Kaizer Chiefs to buy Toaster?
No, Kaizer Chiefs aren't upgrading their kitchen facilities. They are, however, keen to reinforce the goalkeeping department. The latest reports indicate that Chiefs are open to selling Rwandan stopper Fiacre Ntwari. That leaves Bruce Bvuma and Brandon Petersen to fight for the gloves while there's potential in the untried Bontle Molefe. Nigeria and Chippa man Stanley Nwabali is a long-term option, as is the wonderfully named Toaster Nsabata from Zambia's Zesco United. Kaizer Chiefs' search for a reliable number one continues. The 29-year-old Burkinabe star has been a standout performer for Tanzanian giants Young Africans. It's understood that Rulani Mokwena played a big role in convincing the talented goal-scoring midfielder to move to Morocco. As it happens, Mokwena will leave his post at the end of the season. Kaizer Chiefs to sell their goalkeeper
Kaizer Chiefs are ready to be ruthless in the winter window. They feel now is the time to address the goalkeeping situation once and for all. According to Soccer Laduma, Chiefs will cash in on former TS Galaxy 'keeper Fiacre Ntwari. The 25-year-old Kigali-born star only made five appearances in the 2024-2025 Betway Premiership campaign. 'The club still respects Ntwari, but they are realistic about his situation,' an insider said. 'If a good offer comes and it makes sense for everyone involved, Kaizer Chiefs will consider letting him go, especially with the squad changes expected under the new technical direction,' the source added. Kaizer Chiefs open to selling African star
Kaizer Chiefs are expected to find and introduce at least one new goalkeeper before the start of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season. It's been nine months since the Rwandan international goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari joined Amakhosi from TS Galaxy. Despite a promising start at the beginning of last Spring, Ntwari has been out of the Kaizer Chiefs team since October 2024. According to Soccer Laduma, the club is considering cashing in on a sale that involves Ntwari. 'The club still respects Ntwari, but they are realistic about his situation,' an insider at Naturena told the outlet. Kaizer Chiefs to say goodbye to African star?
Kaizer Chiefs are expected to welcome one or two new goalkeepers before the start of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season. It's been nine months since the Rwandan international goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari joined Amakhosi from TS Galaxy. Despite a promising start at the beginning of last Spring, Ntwari has been out of the Kaizer Chiefs team since October 2024. According to Soccer Laduma, Ntwari is faced with a massive decision: Should he leave Amakhosi for better game time or stay on to fight for his place in the Kaizer Chiefs starting line-up? 'Chiefs is a big team, and the boy (Ntwari) knew going there that it won't be easy,' a source told Soccer Laduma. 'I'd say it's frustration (that makes him consider leaving the club), but that doesn't mean he has stopped working. And that doesn't make him a bad player suddenly,' a source close to the player told the Siya crew. 'He is being encouraged to fight for his place. He's got a long-term contract with the club,' the source added on the Amakhosi goalie. In the meantime, Kaizer Chiefs are linked with Mali international Djigui Diarra from Young Africans in Tanzania. Kaizer Chiefs look to ditch new signing with foreign suitors hovering
Kaizer Chiefs could be tempted to cash in on Fiacre Ntwari with news that he has admirers abroad. Rwanda National Team manager Adel Amrouche has confirmed French interest in Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari. The 25-year-old was a regular in the Chiefs first team when he arrived, but inopportune injuries have pushed him down the pecking order. Ntwari, who came from TS Galaxy in July 2024, has only made seven appearances for Chiefs. Click for the story Despite his struggles at club level, Ntwari has been a regular for his country during World Cup qualifiers. Ironically, Ntwari's Rwanda are in Group C of qualifiers alongside South Africa. They're sitting relatively pretty with eight points after six outings. It's not out of the question that both nations could qualify for the 2026 showpiece staged in Mexico, Canada and the United States. 25-year-old Ntwari, who stands at 1.94m tall, has 12 caps for his nation and will look to build on that as we approach a World Cup year. Click for the story Pirates have kept clean sheets in seven of their last eight matches across all competitions. The only stain on that record was the Sundowns game, which they won 2-1 anyway. If anybody can breach this staunch defensive unit, however, it's Kaizer Chiefs target Fiston Mayele. The Pyramids FC man has an exemplary record in the Champions League, with six goals in 10 outings this term. Overall, he's scored 19 times in 34 appearances in Africa's premier club competition. Pyramids vs Pirates in the semi-final second leg kicks off on Friday, 25 April at 20:00. It's delicately poised after a 0-0 draw in the first encounter.
