The Sun Dream Team is back! Everything you need to know about our fantasy football game ahead of the 2025/26 season

THE SUN Dream Team's fantasy football is now available to play ahead of the 2025/26 season! Aspiring managers can play for free via the Dream Team app or website with over £100,000 in prize money up for grabs. 8 Whether you're new to the world of Dream Team or a returning gaffer coming back for another crack at the world's most compelling fantasy game, here's everything you need to know. Prize Pool There are multiple ways to win cash this season, including an increased top prize for the overall winner. 1st: £60,000 2nd: £15,000 3rd: £5,000 4th: £3,000 5th: £2,000 6th - 10th: £1,000 each We're also giving away £250 after every Gameweek to the manager who earned the most points. This means you only have to get it right once to enhance your bank account. Furthermore, we'll be giving away £5,000 in the second half of the campaign via our Second Chance League. As if that wasn't enough, there will be a £5,000 prize draw among all entrants to Gameweek 1. Simply submit a team for the opening weekend and you could be celebrating the new season in fine style. That's well over £100,000 in total prize money across the season for our free-to-play fantasy game alone! 8 Team Selection You will have a starting budget of £50million to select a team of eleven Premier League players, with seven formations to choose from: 5-4-1 5-3-2 4-5-1 4-4-2 4-3-3 3-5-2 3-4-3 Your formation will change dynamically as you experiment with your team in the lead up to Gameweek 1. For example, if you initially select 4-3-3 but later decide 3-4-3 would work better, simply remove a defender and choose a midfielder as a replacement. The most expensive players in the game this season? Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland at £7.5m each! Once the action starts, player prices will fluctuate depending on form. Work the Dream Team stock market to your advantage and your XI will be worth more than £50million in no time. Don't forget to select a captain for each Gameweek, who will have their points doubled as a result. Your vice-captain will have their score doubled if your first-choice skipper doesn't play for any reason. 8 Scoring Points Dream Team's scoring system is perhaps the best aspect of the game. We recognise individual performances in suitable detail, without overcomplicating things, to ensure players receive due reward for their efforts. All Players Goal +6 points Assist +3 points Appearance (0-59 minutes) +1 point Appearance (60+ minutes) +1 point Shot on target +1 point Big chance created +1 point Successful tackles +1 point per two Yellow card -1 point Red card -3 points Penalty miss -3 points Own goal -2 points Goalkeepers & Defenders Only Clean sheet (minimum 60 minutes played) +5 points Each goal conceded over one goal -1 point Goalkeepers Only Saves +1 point per two Penalty save +3 points Players are also able to earn bonus points, based on other actions such as blocks, successful dribbles, interceptions, etc - see the Game Rules for a full breakdown. 8 Eligible Competitions Dream Team seeks to entertain you all week long. The Premier League provides the bread and butter but players will also score points in the Carabao Cup, FA Cup, Conference League, Europa League and Champions League (not including European qualifying rounds). With NINE English teams set to play in Europe this coming season, there will be shed-loads of points on offer in midweek. And you only have to look at the massive returns provided by the likes of Daniel Munoz, Eberechi Eze and Alexander Isak last season to see how valuable the domestic cups can be if targeted shrewdly. Transfers Once the season is underway, transfers become the most important aspect of the game as they allow you to swap under-performing players for superior replacements - at least that's the idea. You will have the option to make two transfers per Gameweek. Alternatively, if you're happy with your XI then you can roll transfers over to the following Gameweek. Similarly, if you have two transfers available and decide to use just one, then the unused transfer will carry over to the next Gameweek, when you'll have three at your disposal. Through rollovers, you can accumulate transfers until you reach the maximum of six. Managing your transfer allowance will be a key strategic element throughout the season. Please be aware that the deadline for each Gameweek falls 90 minutes before the first fixture kicks off - any transfers made after the cut-off time will not go through until the following Gameweek. The exception to this is Gameweek 1 when you will be able to make changes right up until Liverpool v Bournemouth kick-off at 8pm on 15th August - this is to ensure as many gaffers as possible avoid getting caught out by the Friday night start. Transfers are unlimited prior to Gameweek 1, allowing you to tinker to your heart's content. 8 Substitute Feature New for this season, we're introducing a Substitute feature to help you swerve those frustrating times when one of your key players is unexpectedly absent for an important fixture. Available to use five times throughout the campaign, Substitute allows you to swap out a player who didn't feature for another player who is yet to play that Gameweek. For example, if Bukayo Saka is unexpectedly absent from Arsenal's squad in the 12:30pm Saturday kick-off, you can activate Substitute once that fixture is complete and select a replacement for the Gunners' No7 from all the players yet to play, budget permitting. When the Gameweek concludes, Saka will regain his place in your XI but you'll keep the points earned by his replacement. Activating Substitute is the only way you'll be able to make changes after the Gameweek deadline that will take immediate effect. 8 Boosters You have three Boosters at your disposal, each with a special effect to aid your progress (if deployed smartly). Each Booster applies for the duration of a single Gameweek and can only be played individually (never in combination) once per season. You are not eligible to win a weekly cash prize if you activate a Booster. 8 Mini Leagues We encourage you to participate in private Mini Leagues against your friends, colleagues, family members… or whoever you can wrangle. For many gaffers, competing against their mates for bragging rights is the very essence of Dream Team. You are also able to join public Mini Leagues. We'll be on hand with plenty of tips, tricks, stats and facts via articles, newsletters and push notifications throughout the season.

