Yet another exciting Motorola mid-ranger leaks out in great detail ahead of impending launch

You know what we haven't talked about in a while? A new mid-range Android handset from Motorola. I'm kidding, of course, as the Lenovo-owned brand has made many headlines of late with not only Edge 60, Edge 60 Pro, Edge 60 Stylus, and Edge 60 Fusion announcements, but also rumored preparations for multiple other additions to the Edge and Moto G families. Apart from the recently leaked Motorola Edge (2025), Moto G56, and Moto G86, the company that specializes in well-balanced budget-friendly smartphones with surprisingly premium designs is evidently cooking up a Moto G96 5G model as well. This holds very few secrets after an extremely revealing new Android Headlines report, so without further ado, let's sink our teeth into the expected G96 specs and features. 6.67-inch P-OLED curved display with 10-bit technology, Water Touch 2.0, and 144Hz refresh rate support; Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor; 12GB RAM; 256GB internal storage space; Android 15 ; ; 50MP primary rear-facing camera with Sony LYTIA 700C sensor; 8MP Macro Vision secondary camera; 32MP front-facing camera; 5,500mAh battery; Cattleya Orchid, Dresden Blue, Greener Pastures, and Ashleigh Blue color options. Vegan leather finish. Right off the bat, it's important to point out the obvious here (no matter how obvious it may seem). This is not meant to go up against Samsung's Galaxy S25 Ultra or Google's Pixel 9 Pro XL for the title of best Android phone in the world in 2025, so it's certainly not surprising that a mid-end chipset will run the performance show instead of a high-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or Snapdragon 8 Elite. The Moto G96 looks pretty cool in green... for a low-cost mid-ranger, at least. That being said, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 has already been used on several different Motorola devices (including this year's Edge 60 Stylus and last year's Edge 50 Fusion), so it's definitely a little disappointing that the Moto G96 will apparently not opt for a newer processor like, say, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. Still, that should deliver a more than adequate level of raw power for this bad boy's predicted price point, especially in combination with a respectable 12GB RAM count. The 5,500mAh battery size, silky smooth 144Hz refresh rate-capable screen, and decidedly eye-catching design and colors will undoubtedly seal the deal for a lot of cash-strapped Motorola fans... as long as you're willing to accept that somewhat underwhelming dual rear-facing camera system. Those are obviously questions that can't get definitive answers just yet, but what I can tell you with absolute certainty is that an official US release is out of the question. Instead, the Moto G96 is very likely to hit select European and Asian markets in the coming weeks at a slightly higher price point than last year's Moto G85 5G. That 6.67-inch mid-range Android soldier with Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processing power and a 5,000mAh battery on deck used to cost €379 ($430) on the old continent (before dropping to only €250), and the reason I'm comparing these two seemingly unrelated devices is because Motorola never actually released a G95 model. This blue colorway is quite fetching too. This year's G96, mind you, is expected to coexist with a Moto G86 recently tipped to pack a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, up to 12GB RAM, and get this, up to a 6,720mAh battery. How does that work? Well, there's apparently a G86 variant planned for certain markets with that bonkers cell capacity, and a different one for other regions with a less insane 5,200mAh battery size. Wait, could that mean the Moto G96 will also be released in two distinct editions, including one with a 6,000mAh+ battery? Anything is possible in Motorola's mid-range product portfolio, but let's not get our hopes up just yet.

