Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy hosts summer camp to discover emerging talent

15 July 2025 17:12 ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, Mother of the Nation, and with the guidance of Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, and Chairwoman of both the Abu Dhabi Ladies Club and the Al Ain Ladies Club, the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy (FBMA) has announced the launch of its annual summer camp - 'We Discover Talent' - running until July 31, 2025 at the academy's headquarters in Abu summer camp reflects the academy's continued commitment to encouraging the development of young talent and promoting physical, social, and creative growth in a supportive and engaging to girls aged 3 to 14 years and boys aged 3 to 10 years, the camp offers a comprehensive programme of sports and activities designed to activate, inspire, and empower youth during the summer will take part in a wide range of experiences including basketball, football, volleyball, karate, martial arts, zumba, entertainment programmes, educational workshops and sessions will be conducted by qualified instructors in a safe, family-friendly setting that supports both skill-building and academy has designed the camp to offer maximum flexibility for families, with registration packages available for weekly, bi-weekly, and full-month will run daily from 8:00am to 2:30pm throughout the month of July. This initiative continues to build on FBMA's strategic mission to nurture a generation that is active, confident, and equipped to embrace future opportunities, starting with foundational experiences in sports and teamwork from an early age. 10 Apr 2025 18:45 ABU DHABI (ALETIHAD)Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, and the Mother of the Nation, and the directives of Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, and Chairwoman of both the Abu Dhabi Ladies Club and the Al Ain Ladies Club, The Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy will host the 7th edition of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy International Blitz Chess on April 12, 2025, at the academy's premises in Abu Dhabi, the tournament will follow the Swiss system and consist of seven rapid FBMA's strategic commitment to promoting chess as a tool for connection, inclusion, and empowerment, this edition of the tournament underscores the values of unity and social cohesion championed by the Year of Community. With a total of Dh40,000 in cash prizes, along with trophies and medals across various categories, the championship continues to serve as a platform for nurturing talent and building community through tournament is held in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, the Abu Dhabi Chess and Mind Games Club, and sponsored by success partners E&, Global Care Hospital and Al Ain Mustafa Al Hashemi, Board Member at the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, emphasised the importance of this annual championship in encouraging wider community engagement and supporting diverse talents, he said: 'We are proud to witness continued enthusiasm and growth in participation across all age groups and categories. The tournament stands as a testament to the academy's sustained efforts over the past seven years in fostering a strong, inclusive chess culture in the UAE.'The tournament will feature several categories, including the Ladies' category, the Girls' category (consisting of ages 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, and 18), the Boys' category (consisting of ages 8, 10, and 12) and the category for People of year, the 7th edition of the tournament emphasises the participation of People of Determination (PoD) and youth players, in line with the Year of Community's focus on empowering all segments of society and fostering stronger connections through inclusive platforms. Continuing its legacy, the championship affirms FBMA's unwavering support for chess development in the UAE and beyond building a platform that empowers future generations through sport, strategy, and shared passion.
