Peacock's annual subscription is 70% off through Friday: Here are 5 shows that make it worth it

If you've always been curious about trying Peacock, the streaming platform is giving new subscribers a great deal for a limited time – from now through May 30, you can snag an annual subscription to the streamer for over 70% off the regular price. New subscribers can sign up for a full year of Peacock Premium – the platform's ad-supported tier – for just $24.99 with the code SPRINGSAVINGS. That's 70% off the regular annual price of $79.99. We love Peacock and consider it a great value considering the quality of its original shows, films and documentaries, as well as offering access to great content from NBC, Bravo and more. (If you need us, we'll be streaming the Top Chef semifinals this week.) This deal is only good through this Friday (May 30), so don't miss this chance to subscribe to Peacock at a deep discount and start watching the new season of Poker Face, the Emmy Award-winning reality competition The Traitors, movies like Wicked and Black Bag, live sports coverage including, and more. Not sure what to watch with a Peacock subscription? The platform has an extensive library of classic shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Office and Law & Order, Bravo originals like The Real Housewives franchise and Below Deck, and great movies like Wicked and The Wild Robot, and live sports, including WWE, Premier League Soccer and NFL games. Still need more options? Here are five of our favorite shows on Peacock to convince you: Actor Alan Cumming has assumed his best role yet in Peacock's original reality competition series The Traitors. The premise: Cumming has invited a group of celebrities, from reality stars to politicians and athletes, to his castle in the Scottish highlands where they'll engage in a murder mystery. Cumming secretly names some of his guests as Traitors, and night after night, the Traitors "murder" the remaining contestants, dubbed the Faithfuls, who are then eliminated from the game, while the Faithfuls have to suss out and try and eliminate the Traitors. There are alliances, there's deception, there are surprise murders – and it's tons of campy fun covered in tartan. The show is currently in the middle of its third season, but you can catch up on both of its complete previous seasons now, too. Stream on Peacock Natasha Lyonne as an amateur detective in a case-of-the-week style mystery show is great TV. In Poker Face, the show created by Knives Out director Rian Johnson, Lyonne stars as Charlie Cale, a casino employee with the uncanny ability to tell when someone is lying. She puts her skills to good use trying to solve a series of crimes, but finding herself deeper in trouble with the management at the casino where she works. Like Murder, She Wrote and Columbo before it, every episode is a who's who of celebrity guests. Season two, which just arrived this May, features appearances from Katie Holmes, Giancarlo Esposito, John Mulaney and Sam Richardson, among many others, and new episodes will drop weekly through July 10. Stream on Peacock Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser took aim at The Day of the Jackal at this year's award ceremony, saying 'Eddie Redmayne did TV this year. He's nominated for Peacock's The Day of the Jackal. It's about a top-secret elite sniper who no one can see — because he's on Peacock." Even Redmayne laughed, but don't let the show's quiet presence stop you from checking it out, it's a great crime thriller based on the 1971 novel by Frederick Forsyth. Redmayne stars alongside Moses Ingram in the assassin's cat-and-mouse game and you can binge the whole thing in one go. Stream on Peacock Thanks to a deal struck before Paramount+ even existed in its current form, five seasons of the Paramount Network's hit show Yellowstone, starring Kevin Costner as rancher John Dutton, are available on Peacock. Celebrity Traitors star teases ‘friendships went out the window' during filming

