A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after police discovered the body of a woman after they were called to reports of a car crashing into a restaurant. At around 3.30pm on June 13, Northamptonshire Police received a report of a man crashing a blue Skoda Superb car at McDonald's in Folley Way. Roads Policing officers attended and enquiries led to the discovery of the body of a woman in her 30s at an address in Donnington Road in Burton Latimer. A post-mortem carried out at Leicester Royal Infirmary gave the preliminary cause of death as applied pressure to the victim's neck. Formal identification is yet to take place, specially trained officers are supporting the woman's next of kin as the investigation progresses. Officers from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) have launched a murder investigation and are appealing for anyone with relevant information to get in touch. A 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident. Neighbourhood Policing Teams are carrying out additional patrols in Burton Latimer to provide community support and reassurance, and anyone with concerns is encouraged to speak to them. Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Torie Harrison, of EMSOU, said: 'Following the tragic discovery of a woman's body in Burton Latimer yesterday afternoon, our thoughts and condolences are with everyone who knew and loved her. 'We have established a comprehensive and fast-moving investigation into the circumstances of her death, with one arrest made. At present we believe this to be an isolated incident with no risk to the wider community. 'I know news of this death will cause immense concern and distress to people in the local area, and we will be maintaining an enhanced presence over the coming days to provide reassurance and support as enquiries continue.' A murder probe has been launched after a woman was found dead in a home in Northamptonshire. She was discovered inside a home on Donnington Road, Burton Latimer, after a car crash at a McDonald's restaurant some minutes away led them to the property. Police officers were alerted to the fast-food restaurant on Folley Way at about 3.30pm on Friday after a smash. A 35-year-old man had crashed his blue Skoda Superb car into the restaurant wall. When he was questioned, police officers learned about the woman at the property, which is located less than five minutes from the McDonald's. She died as a result of pressure on her neck, a preliminary forensic post-mortem has revealed, the police said. Detectives have now arrested the 35-year-old man on suspicion of murder, and he remains in police custody. Neither the victim nor the male suspect are previously known to the police. Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Torie Harrison, of EMSOU, said: 'While we're not yet able to formally name the victim, our family liaison officers are supporting her family and keeping them up to date on our progress is our priority. 'This is a fast-moving investigation dedicated to finding the answers they need, and I'd like to offer reassurance that we continue to treat this as an isolated incident with no risk to the wider public. Det Sgt Sewell added that, after Karavaqiri fled the UK, police were able to secure his return with the co-operation of the Spanish pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply a Class B drug and was sentenced on 17 April at Northampton Crown Court to three years and four months in prison.A forfeiture order was made for his Audi A4 other men convicted of offences relating to the conspiracy, including the ringleader, Fjoraldo Lazaj, 26, were jailed for a total of more than 15 years at the same court last Sgt Sewell said: "I hope this sentence and the wider case demonstrates our determination to bring those responsible for the sale and supply of illegal drugs to account."
