Matalan shoppers rush to buy £20 white bedding set reduced to 50p in special offer

MATALAN shoppers can snap up a 'luxury'-looking bedding set for just 50p in a limited-time deal. The White Butterfly Duvet Cover, normally priced at £21, is available for less than £1 when new customers sign up to Top Cashback. The deal is available online across the UK and applies to the double size set, which includes the duvet cover and matching pillowcases, both featuring a delicate embossed butterfly pattern. New Top Cashback members can get the set for just 50p after claiming a £2 cashback bonus, while existing members can still enjoy a hefty saving, picking it up for £15.50 with the same bonus. Offers are also available on the single and king sizes. The single size, usually £16, is completely free after cashback for new members, or £11.33 for existing ones. One happy customer wrote: "Outstanding in quality and style. Even more stunning than l was expecting. So reasonably priced in fact l will be purchasing a second set. I would 100 per cent recommend this product." Over at Dunelm, shoppers can find up to 50 per cent off selected duvet sets in a seasonal sale. One popular waffle set now ranges from £25.60 to £41.60, down from £32 to £52, and comes in a choice of colours including sage green, black, grey, blue and white. Meanwhile, Dusk is offering up to 25 per cent off bedding, including the 200 thread count Portofino Waffle Duvet Cover, reduced to between £27.50 and £49.50. Matching pillowcases, usually £22, are now £11 for a pair. Back at Matalan, more glowing reviews have poured in for the White Butterfly set. One buyer said: "Beautiful butterfly design, excellent quality and great value. Looks like luxury item." Another added: "Looks good, feels good, just adds a bit of luxury." A third commented: "Just gorgeous. Embossed butterflies on it. "Feels nice too, very comfy it." A fifth review simply read: "Excellent value for money." However, potential buyers should note a couple of small drawbacks. The set is machine washable, but there's no mention of whether it's suitable for tumble drying—something to consider for busy households. And with the fabric's raised design, pet owners may need to be cautious as claws could potentially snag the material. For those looking to refresh their home on a budget, Dunelm is also offering significant discounts on various homeware items. Shoppers can find up to 75 per cent off in their clearance sale, including items like curtains, bedding, and rugs . Additionally, Dunelm's outlet stores across the UK offer up to 75 per cent off stylish home items, including boucle chairs, sofas, cabinets, and lighting. In the kitchenware department, Dunelm has launched a promotional offer, cutting the price of a 12-piece dinner set from £25 to just £12.50. This floral-designed set includes four dinner plates, four side plates, and four bowls, and is both dishwasher and microwave safe. 4 4

Skims straight-leg trousers that 'feel like butter' reduced to £36 in flash sale

Previously priced at £72 and available in multiple colours, these SKIMS cotton trousers are soft, flattering and perfectly cooling for the warmer weather It's a very good day when SKIMS has a sale, and it's even better when you find a best-selling product still in stock in plenty of sizes for a fraction of its usual RRP. This morning, we've spotted SKIMS' top-rated Cotton Jersey Straight Leg Pants on sale via the brand's UK website for £36 instead of £72– that's a big 50% saving. The biggest discount is in the Barely Pink and Dusk colourways, with the gorgeous ballerina-like Barely Pink still in stock in all sizes. If you want to shop the classic black (Soot) shade, that's also still in stock, but the cost for that shade is £50– still a big saving of £22. So why do we love them? The SKIMS Cotton Jersey Straight Leg Pant is made from the brand's signature cotton jersey fabric– a breathable, lightweight cotton blend with plenty of stretch and softness. This special material offers a soft yet still structured feel, making sure you feel comfy without compromising on shape. The straight-leg silhouette gives a clean, relaxed fit that sits naturally on the hips, with a gentle drape through the leg. An elasticated waistband with an added drawcord adds to the adjustability, while subtle tonal stitching keeps the design minimal and versatile. Available in a range of colours, including Barely Pink, Dusk, Light Heather Grey and Soot, these trousers can easily be styled up or down to suit any occasion– be it running errands or paired with a blazer for a business-meets-casual work look. The sizing is also, in SKIMS fashion, inclusive, ranging from XXS to 4X, catering to a diverse array of body types. But don't just take our word for it, shoppers also say they can't get enough of the trousers. One buyer writes: "These are even more comfortable than I expected and the fit is perfect. Now I need them in every colour." "These pants are ridiculously soft and breathable. If you're looking for some loungewear, that doesn't suffocate you or make you feel hot. These are perfect," adds another, while a third chimes in with: "Very nice material hugs my curves best lounge pants I've ever owned, hands down. I need these in all colours.: Others call them "butter-soft" and their "favourite ever pair of trousers", however, another reviewer had a slightly different take, writing: "Super soft and comfortable but very very long definitely size down." Elsewhere, our shopping writer Grace believes she's found the 'perfect' summer blouse she'll be wearing on repeat. She says: "Our fashion team recently got a first look at Finery's latest summer drop, and it's full of everything we want to wear this season. Think easy linen, laid-back denim, soft neutrals, and elevated everyday staples, all with a focus on wearability and timeless style. "One item caught my eye in particular, thanks to its high-quality, chic look and breathable summer fabric. If you've been looking for a blouse that feels polished but still lets you breathe, enter the Adalia White Cotton Blouse; a crisp white top that's the perfect combination of stylish and practical."

