Glaiza De Castro wears Pirena costume from 'Encantadia' 2005
Glaiza De Castro just wore Pirena's warrior costume from the 2005 version of "Encantadia!" On Instagram, the Sparkle star shared a short reel of her in the iconic red armor worn by the original Pirena, Sunshine Dizon. She also had Pirena's weapons, the two swords wielded dual style. "Heto na, mga warka," she wrote in the caption. Glaiza played Pirena in the 2016 remake of "Encantadia." She will reprise her role in the upcoming spinoff, "Sang'gre," which stars Bianca Umali, Kelvin Miranda, Faith Da Silva, and Angel Guardian. The actress is also one of the celebrities who will compete in the "Stars on the Floor," the dance competition hosted by Alden Richards. 'Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre' to air on GMA Prime starting June 16
The long wait is almost over! "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre" is set to air on GMA Prime beginning June 16, as announced by the show's official Facebook page on Friday. The announcement included a 45-second teaser of the upcoming "Encantadia" spinoff, which offers a glimpse into the early beginnings of series villain Mitena (Rhian Ramos), an Ice Queen and the twin sister of Cassiopeia (Solenn Heussaff). It also offered a glimpse into some of the thrilling fight scenes of the new generation of Sang'gres, played by Bianca Umali (Terra), Faith Da Silva (Flamarra), Kelvin Miranda (Adamus), and Angel Guardian (Deia). "Sang'gre," directed by Rico Gutierrez and Enzo Williams, also stars Glaiza De Castro, Sanya Lopez, Rocco Nacino, Ruru Madrid, Kylie Padilla, Jon Lucas, Ysabel Ortega, and Gabby Eigenmann, among others. —CDC, GMA Integrated News

Kelvin Miranda admits getting overwhelmed playing Adamus in 'Sang'gre'
Kelvin Miranda's character as Adamus in "Sang'gre" is set to give a new flavor to the upcoming fantasy series. In Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras," Monday, the Sparkle actor admitted that he initially got overwhelmed in his role. "Hindi lang siya naba-base kung sino ka, kung ano 'yung klase ng pagkatao mo. Lahat ay may karapatan para maging tagapangalaga so base sa iyong dedikasyon, laman ng puso at paniniwala,'" Kelvin said. "Nakaka-overwhelmed din kasi ang daming nangyari, samo't saring knowledge and emotions 'yung naramdaman mo habang ginagawa mo itong 'Encantadia,' and at the same time natututo ka habang tumatagal," he added. A prince of the Kingdom of Adamya who later became a slave, Adamus is the son of Alena, a role played by Gabbi Garcia in the 2015 series. He is also the new keeper of Brilyante ng Tubig. Aside from Kelvin, Angel Guardian will also add some spice in "Sang'gre" with her role as Deia, the new guardian of the Brilyante ng Hangin. According to Angel, she embraced the role of Sang'gre Deia with all her heart and mind. "Masasabi kong matapang ako pero hindi ko masasabing kasing tapang ako ni Deia and I aspire na maging gano'n katapang one day," she said. Angel is also thankful for being part of the new generation of Sang'gres. "Each character sa amin, meron at merong makaka-relate and I can't wait for the people to see and know each character including Deia," the Sparkle star said. Kelvin and Angel will be joined by Bianca Umali as Terra, the new keeper of the Brilyante ng Lupa, and Faith Da Silva as Flamarra, the keeper of the Brilyante ng Apoy. Bianca Umali, Faith Da Silva aim to excellently deliver ‘Sang'gre' as gift to ‘Encantadia' fans
Bianca Umali and Faith Da Silva expressed their deep commitment to delivering excellent performances in 'Sang'gre,' which is a heartfelt gift to the fans of 'Encantadia.' The teasers gave a closer look into their characters and allowed viewers to witness their fighting skills. Bianca and Faith are joined by Kelvin Miranda and Angel Guardian as the new generation of Sang'gres. Bianca will play the role of Terra, the new keeper of the Brilyante ng Lupa; Faith's Flamarra is the keeper of the Brilyante ng Apoy; Angel will portray the role of Deia, the keeper of the Brilyante ng Hangin; and Kelvin will be the first male Sang'gre as Adamus, the keeper of the Brilyante ng Tubig.
