⭐️ OneFootball's MLS Player of the Week
There were plenty of standout players in Major League Soccer this week, but one man soared above the rest after guiding his team to a shock upset during Houston Dynamo's 4-3 win over San Diego FC. And that man is... Advertisement Ezequiel Ponce 📸: Image credit: © Maria Lysaker-Imagn Images Facing the Western Conference leaders away from home was always going to be a challenge for Ben Olsen's men. However, the Dynamo squad showed what it means to never say die on the pitch thanks to Ponce's last-minute heroics. The 28-year-old bagged a brace after the 87th-minute mark to help his side earn just their seventh win of the season. His first arrived from the penalty spot to turn things 3-3 before his heroics grabbed everyone's attention. With the clock nearing 100 minutes, he remained onside by mere margins and split two defenders before slipping the ball home with his left foot into the side netting. Advertisement Goalkeeper CJ dos Santos could only watch on as the ball trickled in beyond his extended reach. The result means Houston are back above the Audi MLS Cup playoffs line and San Diego suffered just their second loss at home. Talk about an impact! Feature image credit: © Abe Arredondo-Imagn Images
