One of just 50 MC12 Stradale road cars built to homologate Maserati's dominant FIA GT1 racer, the car on offer shows just over 11,500 kilometers (Estimate: $4,800,000 - $5,500,000). 'The MC12 is the pinnacle of the Maserati brand—it's the marque's first and only supercar and the car that put it back on the competition map,' says Alexander Weaver, Senior Car Specialist and VP of Private Sales for Broad Arrow. 'While it is based around the Ferrari Enzo, the MC12 wears a competition-purpose body, offers a removable roof panel, and is significantly rarer, produced in just 50 units compared to the Enzo's 400. It is fresh from a comprehensive service, and ready to drive and enjoy.' The MC12 program is credited with successfully restoring Maserati to its rightful place among the world's most premier racing marques while simultaneously creating one of the most coveted road cars of the modern era. Chassis number 12095 was completed in 2005, the second and final year of production. It is finished in the signature Bianco Fuji pearlescent white livery with blue accents that paid homage to the colors of the America CAMORADI Scuderia, which campaigned the legendary Maserati Tipo 60/61 Birdcages in the early 1960s. The sporting exterior is complemented by a luxurious Blu leather and BrighTex fabric interior. The MC12 Stradale's technical foundation centered on the 6.0-liter Tipo M144A V12 engine derived from the Enzo. In Maserati tune, the powerplant produced 630 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 481 lb-ft of torque at 5,500 rpm. The car on offer is a superb, road-going version of the era-defining GT racing car of the 2000s, offering the chance to own and experience a true homologation special that bridges Maserati's illustrious competition heritage with modern performance from one of the most dominant GT1 programs in history. Led by the MC12, Broad Arrow's Monterey Jet Center Auction will present 170 lots over two exciting days, a curation of some of the most highly desirable collector cars across today's most active segments of the market. From modern supercars and track-focused machines to timeless post-war classics and on-the-rise JDM icons, there's something for every automotive passion at the August 13-14 sale. 'The cars they are after are nevertheless still best-of-category, incredibly rare, and of the highest quality, whether that means low mileage or careful preservation. Ferrari F80: A look back at the iconic supercars that paved the way

Ferrari represents the pinnacle of performance, desirability and racing pedigree in the motoring world. In its 86-year history, the Italian firm has created some of the world's most expensive and fastest road cars. Its latest creation, the F80, is the flagship of the Ferrari model line-up, featuring a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 and three electric motors to deliver 1,184bhp. But which Ferrari supercars came before it? We've been looking at all of the classic models that the F80 will be looking up to. Ferrari F80 288 GTO The 288 GTO was one of the world's first supercars when it was released in 1984. It was powered by a 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8, with power sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. When it comes to numbers, the powertrain produced 389bhp and all the panels were made from carbon fibre, fibreglass and Kevlar, with the car weighing just 1,158kg. Ferrari 288 GTO The exterior featured flip-up headlights, quad daytime running lights and the air vents and spoilers paid homage to the old 250 GTO racer from the 1960s. F40 One of Ferrari's greatest hits arrived in 1987 with the F40, which took road cars to a new level. The F40 was all about lightness, which meant that the interior was stripped out with no carpets or stereo and even the paint was a lot thinner than standard Ferraris – all to reduce the car's weight. Under the bonnet, it was powered by the same 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 found in the 288 GTO, however, its displacement had been expanded, so power figures increased to 464bhp, with the car weighing just 1,254kg. Ferrari F40 All of this weight-saving meant that the F40 at the time was one of the world's fastest road cars with a 0-60mph time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 201mph – the first road car to break the 200mph barrier. F50 The F40's replacement was the F50, and it had big boots to fill after the success of its predecessor. The F50 came fitted with a 4.7-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine, producing 505bhp and it was accompanied by a top speed of 194mph. The design changed too, with the car featuring exposed front headlights and deep channels to help flow air smoothly over the car and keep the V12 motor cool. Ferrari F50 The car's engine was mounted between the cabin and rear axle, making it mid-engined, which also helped to improve the car's weight distribution. Enzo (F60) At the start of the new millennium, Ferrari decided to release a new supercar for the 21st century, and that was the F60 – also known as the Enzo. It replaced the F50, and featured a slipperier body, scissor doors and a bigger 6.0-litre naturally-aspirated V12 powertrain