Shoppers ‘always get asked if they've had Botox' thanks to this £5 retinol cream
Looking to get youthful, radiant skin without the need for filler or Botox? Shoppers may have found the perfect, budget-friendly retinol cream that delivers Undoing signs of ageing, such as fine lines and stubborn wrinkles, may seem like an uphill battle, maybe even impossible, without spending a fortune on expensive skincare creams or treatments like Botox. But if you're looking to achieve younger, brighter and healthier skin without breaking the bank, these beauty buffs may have found the perfect, budget-friendly cream to add to your skincare routine to get that Botox-like effect for less than £10. This pore-cleansing skin cream contains a 0.02-mg concentration of vitamin A (retinol), which is set to reduce the appearance of pores while working to tighten the skin, treat acne, and diminish dark spots. This cream, which has gone viral on TikTok for its anti-ageing abilities, is designed to be used as a night cream, taking your beauty sleep to a whole new level. The anti-acne cream is touted for accelerating skin cell transformation while eliminating clogged pores and reducing acne formation. Encouraging fast cell turnover also helps stimulate collagen production under the skin, improving skin texture and erasing fine lines, reducing skin discolouration, and increasing natural radiance in the complexion. This 2% retinol pomade also works to reduce melanin production, which can help in the battle to reduce age spots and hyperpigmentation. While the enhanced collagen production diminishes the appearance of wrinkles and lines, this retinol cream leaves behind a smoother, brighter and rejuvenated complexion that looks like the hands of time have been reversed. One huge fan of this retinol cream took to TikTok to rave about its results. When asked "how many units of Botox" she had, the 36-year-old declared she "loves when people ask her this! and that she "has never gotten anything done! Zero units of Botox." Mariel then went on to say, "I don't think you understand the power of a good retinol. This product has changed my face so much." She also shared that followers have told her she looks like she's "ageing backwards." The " Botox in a tube" product she raved about is currently available on Amazon in this set. It includes two tubes of beauty buffs' favourite retinol cream for the very wallet-friendly price of £4.99. You can also pick up a three-pack for £7.99 or just the one for £2.99. If you don't mind the price tag, you can find this Retinal Supreme MultiCream over at FaceTheory for £39, or head over to Lookfantastic, where the cult-favourite Medik8 Crystal Retinal 3 Serum is up for grabs for £49.

Amazon reduces 'perfect' face mask that leaves skin 'blemish and blackhead free' to £21
Amazon has reduced the popular skincare product, dubbed "amazing" by shoppers, ahead of Prime Day 2025 Amazon has reduced an "amazing" face mask shoppers are saying "makes your skin so soft" ahead of Prime Day 2025. The massive sale, which runs from July 8 to 11, will see thousands of products discounted - but there are some already reduced in the run up to the event. The Philosophy purity exfoliating clay mask 75ml is currently reduced to £21.75, down from its original price of £29. The product is touted as an "acne treatment mask" with salicylic acid, as well as an "anti-blackhead mask." The product description reads: "Draw out impurities and shrink the look of pores with purity made simple pore mask for your face." Amazon shared a step-by-step guide to using the mask, which reads: "Gently massage mask onto clean, dry skin focusing on your t-zone and oily areas. Leave on skin for 5–10 minutes or until the clay is completely dry. "Rinse with warm water. For deeper exfoliation, increase the massage intensity when applying and while removing with water. Repeat twice a week." Alternatively, shoppers can buy FaceTheory's Double Glow Exfoliating Face & Body Scrub for £15. LookFantastic is also stocking the Beauty of Joseon Ground Rice and Honey Glow Mask for £15.50, while Boots has the No7 Total Renewal Micro-Dermabrasion Face Exfoliator, priced at £9.95. The Purity face mask has racked up a 4.6 star rating online, with many shoppers praising the results. Among them, one person said: "Perfect mask. Works as a delicate scrub and mask at the same time. Amazing product! After the first use, your pores will be clean, the skin is bright and soft." A second wrote: "Premium product which delivers first class results. Philosophy purity exfoliating clay mask 75ml acne treatment mask with salicylic acid anti-blackhead is one product that delivers on each promise the manufacturer makes. "Like all Philosophy products, this is a pure pleasure to use, and I love how I can use it as a mask as well as an exfoliator. It leaves my skin feeling soft, glowing and blemish and blackhead free after continued use and