Air India flight 'was doomed' without sufficient power, explains Simon Calder

First officer Clive Kunder was at the controls of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner during take-off when the crash occurred, and reportedly asked Captain Sumeet Sabharwal about the fuel switches.
The crash, which happened shortly after take-off from Ahmedabad, resulted in 241 fatalities on board and 19 on the ground, with only one passenger surviving.
