On Thursday, the actor, 64, appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show to reveal that his son, Eric, had secretly married. The proud dad said Eric had wed long-time friend Martin Lawrence's daughter Jasmin after four years of dating. They had a quiet little thing. 'I think we'll have a big party or something, they ran off and got married.' Jennifer then asked if the comedian would sing at the future party. 'Will I sing at the wedding? No, I ain't singing,' he humored in the awkward back and forth. People quickly noticed the disjointed exchange between the stars and ran to X, formerly known as Twitter, to mock Jennifer. One user posted alongside the video, writing: 'Jennifer is a TERRIBLE HOST!' 'Lmaooo it's actually incredible how bad she is. The man said they went off just the two of them went off and got married. 'She's gonna then ask him, "Did you sing at the wedding." Baby, pay attention, omg.' Many other people commented in agreement. 'Omg, I didn't even notice she didn't have cards. 'That's the difference between a journalist and a celebrity with a talk show,' another said. It comes after Jennifer had another awkward exchange in an interview with singer Kesha. In May, Kesha excitedly shared that she had been an extra in Dreamgirls, the 2006 movie that catapulted Jennifer to stardom and won her an Academy Award. After reacting with what seemed like exaggerated shock, Jennifer neglected to do anything to push the topic forward - not even asking what scene Kesha was in. Fans flocked to X, formerly Twitter, to share their wincing reactions to the moment, calling Jennifer a 'weird' and 'TURRIBLE interviewer' and the show 'unwatchable.' On the show, Kesha said: 'I was an extra on Dreamgirls,' and Jennifer replied with extravagant theatricality: 'What? Really?' 'Serious, Bible,' said Kesha, putting her hand up, before quipping that she was paid about $120, to which Jennifer threw her head back and said: 'I love you.' Kesha valiantly tried to keep the anecdote afloat, saying: 'For 16 hours I sat there with my hair teased to the gods. Oh my God, I - no offense - I hated it.' The TikTok hitmaker still received no help from Jennifer in keeping the conversation moving, so she lamely trailed off: 'Y'all were amazing, we were just - an extra in a scene, it was a big auditorium, downtown LA.'
