Jharkhand shocker: A tragic incident was reported on Saturday morning when two goods trains derailed in Saraikela Kharsawa district. The train accident occurred in the Chandil area which comes under the Adra Division of South Eastern Railway, ANI reported. Train services between the Chandil-Tatanagar section of South Eastern Railway were disrupted after over 20 wagons of a goods train were derailed, an official informed PTI. 'There was no report of any injury in the derailment,' PTI quoted the official as saying. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Adra Division) Vikash Kumar noted that train services on both the up and down tracks from Chandil are affected due to the derailment, PTI reported. While restoration work is going on, many express and mail trains were either diverted, short-terminated or cancelled. The list of trains that were cancelled include 20894 Patna-Tatanagar Vande Bharat express, 28181 Tatanagar-Katihar express and 28182 Katihar-Tatanagar express. In an unrelated incident, around two jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force were wounded in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in Jharkhand's West Singhbhum district on Friday, August 8. The incident reported at Chaibasa, took place in Mankey area near Jaraikela which lies within the dense Saranda forest. CRPF's CoBRA battalion's injured personnel were promptly airlifted to Ranchi, PTI reported. Later, Inspector General (Ranchi) Manoj Kaushik met the injured jawans who were a part of the afternoon search operation. "They have received splinter injuries. Their family members have been informed of the incident. Doctors say both of them are stable and will recover soon," Manoj Kaushik said. This comes after, Jharkhand Police launched a massive manhunt to catch 55 Naxalites, including top CPI (Maoist) commanders. Notably, the suspects carrying a cumulative bounty of ₹ 8.45 crore. "At least three top Maoists — Misir Besra, Patiram Manjhi and Asim Mandal — with each carrying a reward of ₹ 1 crore on their heads, are operating in the Saranda region," the IG added.

1 2 Jamshedpur: Two CoBRA jawans of the 209 CRPF Battalion have sustained multiple body injuries in the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion triggered by the Naxalites in the Saranda forest of West Singhbhum district on Friday. The security forces were reportedly negotiating a rocky terrain at the Hindukuli area of Saranda forests in Digha village under the Jaraikela police station limits when the IED exploded suddenly. The jawans were continuing with their combing operations in the forests to hunt down top Maoist leaders who were reportedly roaming in the area. A police statement said, "The injured jawans were administered first aid at the CRPF camp at the combing site and they were airlifted to Ranchi for further medical care." The injured personnel are identified as constables Ram Pravesh Singh and Chotu Kashyap. Both are admitted to Raj Hospital in Ranchi. IG (Ranchi range) Manoj Kaushik said both the injured were out of danger and they were being monitored by a panel of doctors. Authorities said they might consider shifting the duo to AIIMS Delhi on Saturday after analysing their condition overnight. West Singhbhum (Jharkhand) [India] August 8 (ANI): Two Central Reserve Police Force's CoBRA troops sustained splinter injuries on Friday morning following an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast during an anti-Maoist operation in the Saranda forest area near Jaraikela in the West Singhbhum district of injured personnel are attached to the 209 CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action) unit– a specialised elite force of the CRPF trained to tackle guerrilla warfare, jungle warfare, and insurgency operations, particularly in Left Wing Extremism (LWE) or Naxal-affected areas like Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Bihar, and to officials, the CRPF personnel sustained injuries around 11 am during a joint operation being conducted by troops of the 209 CoBRA unit and state police when the blast occurred. 'Immediate evacuation efforts were initiated, with both injured personnel being moved on foot to the Digha camp. From there, they are scheduled to be airlifted by helicopter for further medical treatment," the officials confirmed that both injured personnel are currently in stable condition. (ANI)

A press release by PRO & spokesperson of Ministry of Defence stated that the the operations led to the apprehension of 15 active insurgent cadres belonging to various valley and hill-based groups and the recovery of 69 weapons, 16 Improvised Explosive Devices, grenades, ammunition, radio sets, and other war-like stores. These also included looted service weapons, country-made arms, and explosives capable of causing mass casualties, the release added. Key recoveries were made during multiple operations in forested and high-risk areas including Dampi Ridge, Tollen, and K Geljang in Churachandpur, as well as Imphal East and West. High-value targets, including self-styled leaders of outlawed outfits like KCP, PREPAK, KYKL, and UNLF-P, were apprehended, it added. These coordinated actions underscore the firm resolve of the security forces to maintain peace and stability in the region while preventing the resurgence of insurgent activities, the release added.
