PepsiCo announced as official partner of Formula 1

Formula 1 and PepsiCo has announced a multi-year agreement that will see PepsiCo become an official partner of the sport until 2030. The deal offers huge potential to both the global brands and their worldwide fans, as it joins together the thrill of motorsport with some of the powerhouse products of the PepsiCo family, including Sting Energy, Gatorade and Doritos. With Formula 1's fanbase of more than 820 million people worldwide and PepsiCo's coverage of over 200 markets, the two brands together have unrivalled opportunities to engage existing, new and diverse audiences around the world at an unprecedented scale. PepsiCo will prioritise the creation of meaningful fan engagement beyond just the race venues through exciting on-pack promotions, digital experiences, and unique content that will bring Formula 1 to an even wider audience. This partnership includes opportunities such as immersive brand experiences in Formula 1 Fan Zones and rights for limited edition, co-branded products. Sting Energy will join Formula 1 as its official energy drink, delivering the taste and refreshment of a soft drink with the energising benefits of an energy drink. As PepsiCo's flagship energy brand, Sting has seen rapid global growth across key markets such as India, Pakistan, Egypt and Vietnam. The partnership marks a powerful platform for Sting's continued expansion alongside Formula 1's global audience. Gatorade, the world's sports and isotonic drinks brand, will become the official partner of F1 Sprint, bringing its legacy of fuelling peak athletic performance to motorsport's most dynamic format from Spa-Francorchamps later this year, continuing through the events at Austin, São Paulo and Qatar. The Sprint has proved to be hugely popular among fans with TV viewership on those weekends on average ten per cent greater than a non-Sprint weekend. Doritos becomes the official savoury snack partner of Formula 1. With global activation rights, the partnership will bring Doritos to fans at every turn, whether in the stands or on the sofa. PepsiCo will also extend their partnership to F1 Academy, with further details to be announced. From 2026, PepsiCo's broader brand portfolio will become integrated into the Formula 1 ecosystem through pouring and supply at all Formula 1 Grands Prix. PepsiCo will also leverage its retail footprint to connect with F1 fans through themed packaging, point-of-sale materials and promotions. As the sport celebrates its 75th anniversary, this partnership epitomises the recent rise in its popularity and commitment to cultural engagement. The Ferrari driver wasn't feeling well and chose to take the day off to rest and recover ahead of the race weekend starting Friday. Ferrari fans have wished him quick recovery on social media. Charles Leclerc takes a day off ahead of Imola race The official X account of Scuderia Ferrari shared a statement regarding Leclerc's absence from the FIA press conference on Thursday. The statement read: 'Charles is feeling unwell and will not be coming to the track today. He will rest and focus on recovering and we expect him to be in the car tomorrow.' Some fans expressed concern about whether Leclerc would be fit in time for Friday's practice session. 'Who is the reserve driver if he can't make it this weekend?' asked one X user. Another said, 'Get well Charles, I hope he will be okay to race this weekend.' One more added, 'Charles, take plenty of rest and I wish you a speedy recovery.' Others took the opportunity to comment on Ferrari's underwhelming form this season, especially as new driver Lewis Hamilton continues to struggle with adapting to the car. Lewis Hamilton both ‘nervous' and ‘excited' for his Ferrari debut in Italy

However, the full name of the track is the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, which speaks to the importance of this race for Ferrari, and now for Hamilton. Advertisement Ahead of his first home race as a Ferrari driver, Hamilton and the team shared this video on social media, with the driver talking about his hopes and expectations for this week: 'I'm getting the feel, the love, and the desire, and the passion from every single person that Ferrari touches. It's something that I've never experienced before,' begins Hamilton. 'Coming to Italy for the first time, as a Ferrari driver, I'm both nervous and also excited. To be actually in Italy and being home with the team in their home country, I think is something that I am really, really looking forward to experiencing. 'Thank you for the welcome that you've given me, to being in the family and the team. I am incredibly honored to be a part of it. I'm working very hard to make sure that we get the results that you deserve and the team deserves, and I won't give up until I achieve that.' He secured his first win for the team in the F1 Sprint race at the Chinese Grand Prix and added a second podium in the F1 Sprint race with a P3 at the Miami Grand Prix. After placing eighth in the Miami Grand Prix — and seeming frustrated on the radio during the race — Hamilton outlined to the media, including SB Nation, just how much potential he sees in the team. 'I generally, I had a good day in general,' began Hamilton when speaking with the media after the Miami Grand Prix. 'Eighth doesn't really look like that, but I feel optimistic for the future. 'I still got that fire in my, in my belly. I can feel a little bit of it like, really coming out there, and I'm not gonna apologize for being a fighter,' added Hamilton after the Miami Grand Prix. 'I'm not gonna apologize for still wanting it. And I know everyone in the team does too. And I truly believe that when we fix some of the problems that we have with the car, we'll be back in the fight with the Mercedes, with the [Red] Bulls and it just can't come quick enough.
