According to the First Division Tailor Association of Sarawak, the competition is not only a stage for showcasing top-notch tailoring skills from across the country, but it is also an invaluable platform for sharing experiences, fostering innovation and advancing the industry. 'It represents the culmination of our united efforts and passion for the art of tailoring,' said the association in a statement yesterday. Hailing the 2027 event as being more than just a competition, it described the 18th Federation of Tailors Guild Malaysia Tailoring Open as a cultural convergence meant to inspire creativity and strengthen community bonds. 'We are confident that with everyone's joint commitment, the 2027 edition will become a brilliant highlight of Malaysia's fashion and garment industry.' The association also extended its heartfelt gratitude to the presidents from all states and the national committee members for their unwavering support and selfless collaboration. Sponsored by the Saudi Ministry of Investment with strategic support from the Ministry of Sports, the forum brought together over 300 delegates, including representatives from regional sports ministries, sovereign wealth funds, and private sector entities across the MENA region. Prince Khaled praised the forum organizers and sponsors for creating a platform that brought together key stakeholders from across the GCC and beyond. 'MESIF connects the regional sports ecosystem and enables meaningful collaboration across sectors,' he noted. Kuwait Olympic Committee celebrates ‘Blue Gymnastics'

KUWAIT: The Kuwait Olympic Committee held a reception for the champions of the Kuwait artistic gymnastics team to celebrate the achievement of the 'Blue Gymnastics' in the West Asian Championship for youth, juniors and girls categories. The tournament was recently held in the Jordanian capital Amman, during which Kuwaiti players won 32 medals; 17 gold, 6 silver and 9 bronze, in a new achievement for the sport of gymnastics in Kuwait. Sheikh Mubarak Faisal Al-Nawaf Al-Sabah, Vice President of the Kuwait Olympic Committee, praised the 'great results achieved by the Kuwaiti team in this international forum', stressing the committee's support for national teams and federations. Sheikh Mubarak Al-Faisal thanked the parents of the male and female players for their support, wishing more success for the heroes and heroines of the team in order to make more achievements and raise the name of Kuwait in all international forums. President of the Kuwait Gymnastics Federation, Fahad Al-Soula, thanked the President and members of the Kuwait Olympic Committee for their support of the Federation and its members, and thanked Sheikh Mubarak Al-Faisal for the good reception and welcome. He stressed that the Federation continues to develop the game and prepare and build national teams capable of competing and making achievements in the name of Kuwait in the sport of gymnastics with its technical and rhythmic sections, praising in this regard the support of parents of male and female players and their constant cooperation with the work of the Federation. Hessa Al-Sanea, member of the Board of Directors of the Federation and head of the Women's Committee, expressed her deep thanks and appreciation to the Olympic Committee for its interest in the heroes and heroines of the team and the wonderful achievement in the West Asian Championship, stressing that this achievement was not achieved easily but after great preparation and double efforts from the players, and great support and encouragement from their parents. Assistant Secretary of the Federation, Thaar Al-Shammari, appreciated the keenness of the Olympic Committee represented by Vice President Sheikh Mubarak Al-Faisal to receive and celebrate the team's delegation, stressing that this gesture encourages the players to exert more effort and give to continue making achievements in the name of Kuwait.
