Eamonn Holmes' girlfriend Katie shares loved-up snaps of couple amid his divorce battle from Ruth Langsford

EAMONN Holmes' new girlfriend has shared a series of light-hearted snaps showing the pair fooling around in a park amid a difficult time in his personal life. Marriage counsellor Katie Alexander, 43, captured herself set to plant a kiss on the broadcaster's cheek before he stuck his tongue out in the happy snaps posted to her Instagram page. 6 6 6 Katie could be seen wearing a blue and white Breton striped top and sunglasses, keeping her blonde hair in a straight style. Eamonn, 65, who is in the midst of a divorce from ex Ruth Langsford, also 65, and a battle over their £3.6million home, stayed snug in a blue zip jumper. In her caption, Katie wrote: "Who doesn't love the smell of the Woods, the birds singing and the hugging of trees?!!" One of her followers wrote: "Aw great pics. You all look happy xx" Earlier this month, Katie broke her silence on speculation the pair were engaged. They have been dating since mid 2024. After recently flashing her pearly white smile, The Sun was first to report how Eamonn is "smitten" with his new partner. A source told us: "She looks immaculate on his arm and he's a very proud man." DIVORCE BATTLE The GB News anchor's newfound happiness comes after his ex Ruth brought in lawyers to make sure he would never get her share of their £3.5million home. The divorcing Loose Women star has been granted a severance of joint tenancy of the six-bed pile they bought in 2014. The move, revealed in public documents, means that if Ruth were to die her share of the house in Weybridge, Surrey, would not go to her former spouse. The couple, both 65, met in 1997. They had son Jack in 2002 and wed in 2010, moving into the home on a private estate four years later. Ruth and Eamonn's relationship timeline Before the shock split announcement, Ruth and Eamonn seemed like one of the strongest couples on UK TV – even with their signature bickering style. Here's how their romance played out... 1997 - The couple first meet after being introduced by mutual friends, two years after Eamonn splits from his first wife, Gabrielle, with whom he has three children. 1997-2002 - To be respectful to Gabrielle, the couple kept their relationship out of the limelight. Ruth told Daily Mail: "I thought it spoke volumes about the sort of man he was, the sort of father he was and the integrity he had. It made me love him more, not less." 2002 - Ruth and Eamonn welcome their son, Jack, to the family. 2005 - Eamonn finalises his divorce with Gabrielle. 2006 - The pair begin to host Friday episodes of This Morning together. 2010 - Eamonn proposes to Ruth while at the Cheltenham Races, after asking Ruth's mother for her hand. June 2010 - Eamonn and Ruth marry at Elvetham Hall, Hampshire. 2016 - Eamonn undergoes a double hip replacement in the first of many health battles. June 2019 - On This Morning, Ruth and Eamonn say the secret to their happy marriage. Eamonn credits "compromise, consideration and lots of conjugal," while Ruth said it was "laughter and an equal marriage". November 2020 - Ruth and Eamonn are replaced on their regular Friday slot by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary in a 'show shake-up'. December 202 1 - After a year of being moved to the bank holiday presenting slot, both Eamonn and Ruth left This Morning. January 2022 - Eamonn debuted on GB News, while Ruth stayed with ITV in her long-standing role on Loose Women. September 2022 - Eamonn undergoes spinal surgery after years of back issues including a trapped sciatic nerve. November 2022 - Eamonn falls down the stairs of his Surrey home with Ruth and breaks his shoulder, requiring a new operation. September 2023 - Eamonn has a spine and neck stretching procedure as part of his year-long recovery. May 2024 - Ruth and Eamonn announce they have split after 14 years of marriage and a 27-year relationship. September 2024 - Eamonn was spotted on a luxury holiday in Barcelona with his new girlfriend Katie Alexander. Ruth calls in a 'fierce' divorce lawyer. Yet last year we revealed they were to divorce, with Eamonn promptly moving out of the family pad. HEALTH WOE Earlier this week, Eamonn posted a heartbreaking update on his health to social media. He vowed to "redouble my efforts" to walk again after being confined to a wheelchair. In his bittersweet caption alongside a snap showing him looking svelte from 2022 he wrote: Great picture popped up from 3 years but it's made me sad - I could walk." The GB News anchor added: "Got to redouble my efforts." Eamonn had a double hip replacement in 2016 yet has been suffering from chronic pain since a follow-up spinal operation in September 2022. Added to this, in early 2021, Eamonn was rushed to hospital after suffering from "pain he's never felt in his life." In addition to his other health woes, Eamonn suffered a fall at his Surrey home - which he previously shared with ex Ruth - which left him with a fractured shoulder in 2023. 6 6 6

Eamonn Holmes puts on loved-up display with girlfriend Katie Alexander days after estranged wife Ruth Langsford 'called in the lawyers to secure their £3.6m family home'

