You'll never guess what record Bo Nix just broke with Eli Manning

Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix just set another record! But not on the football field. Nix (and his dad, Patrick Nix) teamed up with two-time Super Bowl champion Eli Manning this week to set a Guinness World Record for the most rolls of toilet paper thrown. Yes, that's real. Advertisement It's a tradition at Auburn following a big win to "roll" the trees at Toomer's Corner. So, for an upcoming episode of Eli's Places on ESPN+, the ex-Ole Miss quarterback recruited a pair of former Auburn QBs -- Bo and Patrick -- to help him break a record. They set a record with 7,525 rolls of toilet paper thrown on Tuesday: 'This is special," Eli said of the event, via Jennifer Santiago of The Auburn Plainsman. "This is unbelievable. I know we have a lot of incoming freshmen that are here today. This will be, kind of, your first official rolling of Toomer's Corner as a student here at Auburn, so I'm excited for that." Advertisement Eli, despite playing college football at Ole Miss, was welcomed on campus for the record-breaking day. '(The Alabama governor has) an official plaque, so we're setting the record," he said. "It'll be a great day. This is a thrill for one of the great traditions in college football, the rolling of Toomer's Corner. I know y'all will have many more opportunities to do it this year, so this is just the first of many, especially for you freshmen out there.' Former Auburn quarterback Bo Nix shows Eli Manning the proper technique to throwing roll Toomers during the filming of the ESPN show Eli’s Places at Toomer’s Corner in Auburn, Ala. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. Nix spent the first three years of his college career at Auburn before transferring to Oregon. He was picked by the Broncos in the first round of last year's NFL draft and had an impressive rookie season. Nix has now helped break another record, albeit an unconventional one. Disney Plus and Hulu summer preview trailer offers fresh look at 8 upcoming shows — here's the 3 I'm adding to my watchlist

If you're serious about streaming all the best stuff, it seems like you're going to want access to Disney Plus (and Hulu) throughout 2025. That opinion is based on the exciting teaser that Disney just shared, which showcases what the House of Mouse has primed for release on its two streaming services throughout the back half of 2025. The trailer showcases the streamers' range of content: new and returning comedies, another brief glimpse of Marvel's "Wonder Man" project, and a fresh look at the hotly anticipated new "Alien: Earth" series. Check it out below: Of course, this new clip is only a sizzle reel of what's coming our way, so it's not like we've got a ton of fresh info about any one show in particular. That said, getting excited about streaming is literally my job, and so here are the three things that I'm currently most looking forward to watching (plus a quick rundown of everything shown off). And remember: everything shown off can be streamed via Hulu on Disney Plus for bundle subscribers. Let's get the most obvious project out of the way: "Alien: Earth" looks awesome. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. That trailer that dropped at the start of June was gripping stuff. It boasts some engrossing visuals and feels like it has nailed the "Alien" aesthetic and the lingering dread that H.R. Giger's nightmarish biomechanical creations have been spreading for decades. I look forward to cowering behind my sofa when the beasts are unleashed once more. I watch football, I like comedy, and I think Glen Powell is one of the most watchable stars on our screens right now. As such, "Chad Powers" — the upcoming Hulu comedy show — feels practically tailor-made for me. The half-hour comedy comes from Powell and Michael Waldron, and is based on the character of the same name from "Eli's Places." It sees Powell stepping onto the pitch as QB Russ Holliday. When bad behavior nukes this hotshot's college football career, he disguises himself as Chad Powers, an affable, talented player who walks onto a struggling Southern football team. I grew up with Rick Riordan's "Percy Jackson" books, and after those less-than-stellar movie adaptations, I didn't necessarily have high hopes for the 2023 series adaptation. Season 1 of "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" well and truly proved me wrong, however, and I have been patiently awaiting the fantasy series' return ever since. The first batch of episodes was great fun, and I really can't wait to see the team's take on book 2; it's been on my radar since the start of the year. SUMMER AUTUMN DECEMBER

Chad Powers Teaser: Glen Powell Is All Set To Make A Comeback In College Football

