‘I never went to that island': Trump makes big statement amid Epstein allegations, points finger at Bill Clinton

President Donald Trump vehemently urged media outlets to stop investigating his suspected ties to late pedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein and instead focus on accusations against one of his predecessors. REUTERS/Evelyn Hockstein/File Photo(REUTERS) Trump spoke to reporters while leaving the White House for a trip to Scotland, where he owns three golf estates. When reporters questioned him about the Epstein Files, the US President again rejected the allegations of his involvement in the Epstein Files and blamed Bill Clinton. He even claimed that he never went to Epstein's private island Little St. James. 'You ought to be talking about Bill Clinton. Who went to the island 28 times. I never went to the island.' In response to a reporter's question about whether he wrote a letter to Epstein, Trump stated that he has no idea what they are talking about. 'Now, anybody could have written the letter and used my name. That's happened a lot.' Blanche has interviewed Trump's associate in an attempt to calm Trump's supporters ire over the denial of records from Epstein's case. The President further stated that he did not have much idea about Maxwell's talks with Blanche, adding that he trusts him as a 'professional lawyer'. 'You know, you should focus on Clinton. You should focus on the president of Harvard, the former president of Harvard. He should focus on some of the hedge fund guys — I'll give you a list,' Trump said. He later stated that although he is 'allowed' to pardon Maxwell, he hasn't given it any thought. 'I'm allowed to do it, but it's something I haven't thought about.' Earlier this month, Trump dismissed that his name was mentioned in the documents. He further claimed that former presidents Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and James Comey, the former head of the FBI, 'made up' the Epstein Files.

‘Allowed' to pardon Ghislaine Maxwell, but haven't ‘thought' about it: Donald Trump

US President Donald Trump on Friday said he could pardon Ghislaine Maxwell, who was associated with Jeffrey Epstein, if she cooperates with investigations, but he has not yet considered doing so. President Donald Trump speaks with reporters before departing on Marine One from the South Lawn of the White House, Friday, July 25, 2025, in Washington. (AP) 'I'm allowed to do it, but it's something I have not thought about,' Trump said on Friday at the White House before leaving for Scotland. When asked again by reporters, Trump declined to give more details, saying it was part of an ongoing investigation. Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year sentence for helping Epstein abuse underage girls, met for the second day on Friday with deputy attorney general Todd Blanche. Blanche, who used to be Trump's personal lawyer, arranged the meeting as pressure grows on the administration to release more documents related to the case. Some critics, including a few Republican lawmakers, have warned against pardoning Maxwell. They say it could lead her to lie to investigators. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, a Republican from Kentucky, told CNN this week that any idea of a pardon should be 'off the table' and that he did not think other Republicans would support it. Recently, the Wall Street Journal reported that Trump is mentioned in the Justice Department's Epstein files, along with many other business and political figures. The report made it clear that being named does not mean someone was involved in any crime. It also said Trump once wrote Epstein a letter with a drawing and a message for a birthday book made for him. Trump denied writing the letter and has filed a libel lawsuit against Dow Jones & Co., News Corp., and Rupert Murdoch over the report. On Friday, Trump told reporters he trusted Blanche in his talks with Maxwell, calling him a 'professional lawyer.' 'I think he's been through things like this before,' Trump said. He also said he was frustrated that the media keeps talking about his link to Epstein and said others should be looked at instead. He insisted he had 'nothing to do with the guy.' 'I never went to the island,' Trump said, referring to Epstein's Caribbean properties where he is said to have abused young women. 'You should focus on some of the hedge fund guys. I'll give you a list,' Trump said. 'These guys lived with Jeffrey Epstein, I sure as hell didn't.'

