Elle Fanning's older boyfriend Gus Wenner puts his arm around her after a romantic Italian dinner by the beach
Elle Fanning stepped out for dinner at celeb-friendly restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, California on Sunday. She was accompanied by her boyfriend Gus Wenner, 34, and the loved up couple held hands as they exited the Italian eatery. The Maleficent star, 27 looked beautiful in a scoop-neck black top with black slacks and a long black coat. She kept her blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail and as they walked, Gus had a hand on her shoulder and looked at her adoringly. The couple have been together since November 2023 and Elle shares a lot of pictures of their adventures together on Instagram. They made their red carpet debut at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards. Gus was recently named the Executive Chairman of Rolling Stone, after serving as CEO of the magazine co- founded by his father Jann Wenner, 79. He shared a photo with his dad on Instagram upon his promotion. 'It has been an unbelievable journey leading Rolling Stone,' his caption began. 'At the top of the list, working with and learning from my dad, whose vision changed journalism forever. 'There have been so many brilliant contributors and collaborators who have helped transform Rolling Stone from a magazine into a multimedia powerhouse, all while keeping its mission in tact. I 'I am grateful to every single one of them. I look forward to continuing to help guide the ship as Executive Chairman, while embarking on my next chapter. The future is bright,' he concluded. Elle previously dated Max Minghella from 2018 to early 2023 after meeting on the set of School Spirit. The actress confirmed the split in an interview with Harper's Bazaar in April 2023. However, the breakup didn't change her mindset on love. 'I'm a hopeless romantic. I believe in love at first sight. Call me crazy, but I believe in those things. I feel that it's my destiny,' she said. Elle most recently appeared alongside Timothee Chalamet in A Complete Unknown. She is currently filming the AppleTV+ series Margo's Got Money Troubles, based on the same-name novel by author Rufi Thorpe. The series follows Fanning as she stars as Margo Millet, the child of a Hooters waitress (Michelle Pfeiffer) and an ex-pro wrestler (Nick Offerman). Margo becomes pregnant after a brief affair with an English professor at a local junior college. The series follows Margo at age 20 as she struggles to raise an infant as a single mother when she loses her job and is on the verge of eviction.' When her estranged father Jinx (Offerman) shows up on her doorstep, asking for help, she agrees to let him move in but in exchange for help with childcare. She later starts OnlyFans as an experiment and finds herself adapting some of her dad's advice from the world of wrestling once she finds herself having to navigate sudden internet fame. Fanning's older sister Dakota Fanning will also be executive producing alongside David E. Kelley, Matthew Tinker, Nicole Kidman (who also stars), author Thorpe and more. Dakota and Elle are the children of Steve Fanning and Heather Joy Arrington. Both Steve and Heather are former professional athletes. Steve was drafted by the MLB's St. Louis Cardinals in 1988 and played through 1995. Heather is a former pro tennis player. Steve and Heather raised their daughters in Georgia before moving to Los Angeles for the young actors' blossoming careers.

Nevertheless, Fanning confesses that fronting the press at the Palais des Festivals for the premiere of her upcoming film Sentimental Value – and as an ambassador for L'Oréal Paris – was 'nerve-racking' in the best possible way. 'My heart is pounding,' Fanning tells Stellar, recalling the moment she stepped onto the red carpet. 'It's like I have so many butterflies because it's just so magical. [Cannes] is a special place for me, I've been here with many films, I've got to be on the Jury. There's no feeling quite like it on the giant carpet at the Palais.' 'There's so much more progress to be made,' she tells Stellar. 'But we're having these conversations and there are, hopefully, more opportunities being opened up for these talented female filmmakers.' 'I had a lot of people who were kind to me growing up and gave me advice. I just want to be that for people that I work with. 'It's so important for young women to have stories that are told from a woman's point of view. 'To show that you can express yourself and have the confidence to share your stories.' Part of that confidence, Fanning says, comes from her ambassador role with L'Oréal Paris, whose slogan is famously 'because you're worth it'. It really has to do with beauty from the inside, which comes from [having] the confidence to love yourself entirely and to treat yourself [with respect]. 'We are worth it to feel our feelings. We're worth it to be messy. Especially as women, we have the power. It's such a strong message.' 'I get up, I have coffee, I have breakfast – I put a face mask on. I put ice over the face mask that I use to de-puff from jet lag and travelling. I have a [L'Oréal] Revitalift serum that I use for my skin. 'I also try to calm myself because I know it's going to be nerve-racking. It might be a stressful day, so [it's important to] just kind of have the morning to yourself – and get going.' Cartier Releases Latest High Jewelry Collection 'En Equilibre'
The new Traforato necklace form the En Equilibre collection. The official High Jewelry showings in January and July in Paris align with the Haute Couture. Both attract a similar customer: a discerning client with superior tastes and deep pockets. The Cannes Film Festival is also where these categories flourish in visibility, especially the high jewelry, which has used the high-profile event to promote their exquisite and expensive creations on the Red Carpet. Cartier is no exception, with this season boasting styles on Elle Fanning, Catherine Deneuve, and Gong Li. However, to introduce its 115-piece 'En Equilibre' collection, the Place Vendôme jewelry house explored a new region, Stockholm, Sweden, where they unveiled the collection. To celebrate, the brand hosted a formal gala evening at Artipelag art gallery on the waters of the archipelago. The celebration festivities began in Stockholm proper with an exhibition of the collection in the historic Nacka Strandmässen industrial building featuring an open sky vista where guests witness Maison's expert artisans demonstrate the savoir-faire behind the Panthère Dentelée necklace. Highlights of the new collections include The Tsagaan necklace, which features a subtly discernible image of a snow leopard—whose coat makes it hard to spot in the wild— which is mimicked in the diamond and black onyx necklace with an angular design that comes to a point in the center where the face of the elusive big cat appears. Three octagonal emeralds inspired the Traforato necklace, which also has a sharp design motif with a setting that resembles a zig-zag and a cascade of round diamonds hanging from diamond and emerald baguettes. Two shield-cut diamonds inspire the Skudo ring with a graphic and balanced appearance, reaching a point at the ring top. Guests such as friends of the Maison Zoe Saldaña and Swede Alexander Skarsgard, brand ambassadors Deepika Padukone and Anna Sawai, and other VIP attendees were ferried by boat to the art museum that combines architecture and nature. According to a collection release, En Equilibre echoes the design space with a visual harmony that balances colors, length, and volume and 'the space between full and empty and symmetry and asymmetry.' Stockholm also expressed the equilibrium, where creativity and design evoke the balance between urban life and nature and innovation and tradition. Its balance recalls a 'sense of minimalism or lagom: neither too much nor too little.' The High Jewelry pieces were showcased in a 'tableaux vivant'—models dressed in Giambattista Valli's Prêt-à- designs lead the way to the gala dinner. The evening continued with a performance devised by the Canadian rock band The Beaches and a DJ set by Dorion Fiszel.

