Audi Announces Price Hike; A4, Q3, Q7 And More To Get Expensive
Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, today announced a price increase of up to 2% across its model range. Mr. Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, said, "We are implementing a price adjustment of up to 2% due to increase in the exchange rate and input cost. This correction is essential for Audi India and our dealer partners to ensure sustainable growth. We remain committed to minimising the impact of the price hike on our valued customers." Talking of the company's current portfolio, it includes - Audi A4, Audi A6, Audi Q3, Audi Q3 Sportback, Audi Q5, Audi Q7, Audi Q8, Audi S5 Sportback, Audi RS Q8, Audi Q8 e-tron, Audi Q8 Sportback e-tron, Audi e-tron GT, and Audi RS e-tron GT. While complete technical details are still pending, the model will be available in four unique variants and will offer both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive options. Depending on the variant chosen, power outputs will range from 300 hp to 787 hp in the high-performance version. The variant with a 100 kW battery pack will offer a range of up to 770 km on a single charge.

These models will make their debuts in 2026 and 2027. In terms of design, the Audi E5 Sportback shares lots of similarities with the E Concept. This can be seen in the form of the flat front fascia with a rectangular shape. Following a minimalistic pattern, it has a slim headlamp design and a few contours on the bonnet. The black loop, present on the front fascia along with the headlamp, sensors, air curtains, and radar at the front and rear end. Another major attention-grabbing element is the 'AUDI' logo replacing the four rings. AUDI E5 is a Chinese-Only EV With Almost 500 Miles of Range

The E5 Sportback is an elongated fastback crossover of sorts, with slim lights front and back and largely angular body features. The underpinning "Advanced Digitised Platform" was developed by Audi Germany and SAIC, and will give the E5 ample flexibility, allowing for different power outputs. The AUDI E5 will be offered in four variants, with outputs of 295 hp, 402 hp, 570 hp, and 776 hp in either rear-wheel drive or quattro all-wheel drive. The range-topping trim can reportedly accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds. Regardless of power output, the E5 gets a 100 kWh battery with an 800V architecture that can add 230 miles in 10 minutes.
