Collision closes Hwy. 144 north of Cartier
A vehicle collision has closed Highway 144 on Wednesday morning in Stralak, north of Cartier. A vehicle collision has closed Highway 144 on Wednesday morning in Stralak, north of Cartier. Two vehicle crash sends four to hospital in Oxford County
Social Sharing One person is in critical condition, and three others are injured, after a two vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Oxford County, east of London. Provincial police and emergency crews were called to the intersection of Oxford Road 8 and 16th Line, in the Township of East Zorra-Tavistock, at around 3:30 p.m, police said. Two individuals have non-life-threatening injuries, one has serious but non-life-threatening injuries and the other person's injuries are serious. They all came from the same vehicle. The investigation is ongoing. Oxford Road 8 was closed Tuesday between 15th and 17th Line, as was 16th Line at Braemar Sideroad and Oxford Road 5, however they have since reopened.

City of London crane truck collides with Talbot Street bridge
Emergency crews are on the scene of a collision between a City of London crane truck and the Talbot Street bridge. Although one eastbound lane and one westbound lane of Oxford Street were closed for cleanup, they have since reopened. There was a hydraulic fluid leak from the truck which was contained with absorbent and sand. No injuries have been reported as a result. Talbot Street remains closed from Oxford Street to Picadilly Street.

Poorly discarded cigarette butts ignite house fire, causing over $1M damage
A heavy fire and thick smoke shoot from a home on Lynden Street in Collingwood, Ont., on Sun., July 20, 2025. Collingwood's fire chief says cigarette butts tossed in a garbage can caused $1 million in damage to a home and displaced several people. Emergency crews responded to the call around 10 p.m. Sunday night on Lynden Street and arrived to find heavy smoke and flames shooting from the house. Firefighters were able to quickly contain the blaze. Due to the damage estimate, the Ontario Fire Marshal has been notified. It's unclear if an investigator will be sent to inspect the situation. There were no pets in the home and no injuries were reported. The fire chief says six people have been displaced as a result of the fire. Emergency crews respond to crash on Horseshoe Valley Road

Emergency crews responded to a crash on Horseshoe Valley Road in Springwater Township Saturday afternoon where a pickup truck appeared to have driven offroad. Photos supplied to CTV News by a nearby resident show a white pickup truck that appeared to have crashed into a tree.
