Rock legend, 63, to become a dad again as wife, 38, is pregnant with their first baby
A British rock star is set to become a dad again as his wife revealed she is pregnant and is expecting their first child together after tying the knot in 2020 A British rock legend is ready to became a dad for the third time. Roland Orzabal's younger wife Emily Rath Orzabal confirmed she is pregnant. It will be the first child for the Tears for Fears star, 63, and his photographer wife, 38. He also shares two kids, Pascal and Raoul, from his previous marriage to Caroline, who died in 2017 aged 54. The Shout star Roland's new wife revealed the exciting news on social media, sharing a sweet Instagram post with her followers. The image showed Emily cradling her baby bump while wearing a hooped dress top. She gazed down at her belly with a loving stare in the snap. She simply captioned the upload with a red heart emoji. The pair were met with an influx of well wishes in the comments section of the post. One user gushed: "The glow and beauty of being a mother... Aww, congratulations to you both." Another said: "Hallelujah, you've never looked more beautiful Bless you for sharing with us for we do truly care and are beyond excited for the family. Blessings." Roland and Emily quietly wed in 2020. They exchanged their vows on top of Aspen Mountain in Colorado. It came after the Covid-19 pandemic forced them to cancel their original wedding plans. At the time, Emily shared: 'We had to postpone our original wedding date in September 2020 because of Covid. I felt as all corona brides have been feeling: angry, sad, gypped, and confused as to when we should have a wedding. 'Roland and I were in the States for work. We desperately wanted to get married, even just legally, and so to honour our original date, we secretly eloped, just the two of us, atop a mountain in Aspen. It was the most magical moment of my life. 'It breaks my heart that my family could not be there to see it, but no one wanted to risk their safety. Two weddings was never my dream, but we adapted, separating the legal wedding from the celebratory wedding to come.' She went on to add: 'In September we were able to use the autumnal flowers we'd originally wanted, and next year we can have all of the spring flowers! We got married at 11,212 ft high on Aspen Mountain, whereas next year will be inside an incredible venue." Emily also gushed over how happy she had been in the months following the intimate ceremony. "Six months into marriage, I am so happy," she said. "And cannot wait to marry Roland again next year, with all of our favourite people around us. We've been planning that one for a very very long time, so it should be extraordinary!' The pair did celebrate with a bigger wedding the following year. They were surrounded by loved ones at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire for take two.

Millie's parents thought their three-year-old had a stomach ache and rushed her to hospital... now she's fighting for life after swallowing a very common household item
A family living every parent's worst nightmare has issued an urgent warning after their toddler swallowed two magnets and ended up in an induced coma. Three-year-old Millie Koski will spend months recovering in the Queensland Children's Hospital in Brisbane, 370km away from her home in Bundaberg. The toddler was rushed to hospital in early July after a stomach ache, high fever, and green vomit quickly deteriorated into a life-threatening emergency. Her bowels began to shut down as her condition worsened, and within days, Millie had been airlifted to Brisbane for emergency surgery. As she was placed on life support, doctors warned her parents Emily and Luke that the next few days would be critical and there was no certainty Millie would survive. The little girl had swallowed two small high-powered magnets on separate occasions, which had locked together inside her stomach. The magnets caused catastrophic damage to her digestive system as her bowel leaked into her stomach, as well as severe infection and sepsis. Surgeons drained more than a litre of pus from Millie's tiny body and removed the majority of her bowel. Millie will undergo multiple surgeries in the coming weeks, where doctors will attempt to reattach her bowel. Family and friends have rallied around Millie's parents, who have put their entire lives on hold to be by their daughter's bedside. 'They are far from home, away from their other children, family, and support systems,' a GoFundMe page started by a family friend stated. 'They are facing mounting bills, rent, travel, and living expenses while trying to stay by their little girl's side. 'This is every parent's nightmare, and it's not over yet. 'We are beyond grateful that Millie is still here, thanks to the urgent and expert care she received. This family now faces a long and uncertain road ahead.' The fundraiser is raising awareness of the life-threatening dangers of high-powered magnets in the hope other families don't have to go through the same ordeal. The magnets Millie swallowed are banned from being sold in Australia and New Zealand but can be found in products bought overseas or online. 'These tiny but powerful magnets can be found in toys, fridges, electronics, even jewellery,' the fundraiser continued. 'There is simply not enough awareness, and it almost cost Millie her life. Magnets are not toys, and parents everywhere deserve to know how dangerous they can be. 'If this message reaches just one other family and prevents another child from going through what Millie has, then some good can come from this heartbreaking ordeal.' 'Symptoms can take hours or days to appear and can include choking, drooling, stomach ache, discomfort or pain around the face or throat, cramps, nausea, and vomiting.'

Sowing the Seeds of Love! Tears for Fears star Roland Orzabal and his wife Emily expecting first child
Tears for Fears musician Roland Orzabal and his wife are expecting a baby. The 63-year-old guitarist-and-vocalist and his spouse, photographer Emily Rath Orzabal, are having their first child together. Emily, 38, shared a photo of her showing off her baby bump on Instagram captioned simply with just a red heart emoji. The couple "secretly eloped" and married on Aspen Mountain in Colorado in 2020 after having to postpone their original wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Revealing their private nuptials, Emily posted on Instagram: "We had to postpone our original wedding date in September 2020 because of Covid. I felt as all corona brides have been feeling: angry, sad, gypped, and confused as to when we should have a wedding. "Roland and I were in the States for work. We desperately wanted to get married, even just legally, and so to honour our original date, we secretly eloped, just the two of us, atop a mountain in Aspen. It was the most magical moment of my life. It breaks my heart that my family could not be there to see it, but no one wanted to risk their safety. "Two weddings was never my dream, but we adapted, separating the legal wedding from the celebratory wedding to come. In September we were able to use the autumnal flowers we'd originally wanted, and next year we can have all of the spring flowers! We got married at 11,212 ft high on Aspen Mountain, whereas next year will be inside an incredible venue. I wore a stunning Amanda Wakeley dress, which flowed in the wind so beautifully, and next year I will be wearing Phillipa Lepley. I still don't feel as though I've had a wedding, because it was just the two of us, and it was a secret. We have yet to have a first dance or a honeymoon! But, six months into marriage, I am so happy, and cannot wait to marry Roland again next year, with all of our favourite people around us. We've been planning that one for a very very long time, so it should be extraordinary!" A year after Roland and Emily's elopement in 2020, they had a celebratory wedding with friends and family at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, England. Roland is one half of Tears For Fears with Curt Smith and their hits include Everybody Wants to Rule the World and Head over Heels. Orzabal already has two sons, Pascal and Raoul, from his previous marriage to Caroline Orzabal. Caroline died in July 2017 aged 54 after suffering from alcoholism-related dementia and cirrhosis, which followed a depression diagnosis. Following the passing of Caroline with whom he was married to since 1982, Roland told The Irish Times that his life 'sort of fell apart in 2018' and he went to rehab. The traumatic events in his personal life eventually led to Tears For Fears writing their seventh studio LP The Tipping Point. Tears For Fears released the song Emily Said on October 25, 2024, inspiring which Emily to post on her Instagram: 'It's a good day for Emilys around the world because @tearsforfearsmusic just released a song about us'.