Eagles 'Dream Team' QB Earns All-Time Worst Label

Eagles 'Dream Team' QB Earns All-Time Worst Label originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Philadelphia Eagles have had plenty of star quarterbacks on their roster over the last 25 years, but have also had their share of duds. Advertisement For every Donovan McNabb or Jalen Hurts, there has been a Mike McMahon or Kevin Kolb. (Actually, the ratio is worse than that, but we're being kind.) While there seems to be a legitimate debate about which signal-caller gets the top spot on the franchise's list of best quarterbacks since 2000, Eagles fans can engage in a similarly heated debate regarding who is the worst QB during this stretch. Yes, it's still NFL Listicle Season, and as we're 25 years into the century, it's also "All-Quarter-Century" time. What an honor. Unless ... PhillyVoice's Jimmy Kempski went upside-down and ranked an "Eagles Anti-All Quarter Century team" list and chose quarterback Vince Young as the signal-caller. Advertisement The logic? "Young only started three games for the Eagles, all in 2011. He went 1-2, with 4 TDs and 9 INTs. But he was also the player who called the Eagles a "Dream Team" during 2011 training camp," Kempski said. "In those days, Eagles training camps were still in Lehigh, and the media had a trailer where we wrote up our camp stories. "I can remember reporters hustling to the trailer to write up Young's 'Dream Team' comments before his presser had even ended." Young not productive as a Philadelphia QB, but Kempski is right about how he foolishly went out of his way to put a target on the back of the 2011 Eagles, who never came close to living up to that billing. Advertisement The Texas Longhorns legend and Heisman Trophy winner was once one of the best young quarterbacks in the game; he won Offensive Rookie of the Year in Tennessee. After that, though, Young struggled. And the Eagles were just one of the teams that suffered because of that — both due to his words and his inactions. "I have a real problem with that" - Clyde Drexler thinks putting only Michael Jordan and LeBron James in GOAT debate is an insult to the game's history

"I have a real problem with that" - Clyde Drexler thinks putting only Michael Jordan and LeBron James in GOAT debate is an insult to the game's history originally appeared on Basketball Network. Over the years, the conversation around the greatest basketball player of all time has tightened its focus into a narrow spotlight. Advertisement In most debates, the names Michael Jordan and LeBron James dominate the podium as if the hardwood history of the NBA began and ended with them. However, for Hall of Famer Clyde Drexler, that's not just incomplete but borderline disrespectful. The 10-time NBA All-Star, Olympic gold medalist and 1995 NBA champion recently pushed back against what he sees as a diluted version of basketball memory. Problem with the GOAT debate To Drexler, there's a whole generation of icons who not only carried the league before Jordan took flight or James redefined longevity, but also set the standard for what excellence in basketball looks like. Advertisement "I have a real problem with that," Drexler said on narrowing the GOAT debate. "For all these guys who played the game, for you to have a conversation, are these two guys the GOAT when you got Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, two of the greatest players that ever lived, you start with those two." Drexler's tone isn't bitter but protective of legacy, memory, and what it took for the league to evolve into today's global phenomenon. His point isn't that Jordan and LeBron don't belong in the conversation; it's that reducing the entire discussion to just them misrepresents what greatness has looked like across decades. Wilt Chamberlain once scored 100 points in a single game and still holds records that seem cartoonish by modern standards, averaging 50.4 points and 25.7 rebounds during the 1961-62 season. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's resume is stacked with six MVP awards, six championships, a scoring title that stood for nearly 40 years and the skyhook, which is arguably the most unguardable shot the sport has ever seen. Advertisement Between the two of them, they set statistical bars so high they can only be whispered about today. Chamberlain and Abdul-Jabbar played in eras with different styles, but both dominated with such consistency that entire rule changes were enacted to slow them down. Yet somehow, in today's debates, their names often fall to the second row. Related: "That kind of talent simply doesn't happen" - Del Harris said 17-year-old Kobe was 'slightly better' than 24-year-old Eddie Jones Recognizing legends Drexler sees the narrow debate as an injustice not just to the legends, but to the game itself. As a key member of the legendary 1992 Dream Team and a contemporary of both Magic Johnson and Michael, Clyde's perspective is earned from the thick of competition, not distant admiration. Advertisement Beyond Abdul-Jabbar and Chamberlain, Drexler opened the floor to a roll call of giants whose resumes still echo through NBA lore. "And then you've got guys like Dr. J [Julius Erving], Larry Bird, George Gervin, Elgin Baylor, Oscar Robertson, Jerry West… all those guys are in the conversation," Drexler said. "For people bringing this up today, to me, it's unbelievable. And I love Michael and LeBron, but let's not take something away from those other guys who played." Each name brings a different chapter of greatness. Julius Erving was the prototype of modern athletic flair, bridging streetball magic and NBA finesse. Advertisement Larry Bird was the deadeye marksman with the coldest trash talk and three MVP awards in a row to back it up. George Gervin floated across the court with the smoothest finger roll ever seen. Oscar Robertson averaged a triple-double before it was ever trendy, doing it across a full season in 1961–62, a feat not repeated until Russell Westbrook decades later. Elgin Baylor dropped 61 points in an NBA Finals game while juggling military duties. And Jerry West remains a symbol of NBA excellence, both in name and silhouette, bringing 10 Finals appearances and a career scoring average north of 27. These players didn't just play; they shifted paradigms. They forced defenses to adjust, made the league more marketable and laid the groundwork that allowed superstars like Jordan and James to thrive. Omitting them erases legacies. Highland Park celebrates July 4 with return of a remembrance ceremony and parade

