Known for her fitness, discipline, creativity, and philanthropic work, Yamuna continues to inspire generations—not just with her performances on stage and screen, but also through her grounded lifestyle and deep connection to Indian culture and values. "Absolutely nothing will change" When asked if she plans to change anything as she enters this new chapter, Yamuna is quick to respond: 'Absolutely nothing, I will continue to be the same—independent, practicing gratitude, being disciplined, hardworking, setting new goals and working towards them.' She adds with a laugh, 'If anything I need to discipline, it's my eating habits. I love sweets, chocolates, and ice cream, you'll often find me binging on them. That's the only thing that needs to be disciplined!' On Strengths, Weaknesses, and Kindness Yamuna doesn't shy away from speaking about her vulnerabilities either. 'Being kind is both my strength and my weakness,' she reflects. 'I regret being kind to ungrateful people, but at the same time, my kindness has touched many lives and brought me immense joy. I don't want to change myself because of some bitter experiences. I was created to be kind and loving, and for that, I will always be grateful.' Taking Indian Classical Dance Global From being a dance teacher at 16 to becoming an actress at 38, Yamuna is no stranger to reinvention. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Her next goal is as ambitious as it is heartfelt. What is the future of Indian classical dance?' Yamuna is now focused on taking Indian classical dance to greater heights globally, particularly in Western countries. 'I feel fortunate to have very dedicated students who are actively involved in preserving and promoting Indian classical dance even after their Rangapravesha , which is rare in America. My next big step is to do the best I can with my most talented and dedicated students.' The Secret to Her Radiance At 50, Yamuna's natural beauty and health are often the subject of admiration. 'I am glad that I listened to my mother and grandmother and followed their home remedies. I can credit them for not having grey hair till now. I'm proud to say that I have never been to any beauty parlour till now,' she reveals. Her Message to Women Entering Their 50s Yamuna believes in aging gracefully and embracing life's transitions. 'Every stage of life is beautiful in its own way, and we should enjoy it instead of denying it,' she says. 'At this age, you experience children leaving home, elders passing on, and unless we are involved in our own interests or careers, we often feel empty. That's why it's important to stay connected—with ourselves, and with the world.' She adds, 'Get more empathetic towards the underprivileged—this world needs more people to help one another. This age is the best to do that, as our motherly responsibilities have reduced.' No Lavish Celebrations—Only Service So, how is she celebrating the big 5-0? In her trademark style, with purpose. 'My birthdays have never been a big deal to me. I believe in the value that age brings rather than celebrating it lavishly,' Yamuna smiles. She concludes with a heartfelt note: 'My heartfelt thanks to everyone who has been a significant part of my life!' On the Work Front Yamuna was recently lauded for her performance in Agnyathavasi . Badi Haveli Ki Chhoti Thakurain's Sheel Verma Love For Mumbai Rains Is All Of Us

Last Updated: As the city of dreams recently witnessed a spell of rainfall, actor Sheel Verma revealed what he loves about Mumbai rains. The arrival of rain adds a unique appeal to Mumbai. It turns the city into a lush, vibrant landscape, with the refreshing rains wiping away the heat and dust and revealing a different aspect of its beauty. As the city of dreams recently witnessed a spell of rainfall, the cool breeze and the scent of wet earth brought instant relief to many residents, including actor Sheel Verma, known for playing Jaiveer in the show Badi Haveli Ki Chhoti Thakurain. Expressing his love for this season, Sheel said, 'I enjoy rains and the earthy fragrance that comes after the first rainfall; it's something I always look forward to. Yesterday, on my way home from a shoot, it began to rain, so I took a longer route with my favourite music playing in the car," as quoted by Filmibeat. He added, 'In the morning, the sun was back, so I had no expectations. But, surprisingly, it started raining again – and it's times like this when I happily ignore my diet. I got myself a nice cup of tea and ordered some samosas – the ideal way to enjoy the beautiful weather. As they say in the film Wake Up Sid, 'Mumbai rains are absolutely to die for' – and I couldn't agree more." On the work front, Sheel is currently winning hearts with his performance as Jaiveer. In the television series, his character often gets duped by Chamkili (played by Ishita Ganguly), while his wife Chaina (played by Diksha Dhami) acts as his keeper, shielding him and his family from danger. Previously, speaking about being a part of the show, Sheel said, 'This is my first time playing the lead in a television show. So far, I'm really liking it. I've worked in films before, but having a major role on television is unique and fascinating." 'Jaiveer, the character I play in the show, is someone with whom I have a personal connection, and I am thoroughly enjoying portraying him. Jaiveer is a vibrant, cheery person, yet his rough background has left him short-tempered. This contrast makes the character accessible to me," he added, as quoted by ETimesTV. The show airs from Monday to Saturday at 9 pm on Shemaroo Umang. First Published:

Gulki Joshi On Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 Cancellation: ‘I Really Hope It Doesn't Get Scrapped'

Gulki Joshi revealed that the makers of Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 had reached out to her just once to gauge her interest in participating. Khatron Ke Khiladi, the adventure-based reality show hosted by Rohit Shetty, will reportedly not be returning for a new season. Speculation about the show's cancellation began circulating online after production house Banijay Asia reportedly decided to step away from the project. Amid these developments, actress Gulki Joshi, best known for her role in the comedy-drama Maddam Sir, voiced her concern during an interview, expressing disappointment over the reports. Speaking to ETimesTV, Gulki Joshi revealed that the makers of Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 had reached out to her just once to gauge her interest in participating. She said, 'I was really interested, and they only contacted once, just to ask me whether I was interested or not. After that, there was no more interaction, but I had only been seeing the news, so I was unsure whether it was true or a rumour, and whether I was doing the show or not. As I just had one conversation with them, there has been no update." Furthermore, Gulki Joshi also explained why she chose to remain silent amid reports of her participation in Khatron Ke Khiladi 15. She said, 'Maybe that is why they haven't responded to me—because of all these uncertainties. I really hope it doesn't get scrapped, and I'm extremely excited to participate in it. I had been eagerly waiting for it, which is why I didn't confirm or react to the news earlier." Speaking about Khatron Ke Khiladi 15, News18 has recently learned that the show might not take place, with advanced discussions underway regarding its cancellation. A source close to the show revealed that several factors are contributing to this decision. The channel, Colors TV, reportedly wanted to shift the show's traditional May slot to later in the year, but the production house was not in favour of this change. Additionally, securing suitable dates from host Rohit Shetty, whose schedule is packed, has proven difficult. As a result, the upcoming season is likely to be scrapped. Apart from Gulki, other contestants who were rumoured to be participating in KKK 15 include Erica Fernandes, Surbhi Jyoti, Digivijay Singh, Mallika Sherawat, Elvish Yadav, Baseer Ali, Chum Darang, Siddharth Nigam and others.