Motorola Edge 60 review

The Motorola Edge 60 might just be the most balanced phone of the new series with a well-rounded specs sheet and attractive pricing. It offers a standout design, superb display, versatile camera kit, large battery and the most recent Android OS with a ton of AI smarts. Alright, then what's so different from the Edge 60 Pro, you might ask? It's the performance. While the Pro model offers gaming-friendly chip - Dimensity 8350 Extreme, the Edge 60 is powered by the midrange Dimensity 7300. The battery department is different, too, with a bit smaller battery and "slower" 68W charging. But let's start from the beginning. The Motorola Edge 60 is a great-looking smartphone - it comes with a quad-curved screen design, Pantone colors and a choice of different finishes for the back panel. It is IP68/IP69-rated with military-grade durability in extreme environments. It packs a 6.67-inch P-OLED screen with 1,220p resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 1B colors, and HDR10+ support. The Edge 60 is based on the Dimensity 7300 chip with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. And there is a microSD expansion, something we do not see often these days. The Edge 60 has a similar camera setup to the Edge 60 Pro, Edge 50 Pro, and even Edge 50 - a 50MP OIS primary, a 10MP 3x OIS telephoto and a 50MP ultrawide camera with autofocus (up from 13MP on the Edge 50). The front camera is also a 50MP imager. The Motorola Edge 60 has a 5,200mAh battery with 68W TurboCharge support. There is no wireless charging on this model, unlike on the Edge 50 and Edge 60 Pro. The phone boots Android 15 with Hello UI and Moto AI. Misc: Fingerprint reader (under display, optical); stereo speakers (with Dolby Atmos). The Edge 60 upgrades on the Edge 50 with better water protection, now covering the IP69 rating, there are better ultrawide and selfie camera, a larger battery, a microSD slot and faster onboard storage. But, the wireless charging is gone, and the chipset does not seem like an improvement either. Unboxing the Motorola Edge 60 The Motorola Edge 60 ships in a white paper box, a departure from the beige boxes of the previous models. It is a scented one as usual for the series. Inside, you will find a USB-C cable, a SIM ejection pin, and a curved plastic case with a matching color and design. Page 2

Royal Caribbean Cruises (NYSE:RCL) Sees 13% Drop as Trade Tensions Rise

Royal Caribbean Cruises experienced a 13% price decline over the last week, reflecting broader market sentiment amid escalating global trade tensions. The overall market dropped 5.6% during this period, exacerbated by President Trump's announcement of sweeping tariffs against U.S. trading partners, prompting fears of a trade war. This backdrop of economic uncertainty and potential impact on international travel could have influenced Royal Caribbean's recent stock performance, as concerns about decreased consumer spending and travel disruptions may have contributed to investor apprehension about the company's future prospects in the already-challenging operating environment. We've identified 2 risks for Royal Caribbean Cruises that you should be aware of. Find companies with promising cash flow potential yet trading below their fair value. Royal Caribbean Cruises has seen a total return of 372.88% over the past five years. This impressive performance reflects various corporate maneuvers and market conditions that have shaped investor sentiment and company fortunes. The significant turnaround post-pandemic years, including recoveries in earnings and revenues, has been critical. Notably, the company's 2023 full-year results posted revenues up to US$13.90 billion from US$8.84 billion the previous year, coupled with a return to profitability from a significant past loss. These factors have helped Royal Caribbean outperform the broader market and its industry peers. Further underpinning investor confidence was the company's robust capital return program. This included dividend increases and a US$1 billion share repurchase authorization announced in early 2025. Strategic endeavors, such as ordering a new Edge Series ship and developing new destinations like Perfect Day Mexico, added promising prospects. However, the planned Celebrity River Cruises' launch holds its challenges, as high capital requirements may pose risks to future profitability if projected demand falls short. Royal Caribbean Cruises (NYSE:RCL) Outperforms With 11% Gain Over Last Week

Royal Caribbean Cruises experienced a notable price movement last week with a 11% rise, amidst a backdrop of mixed market performances. While the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite saw declines, the Dow Jones Industrial Average remained relatively stable. Despite broader concerns about economic conditions, including potential tariffs and a recession outlook, Royal Caribbean managed to outperform. The broader market saw a rise of nearly 3% over the period. This increase in Royal Caribbean's share price may correlate with investor confidence in the company's ability to navigate these economic uncertainties, contrasting with downturns in tech stocks during the same timeframe. Every company has risks, and we've spotted 2 weaknesses for Royal Caribbean Cruises you should know about. Trump's oil boom is here — pipelines are primed to profit. Discover the 20 US stocks riding the wave. The last five years have seen Royal Caribbean Cruises delivering a very large total shareholder return of 605.19%, significantly outpacing the broader market. Recent earnings reports have highlighted considerable growth, with Q4 2024 revenue reaching $3.76 billion, up from the previous year's $3.33 billion. These positive financials are bolstered by initiatives like dividend increases, including a quarterly dividend declared in February 2025 of US$0.75 per share, reflecting the company's strong profitability and willingness to return value to shareholders. Royal Caribbean's expansion efforts have been pivotal, such as the order of a sixth Edge Series ship for Celebrity Cruises, enhancing its product offerings. The company also announced substantial plans like Perfect Day Mexico, aimed at increasing their unique Caribbean destinations. In addition, the launch of a US$1 billion share buyback program in February 2025 indicates confidence in future performance, supporting the robust stock performance over this period. In light of our recent valuation report, it seems possible that Royal Caribbean Cruises is trading behind its estimated value. This article by Simply Wall St is general in nature. 10 reasons we're fans of Celebrity Cruises' ship-within-a-ship concept