This year's July 4 events in Highland Park included the return of a morning indoor remembrance ceremony, held this time at The Moraine, and the 11 a.m. parade on the same route as last year's parade. The parade's newer route takes an alternate route to Central Avenue and diverts from the Port Clinton Square block, where seven people were killed and many were injured at the parade on July 4, 2022. The deceased victims are Katie Goldstein of Highland Park, Irina McCarthy of Highland Park, Kevin Michael McCarthy of Highland Park, Stephen Straus of Highland Park, Jacki Lovi Sundheim of Highland Park, Nicolás Toledo of Morelos, Mexico and Eduardo Uvaldo of Waukegan. Bobby Crimo of Highwood was convicted of the crimes this past spring. The 2025 parade stepped off on Laurel Avenue and First Street and included 37 parade entries. The parade concluded at Sunset Woods Park after about an hour, under cloudy to sunny skies and a mid-70-degree range of weather. The City of Highland Park and the Park District of Highland Park presented the community-focused parade with a theme of the 'Dream Team.' 'What a great morning celebrating Highland Park's team spirit,' said Highland Park Mayor Nancy Rotering. 'We are so fortunate to live in a community that is exceptionally engaged and supportive.' Lake County State's Attorney Eric Rinehart also walked the parade route with elected officials. 'Let's all be safe,' Rinehart said to people on Independence Day. Rinehart encouraged all to, 'think about those that have been impacted by the parade three years ago. 'Hope everyone has a great, safe, and meaningful day,' Rinehart added.

The condo apartment that Michael Scott lived in during the American series The Office is now up for sale on Zillow, with a pending sale as of July 1. On The Office, the condo was located at 126 Kellum Court inside the Kellum Court complex in Scranton, Pennsylvania. It was featured in several episodes, including the fan-favorites "The Dinner Party," "Fun Run," and "Dream Team." "The Dinner Party," the 13th episode of the show's fourth season, was ranked by Variety as the best episode of the entire series. Variety said the episode contained "some of the most hilarious scenes of the entire series." The condo was selected because of the "flow" and "openness," according to director Paul Feig during his guest appearance on the podcast Office Ladies, hosted by actors Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey, who played Pam Beesly and Angela Martin, respectively. The condo is actually located roughly an hour outside of downtown Los Angeles in the Reseda neighborhood, the listing boasts "famous neighbors" such as actor Johnny Depp and filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan. Steve Carell, winner of Best Performance by an Actor In A Television Series - Musical Or Comedy for "The Office" and NBC's Jeff Zucker. Charbonneau/WireImage for Universal Pictures The three-bed, three-bathroom condo is listed at $710,000 as a "very clean, well kept, turn-key home" that offers 1,458 square feet, has direct access to a two-car garage, and a back patio. The listing has a "pending sale" as of July 1 after 70 days on the market, but the realtor is still accepting back-up offers. A turn-key home means that the buyer should expect little to no updates or maintenance ahead of taking up residence. The property has a tax-assessed value of $656,477 and has a value as high as $736,000 as the "estimated sales range," on Zillow. The property requires a $550 per month Homeowners Association (HOA) fee, which covers yard maintenance and "controlled access" to the gated community and even includes earthquake insurance—likely unsurprising given its location. The Zillow listing for the property describes it as a "great starter home or downsize home as it can be easily managed and maintained." The listing previously sold in 2005, the year The Office debuted in the U.S.—for around $490,000 and was listed for sale on April 19 this year. The gated community in which home is located contains 36 homes overall, and based on previous sales, at least some of the properties have identical layouts. A condo located next door had been listed for sale in 2022, which had the "exact same floor plan," according to the New York Post. The home listed for $699,000 at that time, and ultimately sold for around $755,000.
