Celebs Go Dating's Anna Williamson praises 'brave' Christine McGuinness amid update
Celebs Go Dating's Anna Williamson spoke to the Mirror about Christine McGuinness' involvement with the new series of the E4 show, which is set to launch later this year Anna Williamson has paid tribute to Christine McGuinness following her departure from the new series of Celebs Go Dating. She's also given an insight into how much the reality TV star will feature after quitting during its production. Christine, 37, was announced as part of the line-up for the E4 show's upcoming return in April. The cast were then understood to have jetted off to Ibiza for a trip but, days into filming, it was revealed that she had quit the show. The reality TV star, who was previously married to Paddy McGuinness, said that it was "too soon" for her to be dating in the public eye. It was later confirmed that Christine had returned for the finale of the series, which is yet to launch. Dating coach Anna, 43, has now praised former co-star Christine over her decision to leave. Speaking to the Mirror about having reunited at the finale, Anna said: "Christine is so wonderful. I've really enjoyed getting to know her. "I do believe that she is very much still part of our ... the early few episodes of this series, which is lovely. Viewers will be really keen to hear some of Christine's story which she very much shares with us in the first two episodes." Anna continued by saying that Christine then made the "brave" decision to step back from the show. She told us recently: "[Christine] made the very brave decision that perhaps, actually, now wasn't the right time for her." Further sharing her thoughts ahead of the launch, Anna said in our interview: "But yeah, she's a great lady and the door is very much open for her to return. And I believe she would like to if the circumstances are right in the future." Christine was in the line-up for the new series, which was described by Anna as "such a fun series," alongside Kerry Katona, Olivia Hawkins, Louis Russell and Jon Lee. Mark Labbett, Donna Preston and Sam Prince will feature too. Announcing her departure, Christine said in her statement that was released back in May: "I joined Celebs Go Dating with great intentions but have realised that dating on a public platform and the attention that brings is just too soon for me. They've said the door is always open for me which I'm so grateful but for now I'm returning home to my family." A spokesperson for Celebs Go Dating said at the time that the door is "always open" for her. They said: "We have loved having Christine on the show and completely respect her feelings and decision to return home and have told her that the door is always open for her in the future at the agency." Anna's comments come after she spoke to the Mirror about her approach to parenting recently. She opened up about her life whilst discussing the Great British Phone Swap. The Channel 4 show, in partnership with Tesco Mobile, saw parents temporarily swap phone habits with their children. The experiment, fronted by Anna and clinical psychologist Dr Martha Deiros Collado, explored topics such as online safety. Participants left the experience with goals for their family, such as scheduled time off their devices at home. Asked her takeaways from hosting the five-part project, she told us earlier this month: "I think the main thing is boundaries and having very healthy, open communication. Boundaries being time when you are not on your phone and I think we found that was really beneficial for all families." Anna said she doesn't support banning technology from kids though, sharing: "You need to teach your children how to navigate it." She also said: "I think as we portray in the Great British Phone Switch phones aren't a bad thing. Tech isn't a bad thing. But it's about consuming the right things on it and that's the important thing here." All five episodes of the Great British Phone Swap are available through Channel 4. Celebs Go Dating is set to return for its new series on E4 later this year.

Will Poulter's model ex claims he dumped her over WhatsApp 'without warning'
Hollywood actor Will Poulter was in a relationship with model Bobby T for three years, but she claims he 'ghosted' her and her son over WhatsApp and left without warning Will Poulter's ex-girlfriend has accused him of 'ghosting' her and her son after she claims he dumped her 'without warning' over WhatsApp. The 32-year-old was in a three-year relationship with model Bobby T, who at 45 is 13 years older than him. The actor, who shot to fame in E4 sketch show School of Comedy, is thought to have moved on with Top Boy actress Saffron Hocking, 31, after the pair were spotted having lunch and spending time together at Glastonbury Festival and Wimbledon. But his ex - who says the pair were discussing marriage and had built a life together before Will disappeared 'like he never existed' - has taken to social media to publicly blast his actions, especially as he was a stepdad to her young son. Taking to Instagram, Bobby - whose real name is Erin Campaneris - wrote in her stories: "Just so there's no confusion, I was in a real relationship for almost three years. We built a life together. We planned the details of our wedding. He wasn't just in my life. He was in my son's." She continued: "He called him his stepson and they had a real relationship. Because of his age my son only remembers a life when he was there. That was his normal. "He was there for first days of school and volunteered his his classroom. He came to school meetings and showed up in every way. The school knew him as family. "Then one day with no warning and no signs of trouble he just ended it over WhatsApp. That was it. Just gone." Describing how she was 'in love', Bobby said: "We were blindsided. But what hurts most is how easily he disappeared, especially from my son's perspective. Like he never existed. 'I have waited months in hope that I would have more clarity, but I wasn't given that by him or his family, who we considered family too." She went on to say she "didn't even get their belongings back" after the split, believed to have happened earlier this year. Detailing how she had faced cruelty and judgment from other women in the wake of the break up, Bobby said: "I am not scorned. I just want the truth to be known so I can move forward with my life in peace. Please let this be all and I will not be sharing any more." Will and Bobby were first linked in 2022 when they were seen kissing on the streets of West Hollywood. She lives in America with her son, while Will is thought to split his time between America and the UK. Speaking of Will and Bobby's romance, a source said the pair realised their connection "wasn't going to last long term". It's said Bobby's main priority remains her son. Will - who has also starred in Hollywood films The Chronicles of Narnia, We Are The Millers, Maze Runner and The Revenant - is said to have struggled with balancing the distance and work. The source continued to tell The Sun: "He's known Saffron for a while but they have been spending more time together recently. They were both hosted by Barbour at Glasto and got on like a house on fire. It's very early days and while they might be telling people they are just friends, the sparks between them are obvious to everyone." The Mirror has reached out to Will's reps for comment on this story.