Five Dusk luxury-for-less pieces I'm coveting as a first-time buyer

From cow print accent chairs to beautiful bed frames and dining tables - these are the household staples I'm eyeing up ahead of my move I'm a first time buyer currently scouring the housing market for my dream house, and as someone who has never moved out from under their parents' roof - not even for university - it also means that I'm starting from scratch when it comes to furniture and furnishings, too. Unfortunately, I have a love of interiors but a budget that doesn't quite stretch to designer price tags. But in a bid to save money in the long run, I want to 'buy better, buy once' to avoid replacing cheap, shoddy flatpack in years to come. And after browsing their latest collections, 'luxury for less' retailer Dusk has just found themselves as my go-to for kitting out my home. I recently attended the brand's SS25 press day, where I was able to see and feel a selection of their most popular new-in pieces. It was a great way to get hands-on with their furniture, seeing as they don't have physical stores like Dunelm or Marks and Spencer. Even has a presence on the high street, with locations within Next stores across the UK. Dusk, who pride themselves on quality designs at affordable prices, has taken inspiration from around the world for their latest launches, from the pops of colour of the French Riviera, to the soft tones of English Gardens and rich textures of New York lofts. There were a couple of pieces that really stood out to me and have fast made it onto my wishlist, including accent chairs in trending prints, pretty bed frames and a dining table that's racked up some impressive shopper reviews. Here are five Dusk pieces I'm eyeing up for my new home: Surrey Bed Frame sage green - £389 One of the first pieces of furniture we'll need to pick up is a bed and this frame feels like something straight out of a boutique countryside retreat. The sage dress stripe is soft and elegant, yet still a really fun way to add colour and pattern to a room without it feeling too maximalist. The curved headboard and main frame is upholstered with a cool, linen fabric, complete with turned wooden legs. Available in double and king sizes, it pairs seamlessly with crisp white bedding for a fresh, airy look or layers of rich textures for a cosier feel. Plus, a shopper on the site said it 'was very easy to put together ' which is about as much convincing as I need. There is also some space under the bed which is ideal for storage, however, it would be visible so not ideal for those who prefer their clutter out of sight. An ottoman bed could be a good alternative, with this Egerie Curved Head board Slate Blue Striped Fabric Ottoman Storage Bed from Daals coming in at £439.99 for a king size. Or, you could upgrade a regular bed frame with a striped headboard, like the £170 Habitat Onda Linen Kingsize Headboard in sage. Rae Accent Chair - Cow Print Cow print is having a serious moment in fashion at the moment, having overtaken leopard as the reigning animal pattern dominating the high street. And whether you're going full gothic western with interiors rooted in Americana, or want to add character to a more minimalist space or reeding corner, this chair is the perfect addition to your cosy nooks. Originally £199, it's currently down to £139 saving £60 and I can confirm it's as comfortable as it looks, with a deep, plush back and seat cushion. The accent chair is part of Dusk's New York Loft aesthetic and it pairs really beautifully with rich earthy tones. Think pops of terracotta, exposed brick and houseplants - a dream. The brand's Rae chairs, which come in a range of colours and styles, including dining chairs and bar stools, have earned an overall rating of 4.87 out of five. One shopper wrote: 'Absolutely love it looks so good in the corner of my living room! Even the cat approves.' Another added: 'Love my chair, easy to put together and great value for money too.' 