The viral Dubai chocolate has a pop-up in DXB Terminal 3
The viral Dubai chocolate is calling… If you thought the FIX craze had faded, you thought wrong, because the viral Dubai chocolate is now selling exclusively at the airport, and the people are all here for it. Social media reports are telling us that this cute and colourful whimsical pop-up is located across from Cartier and is impossible to miss. That's right – FIX Chocolate is hosting an exclusive pop-up in DXB Terminal 3 after capturing the hearts and and bank accounts of travellers scouring Duty Free. The wrapped up there this April, but the heartbreak was too loud, and now they're back. View this post on Instagram A post shared by FIX Dessert Chocolatier (@fixdessertchocolatier) You might also like 5 of the best restaurants in Dubai this week: May 26 to 29 While they have a whole host of delicious flavours, a limited number are available at the airport – Can't Get Knafeh Of It, both the milk and dark versions, Pick Up A Pretzel, also the milk and dark versions, and Mind Your Own Buiscoff, the luxurious biscoff flavour. And while one may fear being faced with sold out signs, they're restocking constantly so you won't miss out. After taking social media, Dubai and then the whole world by storm, the insanely indulgent bars are still in high demand. It's no surprise the viral chocolate is near impossible to get your hands on and everyone has jumped on the bandwagon – even the royals. Earlier last year, we saw the FIX Chocolate x Fazza collaboration, a uniquely crafted, specially created Halawat Dubai flavour. Besides this iconic flavour, some of our personal favourites are Can't Get Knafeh of it, Pick Up A Pretzel and Butter To Be Safe Than Salty, all decadent bombs of flavour and sugary goodness that will send you to Nirvana. There are loads more, but these are the best Pick up a bar or two on your way out of the country for a sweet holiday – and some serious flexing rights. @fixdesertchocolatier Images: Supplied/ Socials

FIX chocolate is landing at DXB again — here's exactly when
Calling all FIX Chocolate fans: the original Dubai Chocolate bar is coming back to Dubai International Airport. Announced on the FIX Dessert Chocolatier Instagram, the viral bar that's taken over social media across the world is returning to Dubai Duty Free on Friday May 15. If you like this: Where to get the viral FIX chocolate in Dubai Earlier this year, the iconic brand opened its first pop-up at the world's busiest international airport and proved to be so popular that it had to extend its stay at Terminal 3 until the Eid Al Fitr break. And now, ahead of the Eid Al Adha holidays, Dubai's most famous export will be available for tourists once again. Offering residents and tourists a chance to buy a last-minute bar as a souvenir (or to munch on the plane), the exclusive stand is not one to be missed. In a post on Instagram, FIX said: 'When our Dubai Duty Free pop-up wrapped up in April, the DMs rolled in. 'The heartbreak, the love, we felt all of it! So we didn't waste a second. From the moment we closed, we got to work, doing everything we could to bring it back. 'Then the agents suited up. The bars were packed. The mission was clear. We're coming back to Dubai Duty Free on May 15, with a few changes in the mix.' Kitted out with the classic dessert bars, including the world-famous Catch Me If You Pecan, Can't get Knafeh of it and Pick up a Pretzel, the pop-up is a must-visit before boarding — just be ready to join the queue. The popular treat is normally only available at 2pm and 5pm every day on Deliveroo in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, so it's an opportunity to grab a bar in person. Earlier this year, it was revealed that a whopping Dhs1 million is spent on the pistachio-kunfa-filled treat every day at DXB – including knock-offs of the original. In January 2025, DXB was crowned the world's busiest international airport (again), after it recorded 60.2 million seats in 2024. Credit: FIX Choclatiers Looking at data from the entirety of 2024, aviation consultancy OAG looked at the seat and airline capacity for both domestic and international flights for airports around the globe. For further context, DXB's closest challenger for the top spot was London Heathrow which had 48.3 million international seats last year. Dubai certainly does, as our explore pages are flooded with reels of tantalising, inviting desserts, filmed from optimal angles, with drips and pours and theatrics. If you like a sugary bite, try these Instagram-worthy desserts in Dubai. FIX Chocolate Who hasn't heard of FIX Chocolate. Dubbed colloquially as the 'Dubai' chocolate, tales of it's flavour and fad have reached far and wide. Such is the force of FIX's virulent popularity – it's near impossible to get your hands on a bar, available exclusively on Deliveroo and sold out before you can think twice. The chocolatiers are crushing the game right now, riding the crest of that wave and essentially contributing to growing or raging sweet teeth everywhere. Can't Get Knafeh of it is the Instagram flavour – the baklava chocolate. @fixdessertchocolatier Chunk Bakehouse Dream Cake The Chunk Bakehouse Dream Cake is everywhere on Instagram, videos of people tap-tapping away and digging into the most luscious, intense chocolate cake. The Dream Cake is basically a cake in a tin that you just dig into straight with a spoon. Layers of sponge, cream and a hard chocolate shell – it's