The city is setting an ambitious target: 200 new large family offices by the end of 2025, on top of the 2,700 already in place as of late 2023. The government is pulling key levers to get there, from hosting its third high-profile Wealth for Good Summit on March 26, to easing capital investment visa rules and floating fresh tax perks for family offices.

Bangkok Airways Seeks 30 New Jets as White Lotus Boosts Tourism
By , Danny Lee, and Filipe Pacheco Save Bangkok Airways Pcl is gearing up to order as many as 30 new aircraft as it renews its aging fleet and plans for a tourism boost driven by the popularity of television series the White Lotus. The mid-sized Thai carrier plans to tap planemakers Airbus SE, Boeing Co. and Embraer SA for at least 20 single-aisle jets in the first half of the year, with options to order about 10 more, said Chief Executive Officer Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth. Its goal is to grow its fleet to at least 30 jets in the next four to five years, including the lease of some aircraft, he said.

Thai Hotelier Plans US Expansion to Cash In on White Lotus Craze
By and Filipe Pacheco Save Minor International Pcl, whose hotels in Thailand feature in the hit series White Lotus, plans to expand in the US to cash in on the newfound global fame that's seen room bookings skyrocket since the show began airing last month. Already one of Asia's largest hospitality groups, Minor will aim to open one Anantara hotel — its flagship luxury brand — in the US by early next year, said the company's founder Bill Heinecke. A strong following of The White Lotus has changed the company's view toward the competitive American market, where it only has one hotel through NH Hotel Group SA, which it acquired in 2018, he said.