'Easy to put together, it's comfy and looks a lot more expensive,' said a third. However, a third knocked off a star, writing: 'Very sturdy and look more expensive than they are, slight issue with some of the metal work on 2 of the chairs but this was rectified quickly via email with customer service.' Dusk isn't the only retailer leaning into the cow print trend, though. Elsewhere, B&Q has this Wood Frame Black and White Spots Velvet Upholstered Recliner Chair Armchair, also for £139. If a chair isn't for you, but you do want to incorporate the print into your interior design, Dunelm has this Marley Faux Cow Fur Storage Ottoman for £99, which not only helps hide clutter, but doubles as extra seating when guests visit too. Stockholm Wood Veneer 1 Drawer Nightstand - Mahogany - £142 I have a real love of mid-century style wooden furniture; think long sideboards and coffee tables. As for bedside tables, these Stockholm Wood Veneer nightstands from Dusk are right up my street. Coming in wood, walnut or mahogany, the distinctive chevron design adds texture to the design, and looks incredibly sleek. I love the drawer, where you can stash bedside essentials like your favourite moisturiser or a satin sleep mask. At £142, they're on the pricier side, though, and perhaps not as easy to assemble as other Dusk pieces, with one shopper commenting: 'The furniture is lovely, but it was hard to put in the screws to attach the legs.' Marks and Spencer's Monroe Bedside Table comes in cheaper at £129, and has earned praise from homeware fans, one of which commented: 'Loved this item beautiful table looks expensive. Arrived well packaged, heavy not cheaply made. Very pleased.' While I do like the handles on the Dusk drawer, I also love that you could make this piece more unique by adding your own drawer handle. Hattie Panel Round 4-6 Seater Pedestal Dining Table - Black - £329 This round dining table has some amazing reviews on the Dusk website and when I was at their press day, I heard at least three people say they already owned it and were full of praise for the table. Big enough to seat four to six people, it'll be ideal for my partner and I, and will be able to accommodate when we want to host guests, too. It's made with a natural, solid wood effect veneer with a smooth round top and panelled black stool with vertical ridges all around, which is gorgeous to look at, but now I can't help but wonder if it will be a bit of a dust magnet? That said, it's earned 4.89 stars from shoppers, one of which said: 'Beautiful table. Just what we needed to fill a small space in our kitchen. Got chairs to go with it as well.' Another added: 'Easy to assemble and it looks much more expensive than it was. Really impressed. Also came quite quickly, quicker than the anticipated date.' However, a third penned: 'I do love the table. The only downside I had was when I attached the plate to the pedestal base 3 out of 4 screws are spinning and don't tighten. There are a few scratches on the table top too.' For a similar style, Debenhams has this Birlea Round Fluted Dining Table Axel for slightly cheaper at £299.99. However, this version doesn't currently have any shopper reviews, which are often helpful when helping make considered purchases on higher priced items like furniture. Bondi 3 Seater Sofa - Cappuccino - £899 When it comes to a sofa, comfort is key, but I still want something that looks the part. I've given up on convincing my partner to allow us to get a leopard print sofa, which was my first choice, but this cappuccino number from Dusk is a serious contender. It's described by the brand as 'modern luxury meets everyday comfort', and reminds me of something you might find in a celebrity home, like Molly Mae Hague's. The bubble design is playful and perfect for larger living areas. Its sculptural form really makes a statement, but it's not just a visual masterpiece, because it's actually ridiculously comfortable, as though the phrase 'luxurious lounging' was made just for this sofa. Elsewhere, Love Sofas has the T eddy Boucle Fabric Sage Green Atrani 3 Seater Sofa, which is down to £699.99. However, it only has one review, and it's sadly one star, with Karen commenting: 'I was very disappointed with this sofa. It was very uncomfortable. Would not buy again.' Our home and interiors enthusiast, Lauren, has also put together a list of her top home brands to shop now, which include Oliver Bonas, Swyft and more. The Dunelm Cosy Shaggy Rug has been slashed by half price When it comes to interior design, everyone desires a visually appealing space, especially as Pinterest wishlists expand and TikTok influencers flaunt their latest purchases. However, not all of us want to splurge to achieve a stylish living area. Dunelm has become a go-to for UK shoppers seeking decor, furniture and home essentials. It's a trusted destination for those looking to spruce up their