"I did not pack tweezers and I have a nice black chin hair that apparently grew overnight," she began, pointing out the unwelcome visitor on her chin. She then uncapped the lip balm, before getting the hair in between the case of the product and the lid. As she did so carefully - to avoid giving herself a "blood blister" - Jenna managed to catch the hair, before closing the cap tight. "Life hack for when you don't have tweezers..." she added. "Use your @Maybelline NY baby lips lipstick. Advertisement "Chin hairs don't stand a chance around here!" The comments section was almost immediately filled with people thanking Jenna for sharing the hack. Vegan Collagen Plant-based collagen will dominate the skincare world this year, providing a sustainable, ethical alternative to traditional animal-derived collagen. Expect vegan collagen in everything from moisturisers to serums. 4. The Rise Of AI AI is revolutionising the beauty landscape, making it possible for consumers to get truly personalised skincare solutions. This year, expect to see a continued rise in demand for treatments that not only tackle hair loss but also nurture overall scalp health. "Stop it! Flipping genius. Thanks mama!" someone else gushed. While another called Jenna an "angel of my life", and added: "I will think of you and send you blessings every time I have to emergency pluck a chin hair for the rest of my life!" "Definitely gonna get caught doing this in my cubicle now, so thank you in advance," someone else laughed. Meanwhile, others used the comments section to share the other inventive ways they have managed to remove their unwanted facial hair without tweezers. Emma Louise Connolly is 'obsessed' with this colour-changing SPF moisturiser

Giving fans insight into her beauty routine before heading off to Wimbledon, Emma Louise Connolly shared she swears by this colour-changing SPF moisturiser for her natural makeup look Taking fans through her pre-Wimbledon beauty routine, Emma Louise Connolly revealed what complexion product she's been "obsessed with" for completing her summer make-up look. Emma used this Colorescience Total Protection Face Shield Flex, a viral colour-changing moisturiser that comes infused with SPF50 to seamlessly blend skincare with makeup. The Colorscience moisturiser/foundation hybrid offers protection from UV damage and provides colour-changing coverage that lets skin look and feel its best no matter the occasion this summer. The Colorescience Total Protection Face Shield Flex protects skin against UV rays and pollution, high-energy visible (HEV) blue light, and infrared radiation (IR). Its hydrating and powerful antioxidant formula fights environmental aggressors and helps prevent damage-induced ageing and photoaging. The oil-free and hypoallergenic formula contains an array of skin-loving ingredients, including niacinamide and bisabolol. These ingredients help to calm and soothe skin while supporting the skin's natural defence barrier, which can also keep skin looking young and healthy. The formula also utilises phytologist, which provides four times more hydration than hyaluronic acid and improves skin suppleness at the same time. This lightweight beauty gem works to calm redness and, thanks to its universal shade, is suitable for all skin tones and types. It's been tested to work even with sensitive skin. Changing in shade to suit your unique skin tone, this medium-coverage moisturiser applies smoothly to the skin without feeling chalky or heavy. Available at Face The Future for £39.99, this foundation/moisturiser is set to be your new go-to for natural, glowy no-makeup makeup this summer, without forgetting to use SPF on a daily basis. If you don't fancy grabbing the tinted moisturiser, Colorscience also have this SPF50 Moisturiser (£31.99 on Amazon) which offers all the same skin-loving benefits without the coverage. Or if you're after a more affordable alternative, the Glow Hub has this Defend Yourself Facial Sunscreen Tinted SPF 30 that's currently reduced to £11.20, down from £14.

Langom research station a plus for conservation

Published on: Thursday, June 26, 2025 Published on: Thu, Jun 26, 2025 Text Size: Langom Control Centre and Research Station. LAHAD DATU: The newly-opened Langom Control Centre and Research Station at the Danum Valley Conservation Area stands as testament to Sabah's commitment to biodiversity conservation and research excellence. Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said this initiative, spearheaded by Yayasan Sabah in collaboration with the State Forestry Department, aligns perfectly with creating a conducive research environment while ensuring sustainable forest management. 'I wish to reiterate the State Government's full support to conservation and research efforts such as this,' Hajiji said during the facility's opening ceremony, with his speech delivered by Deputy Chief Minister cum Works Minister Datuk Shahelmey Yahya. Hajiji expressed confidence that with multi-stakeholder support, including from the Federal Government, conservation areas like Danum Valley and the entire DaMaI (Danum Valley, Maliau Basin and Imbak Canyon) Rainforest Landscape would continue serving as global biodiversity treasures while functioning as premier research, education and conservation centres. The RM5.6 million facility was funded by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability under the 12th Malaysia Plan, supporting the Sabah Maju Jaya Development Plan's environmental conservation and sustainable development objectives. 'This initiative reflects the State Government's commitment to balance economic development with conservation of natural resources for the long-term prosperity of the people and future generations,' Hajiji said. He praised Yayasan Sabah for its outstanding stewardship of Danum Valley and similar conservation areas, noting that the organisation has elevated Sabah's international profile as a model of transparent and visionary conservation management. Strategically positioned within the Ulu Segama-Malua Forest Reserve between the Netherlands' Face The Future project site (INFAPRO) and the Danum Valley Studies Centre, the research station operates under the Sabah Forestry Department's Management Committee with Universiti Malaysia Sabah involvement. Hajiji pointed out the significance of the location, saying the surrounding restored forest demonstrates successful conservation efforts. 'Many are unaware that the forest we passed through today is a restored forest, the result of years of dedicated effort. This proves that forest restoration can succeed with vision and commitment,' he said. The facility will also serve educational purposes, supporting environmental programs conducted by the Sabah Nature Club, which has adopted several Lahad Datu schools under Yayasan Sabah Group supervision. Looking ahead, Hajiji called for increased Federal Government support, particularly through the National Conservation Trust Fund for Natural Resources and the upcoming 13th Malaysia Plan. He reaffirmed Sabah's commitment to implementing green sustainability development programs that prioritise responsible natural resource management while ensuring environmental protection, social well-being and economic growth for future generations. * Follow us on our official WhatsApp channel and Telegram for breaking news alerts and key updates! * Do you have access to the Daily Express e-paper and online exclusive news? 17 of the best sunscreens for summer 2025, from sprays to tinted

You know the drill by now. That SPF is non-negotiable. That it doesn't matter what else you're doing to your skin and how diligently you're doing it — if you're not wearing sunscreen, you may as well not bother. It sounds simple but then so many of us still fall short — a cloud in the sky being reason enough to skip it. A recent survey for the online skincare retailer Face the Future reported that almost half of people in the UK do not apply SPF daily, and only 55 per cent are aware that UVA rays are the leading cause of premature skin ageing. 'UVA rays are present all year round, they penetrate through glass and they go deeper into the skin than