Last Updated: In Chad Powers, Glen Powell plays Russ Holliday, a former college quarterback whose negligent behaviour results in the end of his athletic career. Glen Powell is set to bring his American charm to the upcoming Hulu original series Chad Powers. The sports comedy, inspired by a 2022 ESPN+ sketch from Eli Manning's docuseries Eli's Places, features the Top Gun: Maverick star as a fictional football player with a secret identity. Created by Glen Powell and Michael Waldron, the show, set in the world of Southern College football, has football fans and Internet buzzing mostly for its titular character – Chad Powers but why? Here we explain. The upcoming sports comedy has Powell playing Russ Holliday, a former college quarterback whose negligent behaviour results in the end of his athletic career. Determined to make a comeback, he goes undercover as Chad Powers and joins a struggling southern football team to revive his career. Powell's transformation for the role includes a wig, prosthetic nose and moustache, making him look totally 'unrecognisable' in the teaser dropped recently. Releasing September 20 on Hulu. — DiscussingFilm (@DiscussingFilm) June 14, 2025 Chad Powers is not just a fiction. The character first originated in 2022 when NFL legend Eli Manning went undercover to experience walk-on tryouts at Penn State for his docuseries. He developed a persona as a substitute teacher and carpenter, completed by prosthetics which he gets from a professional makeup artist. The reason – Manning wanted to explore the history of college football through the eyes of real players and coaches. Earlier in a chat with Variety, Manning shared, 'The love for Chad Powers has surprised me in spectacular ways." He added, 'I played 16 years in the NFL, but now when I'm in a restaurant or walking through an airport, it's not uncommon for fans to scream, 'Hey Chad!' I'm so excited to team up with my friends Glen Powell, Michael Waldron and Omaha Productions to continue to tell the Chad Powers story and see what he does next." Chad Powers will premiere on Hulu on September 30. The first two episodes will be released immediately, followed by weekly releases every Tuesday. The show went on floors last year in August and is produced by 20thTelevision, Anomaly Pictures, ESPN and Omaha Productions. Tony Yacenda is the director of the much-awaited project. Besides Glen Powell, the cast also includes Steve Zahn, Perry Mattfeld, Toby Huss, Wynn Everett and Frankie A Rodriguez in key roles. First Published: June 17, 2025, 13:32 IST

Glen Powell takes a page out of Hannah Montana's book in new teaser for football-comedy Chad Powers; take a look

Glen Powell is back — and he's leaning all the way into being Glen Powell. The Top Gun: Maverick star has a new role that feels tailor-made for his charming-jock energy. In the just-dropped teaser for Chad Powers, Powell transforms into a fictional football player with a mullet, swagger, and secret identity. If you thought Powell had already hit peak Powell, think again. But who exactly is Chad Powers, and why are football fans and internet users buzzing? The upcoming Hulu comedy follows Russ Holliday, a disgraced college quarterback who still dreams of making it big. In a last-ditch effort to revive his football career, he goes undercover as 'Chad Powers' and joins a struggling southern football team. Think Ted Lasso, but swap the moustache for a wig and some good old-fashioned southern grit. Here's the fun twist: Chad Powers is not just fiction. He first appeared in 2022, when NFL legend Eli Manning wanted to experience walk-on tryouts at Penn State. As part of his ESPN+ docuseries Eli's Places, he slapped on a wig and prosthetics to go undercover as — you guessed it — Chad Powers. The clip quickly went viral. Manning's goal? To explore the history of college football through the eyes of real players and coaches. But what stuck with fans most was Chad's hilarious blend of clueless charm and gridiron ambition.'The love for Chad Powers has surprised me in spectacular ways,' Manning said. 'I played 16 years in the NFL, but now when I'm in a restaurant or walking through an airport, it's not uncommon for fans to scream, 'Hey Chad!'' He added, 'I'm so excited to team up with my friends Glen Powell, Michael Waldron and Omaha Productions to continue to tell the Chad Powers story and see what he does next.' Once the original video exploded online, Omaha Productions, Peyton Manning's company, was flooded with fan requests for more Chad content. And so, the Ted Lasso-style comedy was born. Hulu has now greenlit a half-hour scripted series starring Powell, with Manning cheering from the sidelines. As expected, social media had a field day reacting to the teaser. One user wrote, 'I'm definitely excited for this, but am I the only one who kinda wishes Eli still played the character?' Another chimed in: 'So basically… Hannah Montana but with football and facial hair.' One X comment perfectly summed up the vibe: 'This sounds like a hilarious twist on sports comedies. Can't wait to see Glen Powell's performance!' Another added, 'Late 30s Glen Powell? That's a choice…' while a fan gushed, 'GP is pure charisma. Will 100% watch.' And honestly? Same. With Glen Powell bringing his all-American charm and Eli Manning's viral alter ego at the heart of it, Chad Powers might just become the next big thing in feel-good football comedy. The show is expected to release on September 20.