interiors - and now, there's an opportunity to snag a new rug at a steal, with Dunelm's Cosy Shaggy Rug reduced to £12.50 from £25 on their website. ‌ The rug is offered in two hues - a creamy pebble tone or rich chocolate brown - allowing customers to select the perfect shade for their homes. The 4x5.5ft rug is said to complement any decor and style, crafted from durable polyester with a plush, cosy texture. ‌ Whether destined for a bedroom or a lounge, shoppers can rest assured that the rug will retain its colour, thanks to its fade-resistant properties. Its neutral tones make it a versatile addition to any colour scheme, ensuring the new acquisition will integrate seamlessly into buyers' homes. If the style of this rug doesn't quite match what customers are seeking, they might consider the Indulgence Dune Rug for £49 from Dunelm. This hand-carved piece boasts a unique design and is described as soft and comfortable. It's available in various colours and sizes. ‌ For those willing to spend a bit more, the Theo Handwoven Wool Rug for £160 from Dusk could be an option. Measuring 120 x 170cm, it's crafted from wool and comes in four shades - white, light grey, taupe or charcoal, reports the Manchester Evening News. However, the Dunelm shaggy rug has garnered a 4.5 out of 5-star rating on their website, based on 80 reviews. One customer described it as "Cheap and cheerful," adding, "It's more brown than I was expecting and a good size." ‌ Another satisfied customer commented: "Lovely dark brown colour. A bargain for £12.50. The rug looks expensive and I bought another one as it really is a bargain." However, not everyone shared these positive views. One customer noted: "It's okay for the price but unfortunately is very sparse and extremely thin." Another person remarked: "For the price it's okay, it does the job of looking good and soft but it's very thin and needs an underlay.."# ‌ But another pleased buyer stated: "Excellent quality for a very cheap price. Half price and well worth the money." Homewares deal of the week With summer on the horizon, you'll be wanting to spend more time in your garden relaxing. To help keep you protected from harmful UV rays, a stylish parasol can really refresh your outdoors space. Fortunately, Asda has just bought back its sell-out item that shoppers can't stop raving over. The supermarket's highly coveted Riviera Stripe Parasol was so popular when it first launched in 2024 that it apparently "sold out in nine weeks." Now, it can be yours for just £59 when you buy it here. The supermarket's summer garden staple is said to "bring a slice of the Riviera into any garden" thanks to its trendy striped canopy and intricate tassel edging that offers a "boho touch" to the design. It's not just a stylish addition to your garden, as the FSC-certified wood pole has a lean function that allows you to tilt the canopy whenever you feel the position sun shift. Meanwhile, the polycotton canopy is said to be "weatherproof", making it suitable for unpredictable UK summers. Since the Riviera Stripe Parasol sold out within just over two months last year, it's expected that it will be popular once again this year. It's also no surprise to hear that it has managed to amass glowing five-star reviews on the George at Asda website. One delighted customer wrote: "I'm blown away by how amazing this product is. I've been wanting to get a patterned parasol with a boho touch for a while, but unwilling to spend the £150+ that they normally are. I thought I'd give this one a go, but didn't expect much for the price. "It is exactly what I wanted. Furthermore it also tips and has a lovely case. It is stylish, good, waterproof fabric and looks like something you would get from a much fancier, 'bespoke' store. I could not recommend it more." The Riviera Stripe Parasol can be bought online at George at Asda for £59 here. Nonetheless, for those seeking a low-cost yet stylish and luxurious-looking addition to their homes, Dunelm's Cosy Shaggy Rug could be an excellent choice without breaking the bank. ‌ When it comes to home interiors, Dunelm has plenty to offer. Shoppers recently went wild for a hanging wall art that is still available for £35 and depicts an elegant wire depiction of flying birds in a sleek black matte finish. Earning an overall 4.8 star rating out of five thanks to shopping reviews, one buyer lamented: "Very effective wall art. Looks great on wall outside."
