Kapuso stars, execs grace Shaira Diaz and EA Guzman's wedding
Shaira Diaz and EA Guzman's wedding was nothing short of a star-studded celebration. According to Nelson Canlas' report on '24 Oras' Thursday, the couple's special day was witnessed by their closest friends from inside and outside showbiz. Among those part of the entourage were Senator Jinggoy Estrada, Kapuso Comedian Genius Michael V., Officer-in-Charge for Entertainment Group and Vice President for Drama Cheryl Ching-Sy, GMA Public Affairs Senior Vice President and GMA Pictures Executive Vice President Nessa Valdellon, and GMA Integrated News anchor Vicky Morales. 'Konti na lang 'yung tip na ibibigay ko, parang commitment na lang at tsaka unahin ang kasal bago showbiz,' Bitoy said. EA's 'Bubble Gang' co-stars, Cheska Fausto, Kokoy De Santos, Matt Lozano, Chariz Solomon, and Paolo Contis, were also in attendance. 'Mahal na mahal namin 'yang si EA. I'm very happy for Shaira also,' Paolo said. 'I-enjoy niyo lang 'yung time niyo na kayong dalawa pa lang, wala pang kids. Kasi natutuwa lang ako na like mapagdaanan nila step by step,' Chariz said. Shaira's 'Unang Hirit' co-hosts were also present on her wedding day. 'Na-in love sila sa isa't-isa, hindi nila kinalimutan 'yung kanilang mga magulang, 'yung pagmamahal nila sa kanilang magulang. So I wish them happiness and more happiness, more love, and good luck on your wedding night,' Susan Enriquez said. EA told Shaira after exchanging I do's, "'Yung kanina, nung inaantay kita sa pinto, sabi ko lang talaga, 'Oh, my God. Oh, my God.' 'Yun lang.' 'Ako, I'm very happy. We're so blessed kasi napakaganda ng weather ngayon. Yesterday sobrang umuulan, and we prayed for this. Ang daming nagdasal para sa araw na 'to, so thank you. Masaya kami na ang dami ring nagpunta at nag-celebrate kasama kami, so we're very grateful,' Shaira said. Shaira and EA have been engaged since 2021, but only publicized it in 2024. Shaira previously shared that she wanted to marry EA after completing her college degree, a goal she achieved in August that year. The couple had vowed to remain celibate until marriage, with EA admitting that it was difficult at first. AACA Ambassador for the Philippines Gigi Santiago-Lara says 'media is connection'
The Asian Academy Creative Arts (AACA) brought together the best names in journalism and film for an industry roundtable at the Wynwood Hotel in Pasig City on Thursday. AACA Ambassador for the Philippines and GMA Network Vice President for Musical, Variety, Specials, and Alternative Productions for Entertainment Group Gigi Santiago-Lara gave the opening and closing remarks. Santiago-Lara said the event is 'more than just a dialogue' between creatives, storytellers, and producers, but also 'a platform to explore production and co-production, opportunities and trends that are reshaping the global media industry while also placing a well-deserved spotlight on Philippine journalism.' 'As Philippines' ambassador, I'm proud to represent the nation that deeply values collaboration, creativity, and cultural exchange,' she said. With the media industry constantly changing in platforms, content, and the like, events like the roundtable do not just provide networking opportunities, but 'also for enriching content, culture, and innovation,' she added. Following the roundtable discussion, Santiago-Lara concluded, 'We hope this gathering has reminded us that media is more than just content, it's connection, it's community.' She thanked the broadcasters who attended for the reminder that there is 'heart and courage behind every headline.' 'To all our media professionals, creatives, and visionaries here, may the conversations we started today continue beyond this room, and may they grow into partnerships that uplift the Philippines, empower communities, and ignite change.' The roundtable event was also attended by GMA executives including Senior Vice President for Public Affairs and Executive Vice President for GMA Pictures Nessa Valdellon and Officer-in-Charge for Entertainment Group Cheryl Ching-Sy.
