'Dancing with the Stars' Reveals Its Second Celebrity Contestant for 2025
Dancing with the Stars, co-hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough, will be returning for its 34th season on ABC this fall. And today unveiled the identity of its second celebrity contestant and it's not the name that has been bandied about on social media. Instead, joining previously named wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin is social media powerhouse Alix Earle. The reveal was made this morning live on Good Morning America. 'I've always been a fan of Dancing With the Stars. I used to watch it when I was so young with my grandma,' Earle told Lara Spencer and Michael Strahan. 'When this opportunity came to me, it was like, 'What can I do next? Where can I take this?' I'm ready to challenge myself. I think it's going to be a lot of fun. It was a very obvious answer to say yes.' 'I would like to say I have some rhythm, maybe, possibly," she said. "But I've never done ballroom dancing or danced with a partner, so that's going to be a whole new venture for me.' Earle is one of the leading social media personalities in the U.S. She is also the creator and host of the widely popular relationship 'Hot Mess' podcast, on which she shares exclusive, in-depth, intimate details of her life. Earle's ability to connect with mass audiences across multiple demographics has resulted in her earning a spot on Forbes' Top Creators and Fashion 50 lists, being featured in Rolling Stone's annual Creators issue as one of the industry's top creators, named Allure's Beauty Creator of 2024 (as chosen by readers), and recognized as one of People Magazine's Digital Creators of the Year. Additionally, she was featured on The Hollywood Reporter's 2024 Podcast Power List. Earle graduated from the University of Miami, where she studied marketing. Just days after she was announced as the second celebrity cast member on Dancing With the Stars season 34 — following "Australian wildlife photographer, actor, zookeeper, television presenter, and conservationist" Robert Irwin — social media sensation Alix Earle took a break from all of the excitement to stop and slay at the 51st Annual American Music Awards. The 2025 American Music Awards took place today (May 26) at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada. Hosted by Jennifer Lopez for the second time — as she also hosted the 2015 ceremony — so many of our favorite celebrities were in attendance. Representing the social media world were individuals like Tara Yummy, Ben Almeida, James Charles and more, but arguably the best dressed was Earle, keeping things as classy as can be. On the 2025 AMAs red carpet — or should we say purple carpet? — Earle wore a slim black gown that flattered her figure from top to bottom, spicing up a seemingly simple dress with a deep scoop neck, as well as a strappy back. Keeping her attire as the star of the show, she paired the dress with a dazzling diamond necklace, and matching earrings, as well as black heels with diamond detailing to match. Completing the look, Earle opted for white almond-shaped nails, natural (yet glam) makeup and loose curls in her beautiful blonde hair. Needless to say, she stole the show, with individuals taking to X to share their thoughts on the look. "Iconic," one fan wrote — complete with several spicy emojis — while another fan added, "Alix looks beautiful." A third gushed, "Alix Earle looks beautiful! I'm happy she's at the AMAs!" Rocking her same red carpet look, later on in the evening, Earle joined YouTuber and Twitch streamer Kai Cenat onstage to announce the award for Favorite Female R&B Artist. Gaming group seeks to help military members as Memorial Day approaches
A thriving gaming group created by veterans aims to support active military members transition back to civilian life. The group is called Regiment Gaming, and its CEO, Chris Earle, is a Marine Corps veteran. He created Regiment Gaming five years ago to form a community to help active and retired military members struggle with difficulties and readjust to everyday life. Earle's goal is to remind veterans that they are never alone and there is a community for them to be a part of. 'They don't know how to seek help, right? They feel ashamed to reach out for help, you know, they feel like if they admit that they need help, it makes them weak. That's not the case,' Earle said. 'Dancing With the Stars' 2025: Influencer Alix Earle announced as Season 34 cast member, joining Robert Irwin
Another season of Dancing With the Stars is on the way, and ABC has announced its second celebrity that will take to the dance floor: social media influencer Alix Earle. 'Oh my gosh, so surreal. I've always been a fan of Dancing With the Stars, I used to watch it when I was so young with my grandma,' she said during her reveal on Thursday's episode of Good Morning America. 'She would always say to me, 'Maybe one day you could be on there.'" Earle, 24, will be joining Robert Irwin, 21, who joined the cast in April. Dancing With the Stars wrapped another successful season on ABC this past fall, ranking as the top show among adults ages 18 to 49 in Live+Same Day viewing, Deadline reported. Season 33 broke several records and crowned The Bachelor alum Joey Graziadei and professional Jenna Johnson as the winners. ABC hasn't announced when the newest season of Dancing With the Stars will premiere, but it's expected to start sometime in mid- to late September. Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro will return as hosts, while Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough will return as judges. The show will air live on ABC and Disney+ and be available for streaming the next day on Hulu. Here's who has been cast for the upcoming season. Earle is one of the biggest social media personalities in the U.S., with over 7.5 million TikTok followers and 4.3 million followers on Instagram. She hosts a podcast called "Hot Mess" and recently posed for the Sports Illustrated 2025 Swimsuit issue, after becoming the company's first digital cover model in 2024. Irwin is a wildlife conservationist like his late father and lives in Australia. He, along with his mom and sister, works with wildlife at the Australia Zoo. He will be following in the footsteps of his sister, Bindi, who won the mirror ball trophy in 2015 with her dancing partner, Derek Hough. Their father was famed Australian conservationist Steve Irwin, known as the 'Crocodile Hunter,' who was killed by a stingray at 44 years old in 2006. 'All I can say is, crikey! Holy moly,' Irwin said at Hulu's Get Real event on April 22. In true Irwin fashion, he had a snake around his neck. "I cannot tell you what a privilege, what an honor it is to be joining this season.' 'This has been a dream of mine since I was a little kid watching my sister's incredible journey on the show,' Irwin posted on Instagram. 'I cannot believe it is about to become a reality. So grateful.'