that produced a total of 642bhp. All this power meant it could hit a claimed top speed of 217mph. Ferrari Enzo Other changes included carbon-ceramic brake discs, a carbon fibre body shell and a sharper Formula One-styled front end – cutting-edge technology for the time. It also featured a semi-automated paddle-shift gearbox for faster shifts. Ferrari claims that just 400 examples of the Enzo were made worldwide. La Ferrari Before we had the F80, Ferrari gave us the La Ferrari, which may sound like a peculiar name – especially translated in Italian – meaning 'The Ferrari'. It formed part of the 2010s 'Holy Trinity' hypercar showdown, competing with direct rivals from Porsche and McLaren. The La Ferrari was the first model in the firm to use a hybrid powertrain, which featured a 6.3-litre V12 mated to an electric motor, pumping out a colossal 937bhp and running all the way to a claimed top speed of 231mph. La Ferrari Also, the La Ferrari featured a seven-speed dual-clutch paddle-shift gearbox, with power being sent to the rear wheels. Plus, there was even a drop-top 'Aperta' model, which featured a carbon fibre lid and canvas cover, to give the ultimate wind-in-the-hair experience. B.C. dog owner rallies supporters in fight to save pit bull from euthanasia

A B.C. dog owner is fighting to save her pit bull from being put down, after the animal was deemed dangerous and ordered to be euthanized. Amardeep Haer, who lives in the Township of Langley, says her dog Enzo was wrongly seized by bylaw officers in April 2024 after a contractor was bitten at her home. Township officials say Enzo was responsible for the attack, the second biting incident involving the dog, but Haer insists it was her family's other pit bull, not Enzo, who bit the man. 'Honestly, we just want our dog back,' Haer told CTV News. 'And I won't stop until we do. Because I know my family was wronged.' Enzo has been held at the Langley Animal Protection Society (LAPS) ever since the seizure and is slated to be euthanized. Haer has hired legal counsel, gone public with her story, and launched a petition that has garnered more than 14,000 signatures. 'It's an amazing amount of support,' she said. On Wednesday, Haer and supporters rallied outside Township of Langley City Hall, protesting the euthanasia order. While Haer is taking legal action, she's also facing a lawsuit of her own. Brandon Fox, the contractor involved in the 2024 incident, has filed a claim against Haer — alleging both pit bulls 'viciously attacked' him, causing injuries requiring multiple surgeries. He declined to be interviewed and none of his claims have been tested in court. Haer also declined to comment on the lawsuit. According to court documents, Fox is seeking damages for pain, suffering, lost income, and permanent scarring. His lawsuit claims Haer 'failed to adequately secure her animals' and knew they posed a risk. 'After entering the backyard to bring fencing materials, a rear door of the residence was opened – allowing two dogs, Enzo and a female pit bull, to enter the backyard. The dogs were uncontrolled and viciously attacked the plaintiff, repeatedly biting him,' read the claim. The Township of Langley says Enzo was involved in two separate attacks before his seizure including on a 16-year-old girl who was bitten and treated in hospital. The second attack resulted in serious injuries and lengthy hospitalization, according to the Township. An independent behavioural assessment reportedly determined Enzo posed an ongoing threat to public safety. The Township also confirmed Enzo sustained minor injuries during the seizure, caused by biting a catch pole, and was treated immediately by LAPS, the non-profit animal control service contracted by the Township. Haer alleges LAPS committed animal abuse during the seizure, which the non-profit denies. Haer also claims Enzo wasn't treated by vets for nearly 24 hours. The seizure and euthanasia application were carried out under the Community Charter and Township's Animal Control Bylaw. The decision on Enzo's future rests with the provincial court. The Township launched a 'For the Record' website to clarify public information about the case. 'There are two different versions of what happened, and this is why the matter is before the courts,' said Township Mayor Eric Woodward. 'It's a pretty tragic incident from top to bottom – for both Enzo and the individual that was injured in the attack, which no one denies occurred.' Woodward confirmed council can intervene legally but only through formal direction and with consideration of liability. 'If council wanted to change direction and give legal direction to staff, it would have the option to do that,' he said. 'That would be subject to legal advice and a healthy debate about what future liability that may put the Township in.' Woodward has reviewed court filings and is reserving judgment. 'It's difficult to render an opinion on something that's before the courts, given the role that I have,' he said. 'But I've read everything, and I think it's important that people base their opinions on all the facts – not just one media report or social post.' A decision on Enzo's fate is expected to be handed down by a judge by September.