Eamonn Holmes and his new girlfriend looked smitten as they enjoyed a day out together days after a fresh update in the presenter's divorce saga. The GB news broadcaster, 65, and marriage guidance counsellor Katie Alexander, 43, began dating in mid-2024. Despite engagement rumours swirling since December of the same year, the couple only went Instagram official last week after months of low-key holidays and dates. But it seems they're now more than comfortable making their romance public, with the mother-of-two sharing a series of loved-up snaps of her and Eamonn enjoying a day in the woods. With the presenter perched in his wheelchair, the couple posed for a few rare selfies together which Katie shared on Instagram on Friday. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loo Katie and Eamonn, both sporting sunglasses, looked every bit the happy couple in the snaps as the 43-year-old pecked her new boyfriend on the cheek Katie and Eamonn, both sporting sunglasses, looked every bit the happy couple in the snaps as the 43-year-old pecked her boyfriend on the cheek. With his partner gazing lovingly at him, Eamonn seemed as happy as ever in another picture as he smiled for thre camera. The smitten display comes just a matter of days after Eamonn's estranged wife Ruth Langsford, 65, called in the lawyers to ensure he will not receive a share of their £3.6 million marital home. The former This Morning presenters left fans stunned last May when news of their split was first reported. With their divorce in the works, Eamonn moved out of their plush six-bedroom home in Weybridge, Surrey, which they had lived in since 2014, last summer. And The Sun revealed earlier this week that Ruth has been granted a severance of joint tenancy on the property. The publication said that public documents state that if Ruth were to pass away, her share of the house would not go to GB News host Eamonn. Sarah Dwight, of the Law Society, told the outlet: 'One of the first things divorce lawyers do is to give their clients the option to sever the joint tenancy, so they can leave their share of the house to whoever they want. 'This move protects Ruth in that if she were to die, she can leave her wealth to whoever she wants, rather than Eamonn getting everything.' MailOnline has contacted representatives for Ruth and Eamonn for comment. After leaving his marital home, Eamonn has since moved into a plush penthouse in Kingston, south-west London, where he lives alone. With the presenter reportedly 'lonely' at his new abode, it was thought that Katie may move down to join Eamonn from her native Yorkshire. However a source close to Ms Alexander told The Mail on Sunday: ''There's no way she will move in with Eamonn in the near future, or for many years. 'She has her children to consider. Truth be told, they are a little unsettled at her relationship being played out in the media and she doesn't want to uproot them. 'They have met Eamonn on several occasions and get on great with him, so things will stay as they are for the time being. 'Eamonn seems so lonely since splitting with Ruth, so it's not exactly ideal for him.' The Irishman's divorce woes have been compounded with his ongoing health issues. Eamonn has been left needing a wheelchair or a walking stick to get around after undergoing surgery on his back in 2022. He sparked concern only last week when he fell off his chair live on air while presenting GB News. Co-host Ellie Costello cried 'oh my gosh' after Eamonn's tumble, before the prideful presenter could be heard saying: 'I'm fine, fine, fine, carry on, carry on, carry on.' The show then cut to an extended adverts break, before Eamonn returned to screens telling viewers: 'They're very wonky wheels on chairs we've got here, as a matter of fact we don't really like the chairs here. 'It was a shock for me because I had a fall two weeks ago in my bathroom that hospitalised me and that hit me right in the back.' 'And that hit me again right in the back. Really really sore, really sore.' Following the two scares, Eamonn shared a heart-breaking update on his health a couple of days ago. Taking to social media to post on old photo of himself broadcasting, he wrote: 'Great picture popped up from 3 years but it's made me sad - I could walk. Got to redouble my efforts.'

More info Eamonn Holmes has reached out to his fans for support after he gave an upsetting update about his well-being on social media. The 65-year-old ex-This Morning host, recently hospitalised after an incident while presenting the GB News Breakfast programme alongside Ellie Costello, asked his followers to 'think of him'. The mishap occurred when Eamonn tumbled off his chair during a live segment, while the camera was trained on their interviewee, political pundit Charlie Rowley. Off-camera, Ellie could be heard exclaiming "oh my gosh", and Eamonn urged Charlie to "carry on" before returning on-air after a commercial break. Following spinal surgery last year to address severe back pain from three herniated discs, the renowned presenter has been dedicated to his recovery. His mobility compromised over the past twelve months, he has had to rely on walking aids and occasionally a wheelchair. Just one week on from the chair incident at GB News, the esteemed journalist took to Instagram reminiscing about his fitter days. He shared an image sporting a sharp look with a white shirt, black trousers, co-ordinated tie, and a sleek black coat, posed as if he was about to present a news piece. In his post, Eamonn reflected: "This pic tells me this was 3 years ago in my Home City of Belfast. I was making a big extravaganza featuring The Ulster Orchestra and Film and TV music associated with famous producers," reports the Mirror. "It actually made me very sad looking at it because I could walk then and can't now . I pray to God and the new Docs that I am seeing that all will change and change soon . Keep you posted and please think of me." Supporters and friends were quick to share their well wishes, with one user commenting: "Hang in there. Am sure it's incredibly hard and dispiriting; but here's hoping that better days are to come." Another added: "This was my very first TV gig and it was such a special privilege to work with you Eamonn, you gave me amazing support and solid advice at working in the industry. Wishing you all the very best in your healing and thank you for being an inspiration. "I hope they can help you Eamonn. I'm recovering from spinal surgery. It's a long haul to recover but worth it. Sending positive thoughts for a good outcome for you," another said. After he fell off his chair on live television, he made light of the 'wonky wheels' at the studio. Following a commercial break, Eamonn quipped: "Welcome back. Good to see you again. Especially good for me to see you again. I am still alive, yes. "And they're very wonky wheels on chairs that we've got here, and matter of fact, we don't really like the chairs full stop, do we? They're a bit slippy and slidey and I've slipped and slid off mine there. "Not the first guest to have done so, we've had a few, they have to remain nameless because they're well known people, but they've hit the floor really badly, quite frightening. "And it was a bit of a shock for me because I've had a fall in my bathroom two weeks ago, which hospitalised me, and that hit me again right in the back. (I'm) really, really sore. Really sore."