this is one product, I know I will be returning to to repeatedly. I'm happy to recommend it as a premium product which is well worth the money." However, some shoppers found issues with the mask, particularly with the price, and shared their thoughts online. One said: "There is nothing wrong with this product as such.. it's easy to apply, you only need a small amount, and it dries very quickly. It leaves your face feeling smooth afterwards. "However, I have tried plenty of other products which have achieved the same result, but they are much cheaper. This seems as good as any exfoliator or mask, and there's nothing extra to offer for the increased price." A second wrote: "Nice mask but expensive. This face mask is very lovely, it smells citrusy and feels nice on your face; but I can't get over the price!" Despite this, many shoppers continued to praise the face mask, with one saying: " Keeps your skin clear. Although this mask is expensive, it does clean out your pores and I feel like using it twice a week would be a good routine for keeping your skin clear. "I use it mostly on my nose and extend it to my chin and sometimes my forehead, but I don't tend to use it over my whole face. It's good it you time washing it off with having a shower as it's hard to get rid of all the tiny bits with a face cloth, a rinse in the shower seems to work best for me." Another added: "I am in love with this mask! I use the Philosophy Purity cleanser and this is a perfect addition to my little Philosophy family. Best exfoliator ever! It's gentle and easy to use. "Not too messy since it dries quickly and washes off cleanly. I use it twice a week and I just love the way my face feels afterwards - so clean and soft! It keeps the dead skin cells from clogging up your pores and drying your skin out, so it's good for you whether your skin is dry or oily. I was blown away the first time I used it and saw that my pores were half the size. "A small amount goes a long way if you spread it quickly and rub it all over (the massage feels very nice as there are no harsh ingredients to damage your skin). The mask is enriched with White Clay, Salicylic Acid and natural exfoliants to help to draw out dirt and impurities from deep within pores, helping to banish blackheads and prevent future breakouts."

‘Glass skin' glow-boosting lotion improves skin in four hours
This new lightweight milky lotion is already drawing praise from users for hydrating, calming and visibly improving skin in days – or even hours – and it's perfect for summer If you sometimes find that traditional face creams and moisturisers feel too rich and heavy on your skin in summer – or that your skin's feeling especially stressed or irritated – you might love this gorgeous new barrier-boosting milk, clinically proven to improve your skin in four hours. Popular skincare brand FaceTheory has just dropped its new Ectoin BarrierBuild Milk, priced at £22, a "lightweight layerable milk" containing trending ingredient ectoin, Lactobacillus ferment, upcycled oat milk and tremella mushroom. Its benefits include reducing redness, calming irritation and improving skin tone and texture, with those who have used it noticing results within days. "I have used this product for over 10 days and I can notice my skin is improved," one person wrote. "My skin can get dry, blemished or irritated depending on the weather or hormones. After starting using this product morning and evening I noticed my skin is better hydrated, softer and smoother. My skin tone is improved, no more dull skin. Redness and irritation areas are better than before. This product is light, not sticky and not heavy, my skin absorbs it easily. Definitely recommend it." "I struggle a lot with combined skin so it can go from dry to oily, this product has been a game changer," another agreed. "It's helped with my uneven skin tone in just a few days. It's light on the skin and melts in, you only need a small amount of product. My redness on my face has also gone down. And it gives me moisture but doesn't make my face oily. It's great for sensitive skin as doesn't make your skin sore or sting." "When it says it strengthens the skin in just four hours – it actually does," one person wrote. "My skin would usually feel very tight and stripped after washing but after using this it instantly helped my skin feel hydrated and silky! The only thing to improve would be the texture as it dries up really quickly. But overall – LOVE it!" FaceTheory advises that it can either be used on its own or in between other skincare. If you want to buy a full FaceTheory routine that suits sensitive skin, we recommend its HydraCleanse Rebalancing Gel Cleanser, £12, and HydraOat Soothing Daily Moisturiser, £16. If you have drier skin, you might instead prefer something like Medik8's Total Moisture Daily Facial Cream, £48 – a favourite with our beauty editor – or Skin Rocks The Moisturiser, £58.

