Half term holiday horror as woman hit by car in seaside town
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened to come forward

A woman has been seriously injured after being struck by a car in a Welsh seaside down. The collision, involving a car and the woman, happened on Castle Street in Beaumaris on Anglesey on Wednesday morning (May 28).
Emergency services including the Wales Air Ambulance, were called he scene shortly after 11.30am. North Wales Police confirmed the woman was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd hospital by ambulance following the collision. Officers are now appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to contact them. Sergeant Duncan Logan, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "We'd like to thank all those who have already spoken to officers at the scene."
"We know that Beaumaris was busy today due to the half term holiday, so we are urging anybody who may have witnessed the incident, or anybody who may have been travelling along Castle Street and who may captured anything via their dash cam footage to contact us immediately."
The road remained closed while officers made their initial enquiries, reports North Wales Live.