A star of the upcoming Celebrity Traitors series has said 'friendships went out the window' during the intense BBC gameshow. The hugely popular reality series, which started in 2022, sees two-dozen contestants aiming to be the last one standing in order to win a huge cash prize. Each of the show's hopefuls is chosen to be either a Faithful or a Traitor, with the identity of the three Traitors unknown to the Faithfuls at first. It's up to the Faithfuls to complete tasks and rat out the Traitors before the Traitors – if they're still in play – steal the money as a group at the end of the game. The series, based on Dutch show De Verraders, has proved to be one of the biggest new reality concepts in years and has already spawned a celebrity version. And the line-up looks absolutely stellar, including dozens of famous faces like Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross, Sir Stephen Fry, Paloma Faith, Tom Daley, Kate Garraway, and so many more. Among them is sports presenter Clare Balding, who is one of 19 faces that headed to Ardross Castle in northern Scotland to film for the series. She admitted that lots of old friendships which have withstood years in the TV and entertainment industry didn't last long once the game was underway. Want to get all the latest news and predictions for the best and most dramatic show this new year? Join our The Traitors WhatsApp channel for live episode coverage, behind-the-scenes gossip and a place to recover from all the cliffhangers. Simply click on this link, select 'Join Chat' and you're in! Don't forget to turn on notifications! Speaking to The Sun, she said: 'It is so intense, and you get completely obsessed with the game. Obviously, I knew quite a lot of them before I went in, but the friendships you had before go out the window! 'That, for me, is very challenging because I like to be friends with everyone. It's brutal, but I think I'm glad I did it. It will make good TV, and there are some really strong moments.' Alan Carr Cat Burns Celia Imrie Charlotte Church Clare Balding David Olusoga Joe Marler Joe Wilkinson Jonathan Ross Kate Garraway Lucy Beaumont Mark Bonnar Nick Mohammed Niko Omilana Paloma Faith Ruth Codd Sir Stephen Fry Tameka Empson Tom Daley However, while some friendships were cast aside, Clare has excitedly revealed that she made lots of new ones during her time filming in Ross and Cromarty. 'It was lovely to get more time to hang out with people like Stephen Fry, Celia Imrie, Charlotte Church, who's an absolute superstar, and a really cool young singer called Cat Burns.' More Trending In the interview, Clare, who has hosted horse racing and Olympics coverage for years, said she has made sure to watch all seasons of the civilian Traitors thus far. And it seems she's become a massive fan, jumping at the chance to appear on the Celebrity Traitors when the call came. 'I wanted to do it because I wanted to experience the show, and I was really lucky they said yes to letting me. I think I was one of the first ones signed up, actually, me and Stephen Fry.' The Traitors star flooded with support as he lands surprising new role on BBC's Morning Live

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info The Traitors star Jack Marriner-Brown has celebrated his first time presenting a live segment on BBC Morning Live. The 25-year-old rose to fame on the BBC murder mystery gameshow last year, but only lasted on our screens for a few short minutes after he sacrificed himself in the first episode, saving the other players by removing himself from the train to the Scottish castle. Not long later, Jack and his two fellow Faithfuls, Alexander Dragonetti and Fozia Fazil, were dangled in cages during a challenge, but Yorkshire-based market trader and landscaper Jack failed to convince the other players to save him and was ultimately banished from the game. However, Jack has found fame after his experience on the show and presented his first pre-recorded Morning Live segment in February, a month after The Traitors aired. He's now shared a clip showing off his skills on live TV, writing on Instagram: "Love to everyone involved @bbcmorninglive." (Image: BBC) His cast members rushed to support him, with Freddie Fraser writing: "Well, in bro." Tyler Smith said: "Smashing it, my bro, miss you mate." Lisa Coupland added: "This is great, Jack." Meanwhile, when the clip was shared on Reddit, several fans expressed their surprise at Jack's new role, while others urged him to be included in a future season of The Traitors. One wrote: "Good for him. Was very harshly done by in the game." Another said: "I still think he should be on season 4." (Image: PA) "I'd unironically be for bringing him back and giving him a second shot," a third said. Before his short-lived Traitors fame, Jack had previously starred in front of cameras, with fans spotting him in an ad for Luton Airport Express. In the 30-second advert, Jack was among several actors performing a rap about the benefits of the Luton Airport Express, wearing a white bucket hat and raving about the cheap cost of the train. "I have secretly trained as an actor. I moved to London when I was 18, moved away from Yorkshire, and I didn't really tell too many of my family and friends that that's what I was going to do," he had previously said, ahead of The Traitors airing. "I think I can kind of play it a little bit dumb, maybe act like the ditzy gardener and landscaper who secretly has his own agenda, and hopefully a couple of acting skills to back that up." The Traitors is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