'Saviour in a bottle' Elizabeth Arden anti-ageing cream slashed to £33
The Elizabeth Arden website is currently offering multiple ways to save on orders, with discounts and free gifts available on a wide range of products - but the deals end soon Elizabeth Arden has long been a household name when it comes to skincare, and now, fans of the premium beauty brand can snag over £80 worth of complimentary anti-ageing skincare in a flash deal. Bargain loving beauty fans can combine multiple deals to maximise savings on the brand's website - but the offer is ending soon. By merging discount codes with free gifts and samples, customers can cop themselves a significantly reduced basket of popular products. And our beauty writers have worked out the best ways to stack the deals, with one method seeing shoppers acquire more than £200 worth of products for £133 - almost 40% off. Let's break it down step by step. Running until this Sunday, June 1, there is a three for two code on the Elizabeth Arden website, which enables customers to get three products for the price of two, with the cheapest item being free. Shoppers can input the code 3FOR2 at the checkout to claim the deal, which applies to most items on the website, excluding some of the sets. But that's not all, as those who spend £100 will secure a free full-size Eight Hour Cream Hand Treatment, worth £29. This deal stack is perfect for anyone looking to enhance their skincare routine - but what are the best products to purchase to make the most of the freebies? Retinol reigns supreme in the anti-ageing realm, and Elizabeth Arden's focused line-up dedicated to the ingredient is an ideal starting point for those aiming to combat fine lines and wrinkles. Their Retinol + HPR Ceramide Rapid Skin-Renewing Water Cream, priced at £77, contributes nicely towards hitting that spending mark, earning praise as a 'potent' cream that grants 'nourished and radiant skin with a youthful bounce.'. Brimming with high-grade retinol plus advanced HPR, skin-tautening peptides, ceramides to fortify the moisture barrier, volumising hyaluronic acid, and calming botanicals, it promises to diminish wrinkles and pores within a week. Surprisingly gentle for a retinol product, it's championed as 'gentle enough for day and nighttime use', provided that an SPF is donned during daytime. In comparison, other favoured retinol offerings include The Ordinary's Retinol 1% in Squalane at £8.50, whilst Face Theory presents its Encapsulated Retinol 3% Renewing Serum for £30. And for those seeking intensified potency, Medik8's Crystal Retinal surges ahead at 11 times the strength of regular retinol, often crowned as a top-tier skincare must-have. Yet, Elizabeth Arden's offering remains firmly established in the market, as reflected by a 4.7-star rating from nearly 2,000 reviews. A satisfied customer shared: "Saviour in a bottle, if you're thinking of buying it, my advice is to do it - you absolutely won't regret it. I cannot tell you the difference in such a short time; it makes my skin feel better." Another user chimed in: " Overnight my skin looks glowing and hydrated. My skin appears tighter and I am keen to see any longer term results." However, the product's subtle fragrance may not be to everyone's liking, with one customer leaving a three-star review, stating: "The gel has the texture of a light water-based moisturiser like Avene's water gel and there is a faint floral scent that could be irritating for sensitive skin. When I used this during the day it severely dried out my skin. Which is interesting since I've been on 0.05% tretinoin for a year now. This cream for me would only be used at night." A fourth user lauded the cream's packaging, remarking: "These ones are amazing. The packaging is great - very hygienic and the right amount in for me. The results are even better - fed and plumped skin with a glowing effect. "I've been using this for a few weeks now. I use it twice a day after retinol capsule application," shared another. "Unlike other retinol creams I have no stinging, soreness or drying of the skin. Both are lovely to apply and feel very nourishing and soothing on my skin." For those looking to expand their skincare routine, they might consider complementary products such as the Retinol Ceramide Line Erasing Eye Cream, priced at £56, which promises to smooth, brighten and de-puff for younger-looking eyes, and the Retinol + HPR Ceramide Capsules Rapid Skin-Renewing Serum. The latter is available in three sizes, 30, 60 or 90 capsules, with the first costing £53 - or free as part of the three for two deal. With this specific basket, customers can apply the code 3FOR2 at checkout and the Eight Hour hand cream will appear as complimentary. They'll also have the option to select two mini samples, pushing the value over £215 - but shoppers would pay £133 and enjoy free delivery. If we exclude the mini free samples, this basket gets shoppers four full sized products at an average of £33.25 each. In other skincare deals, The Liz Earle Cleanse & Smooth Collection, worth £89, is currently £39 at Boots, making it over half price. The kit features three full-size products, ideal for those seeking a gentle yet effective skincare routine.