Viola Davis, Jane Fonda Spotlight Emerging Directors at L'Oréal's Lights on Women's Worth Award
CANNES, France — Cannes was lit up by Jane Fonda and Viola Davis, who arrived on the final weekend of the film festival to honor the next wave of female filmmakers at L'Oréal Paris' Lights on Women's Worth Award ceremony, celebrated in a beachside ceremony. Fellow brand ambassadors Gillian Anderson, who joined the L'Oréal family in February, Simone Ashley, an ambassador since last year, and Elle Fanning were in attendance, after hitting the red carpet earlier in the evening. Cannes Film Festival president Iris Knobloch and Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode executive president Pascal Morand were also among the guests. 'Women, for centuries, have not been a powerful presence in Hollywood. This is slowly changing.' Reflecting on her early days in the industry, Fonda recalled often being the only woman on set, forced to navigate complex on-set politics, as well as love scenes, without support. While she praised the introduction of intimacy coordinators and acknowledged growing representation, she insisted there is still a lot of work to be done. 'This is why it's important — we respond differently to everything. We respond differently to war, to poverty, to health. And so, if you leave our voices out of the media of the culture, then everybody's getting half the story. We're poorer because we're only getting half the story. So when you bring women in, then suddenly there's the full picture. And that's good for men as well as for women, and for boys as well as girls.' Fonda, who hasn't appeared on-screen in two years, has been devoting her energy to climate activism. She also admitted she's been turning down scripts. 'I get offered movies all the time and they're bad, they're not good. They're stereotypes — you know, the 'old woman.' And so I am waiting for a good project,' she said. In the meantime, the iconic actress is working on a memoir titled 'Before I Forget,' which she is still in the process of writing. For Davis, the juror for the award, the evening felt personal after screening the 13 eligible films from the short and student film categories. 'I feel like I have a front-row seat to all of these great female filmmakers' stories, [and] that I'm now a part of it,' she said. 'I have a front-row seat in congratulating them, celebrating them, spotlighting them, awarding them. And that's the gift that it gives to me.' She also praised the powerful narratives being told in women-led films. 'There's some extraordinary films that are out there. The thing that surprises me — but see, it doesn't surprise me — is the depth of storytelling. When you give a woman a story where the woman is in the center of the narrative and they control that voice, what you get is a level of truth that you haven't seen in filmmaking. It's a brutal truth at times and it makes you feel seen because it's so honest.' While progress is happening, Davis acknowledged that there is still a glass ceiling that exists in Hollywood. Still, more actresses are stepping behind the camera to direct, including Kristen Stewart, Scarlett Johansson, and Regina King among them. 'It's still very difficult, but what's happening now is, we're getting hip to the fact that we have to do it anyway,' she said. 'They're out there and they're doing it despite of [difficulty] and they're doing it on their terms. That's the future of filmmaking. I think that we've discovered the elixir.' One of the few actors to achieve EGOT status (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony), Davis admitted she rarely visits the room where her trophies reside. But recently she took some time to revel in a moment of celebration. 'I did allow myself, a few months ago, to sit in there for a couple of hours. And I forced myself to look at them so I can squeal, be proud of my story and my journey and actually, almost proudly say that I've had an interesting life.' At the ceremony, Davis presented the award to Heo Ga-young for her short film 'First Summer,' which was selected from the eligible films. The South Korean director's film follows a woman torn between attending a memorial service and her granddaughter's wedding. 'The depth of understanding the complexity of human loss is a mighty feat. Heo Ga-young through [main character] Yeongsun captures that desperate need for us to claim what makes us feel alive at all costs. Brave, bold and absolutely the story of what it means to be a woman,' Davis said. Delphine Viguier-Hovasse, global brand president of L'Oréal Paris, reflected on the award's significance. 'This fifth anniversary of the Lights on Women's Worth Award is a powerful reaffirmation of our enduring commitment to uplifting women in cinema. This mission is deeply woven into the fabric of who we are at L'Oréal Paris,' she said. 'For the past five years we have been committed to giving recognition and visibility to promising young female directors. I hope one day this award will no longer be needed — a sign that our women have finally claimed their rightful place at the heart of the cinema industry.'
