KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Knoxville Police Department posted seeking the public's help identifying a man who they say reportedly assaulted a woman. The woman, 20, was assaulted early on Saturday at an apartment at Union Knoxville on Cumberland Avenue, according to the KPD. She received significant injuries to her face and was taken to East Tennessee Children's Hospital for treatment, police say. Knoxville police seek sexual battery suspect who may be in Gatlinburg area
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Knoxville detectives are searching for a former high school coach facing multiple sexual battery charges who may be in Sevier County. The Knoxville Police Department Special Crimes Unit is searching for 57-year-old Richard Shaver. He was indicted on four counts of sexual battery by an authority figure and two counts of attempted sexual battery by an authority figure. KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information on a fatal shooting in West Knoxville in 2023. Christopher Hill, 51, was shot and killed on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, near 218 E. Depot Avenue. On Thursday, May 22, 2025, ETVCS posted about a $2,000 reward for information. Oak Ridge police officer resigns after domestic violence arrest The morning of the shooting, a gray Toyota 4Runner was stolen from a West Knoxville home, according to the post, which was shared by the Knoxville Police Department. That afternoon, Hill, a plumber, was working at a Boright Drive home. As he worked, the stolen 4Runner circled the area, seemingly watching Hill work, ETVCS said; this was caught on camera. After leaving the home, Hill drove to Knox Rail Salvage, and footage showed the stolen truck following him. 'At 3:22 p.m., as Hill exited his truck, an unknown suspect exited the 4Runner, shot Hill, then fled in the vehicle,' ETVCS wrote. 'The 4Runner was later found abandoned near Austin-East High School.' ETVCS encouraged people with information on the stolen truck or the shooting to contact them. $5,000 reward offered after dog found dead in Knoxville with bag over its head
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A $5,000 reward is being offered for information in the case of two dogs found abandoned in a Knoxville parking lot, one of which was dead with a plastic bag tied over its head. Humane World for Animals, an animal welfare nonprofit organization, has provided the reward for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of whomever may be responsible for the abandonment of two terrier mix-breed puppies. They were found in the parking lot of 809 E. Emerald Avenue on the morning of May 5.