Trump Hangs Up After CNN Question About Epstein Photo

President Donald Trump hung up on a CNN reporter during a phone call Tuesday that lasted a mere 30 seconds after the journalist questioned him about resurfaced images showing Jeffrey Epstein at Trump's 1993 wedding to his second wife, Marla Maples. While appearing Tuesday on Erin Burnett OutFront, reporter Andrew Kaczynski shared details about the abrupt phone call with Trump that ended in name-calling. The call took place after CNN's KFile found photos of Epstein and Trump that had not been widely reported on before. One photo showed the disgraced financier and sex offender attending Trump's Plaza Hotel wedding to Maples. In a separate image, Epstein was seen with Trump and his children at a Harley-Davidson Cafe that same year. CNN also released a video of Trump and Epstein chatting with each other at a Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in New York in February 1999. Kaczynski told host Burnett that the call, in which he asked Trump about the images, ended with the president slamming CNN as 'fake news' and hanging up after he refused to answer questions about his past connection to Epstein. 'We were not on the phone very long. I think our call was about 30 seconds or so,' Kaczynski told Burnett. 'But when I asked him about the wedding photo, he said, he sort of paused for a second and then said, 'You've got to be kidding me,' before calling CNN 'fake news' and then hanging up on me.' In a statement to CNN, Kaczynski said, White House communications director Steven Cheung said, "These are nothing more than out-of-context frame grabs of innocuous videos and pictures of widely attended events to disgustingly infer something nefarious." Cheung added: 'The fact is that the president kicked [Epstein] out of his club for being a 'creep.'' Kaczynski's heated yet ultra-brief conversation with Trump comes after the Department of Justice and FBI released a two-page memo earlier this month, claiming their Epstein investigation determined that there was no evidence Epstein was murdered or had a 'client list' of powerful figures he could potentially blackmail. Following the memo release, Trump faced scrutiny over his administration's handling of the Epstein files, particularly from his own base. Since then, both Republicans and Democrats have called on the president and his administration to release more information.

Trump's Reported Appearance In Epstein Records Stirs Reaction

In May, Pam Bondi reportedly informed President Donald Trump that his name appeared in what she previously called a "truckload" of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, according to a new Wall Street Journal report released on Wednesday. Per the report, Bondi and her deputy brought the news to Trump during a routine White House briefing, telling him his name was among hundreds of high-profile figures listed in the files. Officials described the contents as "unverified hearsay," and it remains unclear exactly what information was tied to Trump. The revelation comes as Trump continues efforts to distance himself from Epstein, following a recent Justice Department memo stating that there was no Epstein "client list," no basis to investigate uncharged third parties, and no grounds to release additional materials. This latest WSJ report also follows a separate article from the outlet last week detailing a lewd birthday letter Trump allegedly sent to Epstein. Trump dismissed the report as fake and is suing the publication. In the wake of these revelations — especially the WSJ's report on Trump's name purportedly appearing in the files — people had plenty to say: "Of course it is. We all assumed that. He may not be guilty of a crime, but the information would definitely hurt him. That's why he's so desperate for them not to be released." "Kudos to the WSJ for not cowering to the lawsuit threat. If they are publishing this when a multi-billion-dollar demand against them is in place, it means they are pretty confident about their information, and the proof is in the pudding." "Let's be clear. There are folks implicated in this crime spree on both sides of the political spectrum. Release it all and let the chips fall where they may." "I would say I'm shocked and surprised but as we all know that would be disingenuous. It would be like saying I'm shocked and surprised that noon came at 12 PM today." "Will the one person who is surprised, please raise their hand?" "Seems pretty simple ... redact the victims' names and the child porn, then release the documents. Let the chips fall where they may. The right wing media is the one who've been making hay over this, time to lay in the bed they made even if their cult leader is a part of the story." "House Republicans will shut the whole place down to avoid releasing the Epstein files. But just this month they stayed up all night to steal your healthcare and give billionaires giant tax breaks. Priorities." "Is anyone else getting whiplash? 'The files are on my desk.' 'There are no files.' 'The files are a democrat plant to distract you.' and now... 'Trump is in the files.'" "This is disgusting. I have no words to describe what a betrayal it is." "Wow, do I miss the boring days of the Biden administration." "Quick, we've got to deflect from this story! Put out the arrest warrant for Obama immediately!" "While trump and what's in the files are getting the most noise, the real issue is the attorney general of the United States has [flip-flopped] on more than one occasion over this. Imagine what the reaction from the right would be if this was a dem administration. and, so far, Rupert [Murdoch] doesn't seem too bothered by trump's threats." "if the roles were reversed, the outrage would be in all caps and 24/7, but silence always speaks volumes when it's politically convenient." "This, of course, would necessitate her resignation as AG. But we are beyond such occuring under this administration and political party. As a nation we are truly lost with Trump and GOP in power." And finally, "Its a very old RICH & POLITICALLY POWERFUL MEN thinking they can do anything they want without repercussions. Unfortunately, it's usually true. No one should be shocked that trump & probably many of his billionaire 'buddies' were friends with and partied with Epstein. The question is, who, if any of these men, crossed the line into illegality. Trump certainly knew that Epstein liked very young girls. What else did he know? Trump & his MAGA cohorts have been very aggressive about pointing the Epstein finger at their Democratic rivals, much to the delight of the MAGA base. He's not so happy now that the Epstein finger is being pointed directly at him. His MAGA base isn't happy either. WILL THE TRUTH EVER BE REVEALED?" What are your thoughts?