Hollyoaks confirms major Joel twist that turns everything on its head
Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Wednesday's (July 16) episode that is now available to view on Channel 4 streaming. The episode in question will air on E4 on at 7pm. There's nothing like a great big twist right before a soap wedding to throw everything on its head – and that's exactly what Hollyoaks served up during its last episode of the week. With groom-to-be / serial killer Jez Blake (Jeremy Sheffield) all set to wed John Paul McQueen (James Sutton), he confided in Robbie Roscoe (Charlie Wernham) about how happy he is in life right now. In fact, he reckons he's never been happier. Robbie, who is being held captive by the murderer at the allotment, listened intently as Jez explained the catalyst in what led to such overwhelming joy. 'None of this would have happened,' he said. 'I wouldn't be in the happiest place I've ever been in my life if I hadn't killed Tommy and blamed Joel for it'. Talk about a twist . To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video The Tommy that Jez is referring to is, of course, Tommy Odenkirk (Brandon Fellows), the fake therapist who recorded his murderous confessions and used them to blackmail him. Tommy was murdered earlier this year, with Joel Dexter (Rory Douglas-Speed) – who was led by Tommy to believe that he'd killed someone – convinced that he was to blame. Joel confessed to the police and was subsequently jailed. But it turns out that Joel is actually innocent – it was Jez who committed the crime, framing Joel for it. Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin), meanwhile, made it quite clear that she doesn't want Joel in her unborn baby's life due to the fact he's killed someone. If only she knew! More Trending And on the subject of shock twists, that wasn't the only one in store for fans during the episode in question, with Bobby Costello (Zak Sutcliffe) learning from Martha (Sherrie Hewson) that Jez was the one who murdered his social worker. With Jez believing that all his loose ends have been tied up ahead of tying the knot, the question is: will the truth of his heinous crimes come spilling out via Bobby? And will Joel get justice? Hoist the popcorn and batten down the sofa, Below Deck hits Channel 4 with ocean-deep drama – here are 5 top moments
IT'S THE reality series that's got us all wondering – should we just ditch the day job and set sail on a luxury charter yacht? Below Deck takes us behind the scenes of the glamorous yet chaotic world of yacht charters, where outrageous guests with extravagant demands meet an even more unpredictable crew. 3 Below Deck rules the TV waves with boozy guests, crew tantrums and love triangles From the sparkling waters of the Caribbean to the stunning landscapes of Australia, this franchise (including Below Deck, Below Deck Mediterranean and Below Deck Down Under and Below Deck Sailing Yacht) truly sails across the globe in style. Over the years, this series has delivered countless jaw-dropping dramas and unforgettable moments. To celebrate the new season of Below Deck streaming on E4, we're taking a look back at some all-time favourite moments from the Below Deck family. 1. Drunk dive disaster If there's one thing Below Deck has taught us over the years, it's that you don't mess with the legendary captain Lee. So when notorious charter guest Delores Flora decided to ignore his orders and take a drunken dive into the sea during Season 8, Episode 11, it's safe to say things didn't go smoothly. Concerned for her safety, the enraged captain demanded she return to the yacht immediately. By morning, with a sore head and no sympathy, Delores' antics led to the charter being cut short as she was swiftly sent packing back to shore. 2. Taco-gate Trained chef or convenience connoisseur? Enter chef Mila Kolomeitseva, who found herself in water hotter than the Med during Season 4 of Below Deck Mediterranean. Mila shocked everyone when she served tacos made from a boxed Old El Paso kit to her high-paying charter guests. From soggy nachos to undercooked steaks, it didn't take long for the crew to realise Mila wasn't exactly Michelin material. Things hit rock bottom when captain Sandy Yawn confronted her about her sloppy standards and Mila bizarrely responded by licking a raw steak. Needless to say, she was swiftly fired, paving the way for the return of fan favourite chef Ben Robinson. 3 Captain Sandy forked out punishment to chef Mila after bizarre steak licking stunt 3. Cake kick-off After tirelessly crafting a stunning birthday cake for a friend of primary guest Charley Walters, chef Kevin Dobson was expecting some appreciation. But during the final group dinner in Season 7, Episode 17, chief steward Kate Chastain left Kevin out of her thank-you toast and he was fuming. Feeling completely disrespected, Kevin snapped and dramatically kicked the cake across the deck before storming off in a huff, leaving the crew stunned. As for the guests? Totally unbothered – they even tucked into the smashed cake without a second thought and the altercation didn't affect their tip. 4. Love triangle ahoy What do you get when you mix a yacht full of young, attractive crew? A juicy love triangle, of course! Enter Malia White on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 2, the green deckhand with a secret fling – chef Adam Glick. But she quickly fell for bosun Wes Walton. Cue drama! As the season unfolded, the triangle fuelled a season of jealousy, squabbling and petty sabotage. In the finale (spoiler alert!), Malia chose the ever-calm Wes, and the pair even holidayed together after the season wrapped, proving it was worth the aggro. 5. Foam party fiasco The aim of the game in the yachting world is to please the guests to get a bigger tip at the end of the charter – but sometimes guest demands are a little crazy. For example, on Below Deck Mediterranean, a guest demanded a foam party, which led to a slippery deck and an injured crew member. Meanwhile on Below Deck Down Under, Season 1, one guest demanded a 24/7 buffet despite it being a meals only table service. The crew improvised to create a snack station, but the guests were horrified it wasn't up to Las Vegas standards. 3 Discover more drunken guests, galley meltdowns and captain one-liners from the Below Deck universe, available to stream free on Channel 4 – and right now. Climb aboard!
