Miss 'Sinners' screening in Clarksdale? Now you can watch Mississippi-based movie at home

"Sinners" is now streaming. The movie, set in Clarksdale, Mississippi, features Michael B. Jordan in a double role. The horror film follows twins Smoke and Stack in the 1930s after they return from Chicago to their small town, where blues legend Robert Johnson is rumored to have sold his soul at the Devil's Crossroads to secure his talent. They start a juke joint, running into some unwelcome guests along the way. The 138-minute film was released in theaters on April 18. But Clarksdale doesn't have a movie theater. An open letter asking writer and director Ryan Coogler to arrange a screening went viral in May. He delivered. On IMAX, no less. The first of six free showings in the Mississippi community was on May 29. "For followers of (blues) and the culture, as soon as they hear Clarksdale, it has an association with the metaphysical and the supernatural … I think that kind of will help open folks' minds up to all the metaphysical stuff that's going to happen in the movie," Coogler said during a Q and A at the screening. Here's how you'll be able to watch "Sinners" from the comfort of your own home. Warner Bros. said the digital, 4K UHD and Blu-ray version of the movie will offer special features such as the making of the movie, the creation of the characters and their costumes and deleted scenes, among others. The cast of "Sinners" includes: Michael B. Jordan as twins Smoke and Stack. Miles Caton as Sammie "Preacher Boy". Jack O'Connell as Remmick. Hailee Steinfeld as Mary. Wunmi Mosaku as Annie.