a whole experience. They've got an endless stream of flavours with new ones coming in for every season, but a few staple flavours are ever-present. Great to feed a crowd. @ Parker's Matilda Cake Miss Trunchbull and Bruce Bogtrotter's cake-filled saga has given birth to a Dubai desserts Instagram favourite – the Matilda Cake, found at Parker's outlets across the UAE. Videos of this massive cake slice encased in a little cardboard triangle and filled to the brim with chocolate sauce, and shots of the cardboard being lifted and the most inviting chocolate pour may be frequent on your Explore page. Bruce's chocolate smeared face is the telltale sign, perched on little stick and stuck into the slice. It looks so good – the cravings are starting to hit. @parkers Propitious Mango Ice Cream Also known as the TikTok mango ice cream. This ice cream stick took social media by storm some time last year, and has since been made available in loads of places. You'll remember the image – a mango-shaped ice cream encased in a plastic box and upon removing said box, you discover it's actually on a stick. The whole trend started from the grocery stores of Sharjah and now you can even find this at Global Village. The ice cream is originally from Korea, and features mango soft-serve covered in a shell of white chocolate and painted over to look like the fruit. The crunch of the shell leads to the creamy inside – what's not to like? Mango Sticky Rice This iconic, uber traditional Thai dessert is so wholesome and so very simple, made with only a few ingredients and enjoyed around the world. Visitors to Global Village have been raving about it, and it's gone viral on Instagram. It can be found at Coco Mango in the Floating Market in Global Village. The authentic version comes as sweet, glutinous rice, fresh mango slices and coconut milk but this Global Village version is taking it up a notch with coconut ice cream into the mix. It's the perfect, refreshing dessert for when you visit in these humid days. @ When first came to the UAE from Egypt, the lines outside the stores were truly baffling. Day or night, regardless of time, people were queueing up. One wonders, what can they possibly be serving that does that, but the social media evidence is there. Visuals of rich, luscious desserts with cream, cake, silken pours of ganaches and inviting bites – it was all over Instagram. Some of their desserts with mango and pistachio were most popular, and the economical prices mean people were falling over for a sample. @ Images: Socials > Sign up for FREE to get exclusive updates that you are interested in

There's a new 'Dubai' chocolate in town, but is it better?
More 'Dubai' chocolate coming your way… Who hasn't heard of FIX Chocolate. Dubbed colloquially as the 'Dubai' chocolate, tales of it's flavour and fad have reached far and wide, so much so that my relatives back home in India were quizzing me about it the last time I paid a visit. Such is the force of FIX's virulent popularity – it's near impossible to get your hands on a bar, available exclusively on Deliveroo and sold out before you can think twice. If you've had the fortune of trying this craze, then you are one of the blessed many. The chocolatiers are crushing the game right now, riding the crest of that wave and essentially contributing to growing or raging sweet teeth everywhere. Some of our personal favourite flavours from the bundle include Can't Get Knafeh of it , Pick Up A Pretzel and Butter To Be Safe Than Salty. BUT – there is may be a new version in town and it looks just as irresistible. Say hello to Sna'ap, a new sweet treat-toting brand that is bringing bars and bites of the stuffed chocolate to the city. Created by pastry chef Chef Noel Catis, Sna'ap is available to purchase at a pop-up at Marsa Boulevard, Dubai's newest seasonal waterfront destination at Dubai Festival City. Unlike FIX, the Sna'ap bars are smaller, square in shape, and the brand is also stocking jars of bite-sized bonbons for a limited time only. The vessel is similar to FIX, with the painted exterior and the whimsical colours, but it's reported to be crafted from ethically-sourced Cacoa-Trace certified chocolate, which seems to us as slightly more premium. Sna'ap has five different flavours in the range. We have the most trendy flavour, the pistachio kunafa, toted as Flavours of the UAE and available in milk and dark chocolate, so you have some variety – 39 per cent milk chocolate and 60 per cent dark chocolate. There is also the salted caramel rahash with sesame fudge, tahina, medjool date, salted caramel, and dark amber chocolate. The strawberry fields is for the white chocolate lovers, freeze-dried strawberries, Lotus crumble, and cheesecake essence in creamy white chocolate, and comes as a girly, milky-pink bar. The most recent launch is the ube baklava chocolate, a mix of Arabic heritage with Chef's childhood. This one has a crushed cashew baklava and ube-infused white chocolate filling. Lines have already started accumulating outside of the Sna'ap pop-up in Marsa Boulevard, which means this could be the new viral 'Dubai' chocolate. We are yet to try it and make our own comparison, but we love a good trend, and it seems Dubai does as well. Sna'ap will soon be available to purchase at beloved French restaurant and market Odeon, so you can get your hands on a bar there as well. @ Images: Supplied/Socials > Sign up for FREE to get exclusive updates that you are interested in