Advertisement I wrote this article on the veranda of our Sky Suite on Celebrity Millennium – Photo courtesy of Lois Alter Mark When my husband and I decided to reenact our first-ever cruise — we cruised to Alaska with Celebrity Cruises — we decided to upgrade the experience and book The Retreat, Celebrity Cruises' answer to the "hotels within hotels" concept. Offering exclusive accommodations and VIP perks, Celebrity Cruises' ship-within-a-ship concept transforms a massive ocean liner into an intimate experience. Out of a capacity sailing of 2,218 passengers, only about 100 are guests of The Retreat. This concept didn't exist when my husband and I cruised on the Celebrity Millennium 20 years ago. Celebrity Cruises first introduced The Retreat in 2018 with the launch of Celebrity Edge. The experience is now available on all of the cruise line's ships. Here are 10 features we loved about The Retreat — all of which are included in the price. All suites The Penthouse Suite is like a luxury apartment at sea – Photo courtesy of Celebrity Cruises The Retreat consists of 50 suites, starting at a roomy 254 square feet and going up to a whopping 1,432 square feet. We opted for a Sky Suite, which was so well-appointed, featuring a king-sized bed topped with a luxurious Cashmere Mattress, plenty of storage space, top bath products, and comfy robes and slippers. The suite even had a high-quality pair of binoculars we used to focus in on glaciers calving and bald eagles hiding in trees. Advertisement As grand as these interior spaces are, it's the outdoor spaces that make the suites even more coveted. With verandas ranging from a generous 57 square feet to a jaw-dropping 1,098 square feet, you can "ooh" and "ah" over the scenery while having breakfast delivered right to your table. Also, guests staying in Royal Suites and above have access to: complimentary extended stay (the flexibility of staying onboard longer on disembarkation day in selected ports) complimentary access to the SEA Thermal Suite on Edge Series ships and the Persian Garden on Millennium and Solstice Series ships complimentary unlimited specialty dining, including lunch and dinner ability to customize your in-suite minibar before sailing two complimentary bottles of wine or spirits throughout your sailing complimentary sleepwear The Retreat Sundeck The Retreat Sundeck is a private space to take in the view – Photo courtesy of Celebrity Cruises Located one level above the pool, The Retreat Sundeck is the ideal place to get away from the crowd and relax. Here, you'll find cushy daybeds, cabanas, couches, and loungers, as well as a host of amenities, like sunscreen, lip balm, even sunglasses! Advertisement Dedicated staff will ensure you're never without water, cocktails, or anything else you need. There's also a hot tub and outdoor shower for warming up or cooling down. Best of all, because the sundeck boasts prime real estate at the front of the ship, you're guaranteed stunning views as you sail to incredible destinations. The Retreat Lounge The Retreat Lounge is a great place to relax 24/7 – Photo courtesy of Celebrity Cruises Guests of The Retreat are given access to a private lounge, where they can stop by for drinks, small bites, and even afternoon tea. We often dropped in for snacks and made ourselves at home when we passed by on our way to somewhere else. The lounge is also where you'll find The Retreat concierges. Whether you want to make reservations onboard or off, plan a special occasion or a private excursion, consider it done. As a guest of The Retreat, you also have access to a dedicated shore excursions expert. These experts can assist with planning activities at each destination and arranging all transfers so your shore excursions are stress-free. Speaking of which, the lounge is a great place to relax prior to excursions. Advertisement Luminae Luminae is the private restaurant for guests of The Retreat – Photo courtesy of Celebrity Cruises This private restaurant, just for guests of The Retreat, is intimate and lovely — and the food is superb, thanks to an eclectic, ever-changing menu that includes signature dishes and desserts by Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud, a Celebrity Cruises' global culinary brand ambassador. Luminae is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner — and, trust me, you'll enjoy every meal. Can't decide between the filet mignon and the salmon? Be like my husband and order both. Don't skip the juicy Signature Burger with its adorable little basket of fries. It's on the lunch menu every day because it's so beloved the guests would probably revolt if it weren't. Personal service Impeccable service is a keystone of The Retreat – Photo courtesy of Celebrity Cruises Because Celebrity Cruises understands that the real foundation of luxury is service, guests of The Retreat have a team of dedicated