie have resulted in the bike being recognised as a motorbike without indicators, lights, reflectors, bell or brakes," Wide Bay Burnett District Inspector Shane Draper said. "As this is considered a motorbike, the vehicle required registration and insurance, and the boy required a drivers licence." The 15-year-old was charged with one count each of driving of motor vehicle without a driver's licence, vehicles used on roads must be registered and driving an uninsured vehicle. He will appear in Gympie Children's Court on August 14. Police are trying to crack down on illegal e-bike and motorbike use in the area. Draper urged residents to report any incidents to police. "A powerful bike in the hands of an unlicenced and inexperienced driver is extremely dangerous to not only the rider, but also the other road users," he said. "Beyond enforcement, police are committed to educating the community about the dos and don'ts regarding e-bikes to ensure they're empowered to make smart decisions on the road. "I especially urge parents to be familiar with the regulations and road rules regarding e-bikes and to work with their child to understand and respect those rules. queensland national Australia police courts crime CONTACT US Auto news: Honda here to stay in Australia, announces growth plans.

Essendon coy on Lions move on injured big man Sam Draper: ‘News to me'

Essendon coach Brad Scott has played down rumours linking Sam Draper with a move to Brisbane, but concedes there are doubts whether the unrestricted free agent will stay. The Lions are expected to snare both Draper and West Coast co-captain Oscar Allen in what is set to be a bumper free agency period for the defending premiers. Draper is an unrestricted free agent, meaning Essendon have no power in halting a move away. Know the news with the 7NEWS app: Download today Allen is a restricted free agent, but with West Coast set to receive pick No.2 as compensation for losing him, it is highly unlikely they will match Brisbane's bid. Essendon (6-12) have endured a season from hell, with a raft of injuries forcing them to field a record-equalling 13 debutants this year. Draper is among the walking wounded at the Bombers, with the star ruckman ruled out for the rest of the season after rupturing his Achilles tendon in round six. The 26-year-old South Australian was also reportedly weighing up a switch to Adelaide, but that appears unlikely after the Crows re-signed ruckman Reilly O'Brien for a further three years. It leaves Brisbane in the box seat to land Draper - not that Scott has heard much about it. 'That's news to me, and I'd like to think that I would know before most,' Scott said on Wednesday. 'We're in constant dialogue. I've been really clear all year about supporting Drapes in terms of his decision-making process. 'He's got a big call to make. He loves Essendon and loves the opportunity he got here.' When asked about any doubts he may have about Draper choosing to stay, Scott was pragmatic. 'Well any player who's out of contract coming into August, there'd always be a question mark,' he said. 'But we won't be putting undue pressure on Drapes. He'll take as long as he needs to make his call. 'He's a much-loved member of our club and personally I'd love him to stay, and he knows that.' Essendon currently have 16 players on their injury list ahead of Saturday's clash with Sydney at the SCG. Jordan Ridley was the latest newcomer to that list, with the defender ruled out for four weeks after injuring his hamstring in last week's 93-point loss to the Western Bulldogs. It marks the third time Ridley has been cut down by a hamstring injury this year. 'It's not a true recurrence of the previous injury, but it's another hamstring injury,' Scott said. 'It's incredibly frustrating for him and for us. We really feel for him. All we can do now is go back to the drawing board. 'We're just determined to get him right. He's an important part of our long-term future, and we'll make whatever investment we need to get him right.'