New retinal cream 'to rival Medik8' praised for ‘transforming skin in 2 weeks'
If you're on the hunt for a new multi-tasking skincare product that targets visible signs of ageing and dark spots, without a hefty price tag, look no further than this retinal serum The iconic skincare brand Facetheory has just launched a new multi-functional retinol cream that's sure to take over your beauty regime. Rivalling the likes of Medik8, where a similar retinal serum would retail for £45, this Retinal Supreme MultiCream is available for the more budget-friendly price of £30. Promising to banish fine lines and wrinkles, as well as dry, dull and loose skin, shoppers who have snatched up this skincare marvel have been raving about its fast and noticeable results. This serum not only targets signs of ageing, but it also works to even the skintone and minimise breakouts - all of that in one bottle, it's no wonder shoppers are flocking to buy their own. This multi-active serum and moisturiser targets all key signs of ageing in a single formula, taking over your entire skincare routine. The serum boosts collagen production, reduces lines and wrinkles, brightens, evens skin tone, smooths texture, refines pores, and deeply hydrates with six powerful ingredients. The serum features ingredients like sustained-release retinal, Granactive Retinoid, marine bio-retinol, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and vitamin C, which all work together to improve the appearance of the skin for a smoother, brighter and younger-looking complexion. More effective with less irritation; this serum is equipped with retinal that is 20x more potent than retinol. It converts directly to retinoic acid, making it less irritating to even sensitive skin. Retinal firms the skin, reduces the appearance of fine lines, stimulates collagen synthesis, and rejuvenates the skin. Retailing for £30, shoppers have been singing the praises of this new serum in the reviews section. One thrilled customer shares: "Wow! I have extremely sensitive and reactive skin lately. Dry, tight and constantly flaking around my mouth and chin. This has stopped it in one night! I woke up this morning to calmer skin, redness diminished by at least 70 percent and not a flake in sight! My skin looks a million times better! I'm about to order more to stock up as this is now something I cannot live without. Thank you Facetheory. You have saved my skin." Further adoration comes from this buyer who beams: "This is my all year round day moisturiser for the last few years, it is beautifully hydrating, brightening and works well with all the other skin care products I use . I often mix in a couple of drops of the Dewy Cacao oil to give an extra dewy glow and even more hydration. It's a staple in my skincare collection, as are many of Face Theory products." A third writes: " One of the best serum I have ever used. It light weight creamy and dissolves easily into to the skin which gives the face a silky and radiant look." And this shopper says: " It's only been a week of using it, and it's already improved my skin. Its thick consistency doesn't absorb straight away. With more massaging, it goes in. I like it; it looks and feels like no-nonsense stuff." You can pick up this retinal gem for £30 at Facetheory, or if you'd prefer to splash some cash, you can get this Medik8 Crystal Retinal serum for £36 in Lookfantastic's sale. If you're keeping to a tighter budget, check out The Ordinary Retinal 0.2% Emulsion Serum for £15.20 from Boots.