attendants, concierges, and your Personal Retreat Host ready to fulfill any request. Although standard gratuities are included as part of The Retreat, you'll probably want to hand each one an additional tip at the end of the cruise for taking such good care of you. Advertisement To ensure guests don't have to lift a finger, all suites at The Retreat come with a dedicated butler, who's only a message away with Butler Chat, allowing easy communication from anywhere on board or onshore. The mini fridge in our suite was always stocked with our favorite beverages. Because these pros don't miss a thing (including my husband's sweet tooth and our penchant for afternoon snacks), we always came back to fresh appetizers and desserts waiting for us at various times of the day. Special invitations and gifts The view from the ship's helipad as we sailed into Endicott Arm, Alaska – Photo courtesy of Lois Alter Mark The unexpected goodies that show up in your suite throughout your cruise are a delightful perk of being a guest of The Retreat. Every night, we received a little box of chocolates along with a small gift, to include a tote bag, Alaska baseball caps, and a keepsake photo of the breathtaking Dawes Glacier. Advertisement We also received invitations to exclusive events, such as a Balinese jewelry-making demonstration and — a highlight of the cruise — front-row seats for a special Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier viewing on the ship's helipad. Warmed by woolen blankets and steaming hot chocolate, we had the best seats in the house when we pulled into this beautiful part of Alaska — nothing but spectacular, head-on views one can't experience from any of the ship's public areas. Onboard credit The Persian Garden is a lovely place to relax – Photo courtesy of Celebrity Cruises Every guest of The Retreat gets a credit, and you'll definitely want to apply it to the amazing specialty restaurants and the spa aboard the ship. Whether you treat yourself to a massage or facial, the spa is a perfect place to spend a day at sea. If you reserve a treatment, you get access to the good-for-what-ails-you Persian Garden, featuring a variety of aqua therapy environments, from aromatic steam to tropical rain showers. The specialty restaurants are all worth trying. Sushi on Five serves up authentic, made-to-order Japanese rolls and nigiri, along with wontons, ramen, and so much more. Tuscan Grille is Italian food at its best, and when your server says they'll bring you a little of each item that looks good to you (which is dangerous because everything will look good to you), don't be fooled. The portions are generous, and you would be wise to wear stretchy pants. Le Petit Chef is a must-experience, combining innovative animation with an equally innovative menu for a truly one-of-a-kind dinner. Advertisement Premium Beverage Package Cheers to the Premium Beverage Package that's included in The Retreat – Photo courtesy of Celebrity Cruises Although the Premium Beverage Package is available to all guests for an extra cost, it's an included perk for guests of The Retreat. That means you can enjoy unlimited specialty coffees and teas, craft and artisan beers, spirits, cocktails, frozen drinks, Coca-Cola products, premium bottled water, and wines by the glass up to $15 per serving. You'll also get 20% off bottles of wine. Unlimited Wi-Fi Thanks to unlimited Wi-Fi, you can share live video with your friends – Photo courtesy of Celebrity Cruises Ship Wi-Fi can be expensive, but guests of The Retreat get unlimited Wi-Fi, making it easy to post photos from your vacation and invite friends and family to join you on your next cruise. Because we didn't have to worry about using data, I was able to work from our veranda, surrounded by stunning scenery and occasionally joined by a humpback whale or a pod of dolphins swimming alongside the ship. Priority embarkation and disembarkation The Retreat guests get priority embarkation so they can start their vacation fast – Photo courtesy of Celebrity Cruises When you're eager to get on board, being a guest of The Retreat will ensure you're whisked in and settled on a lounge chair in no time. And when it's time to disembark, you'll be personally escorted to the gangway, where you'll be shown to the special section cordoned off for The Retreat guests to pick up your luggage. This saves time and makes you feel like you've been visiting with people who really care about you. Know before you go Celebrity Edge gets up close and personal with Alaska's majestic beauty – Photo courtesy of Celebrity Cruises Celebrity Edge also now sails from Alaska, offering guests all of these benefits, plus the option to book an Edge Villa. With its signature outward-facing design, Celebrity Edge brings guests even closer to Alaska's jaw-dropping landscapes. Check Celebrity Cruises' website to explore available cruises.
