Albania Star To Leave Inter Milan This Summer – Not Standing In The Way Of Transfer Despite Reports
Albania Star To Leave Inter Milan This Summer – Not Standing In The Way Of Transfer Despite Reports Midfielder Kristjan Asllani is set to leave Inter Milan this summer, and isn't standing in the way of a transfer despite rumours. This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews. They report that the reason the Albanian has yet to leave is related to the price tag of a move rather than the player refusing offers. Advertisement Inter midfielder Kristjan Asllani has been strongly linked with an exit this summer transfer window. However, things have yet to really get moving as far as a potential transfer for the 23-year-old. Asllani has been the subject of the interest of a few clubs. Fiorentina and Bologna have emerged as potential suitors within Serie A. And La Liga side Real Betis are also keen. Kristjan Asllani Hasn't Rejected Inter Milan Departure VENICE, ITALY – JANUARY 12: Kristjan Asllani of FC Internazionale controls the ball during the Serie A match between Venezia and FC Internazionale at Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo on January 12, 2025 in Venice, Italy. (Photo by) Advertisement There have been persistent rumours that Asllani has been digging in his heels and rejecting a move away from Inter. The Gazzetta dello Sport reported as much earlier today. Specifically, Asllani has reportedly been less than enthusiastic on a move away from Serie A. Therefore, the Albanian international has been reported to have turned down a move to Betis. According to FCInterNews, however, Betis haven't come close to meeting Inter's asking price for Asllani. The Andalusian are hoping to sign Asllani for a fee of around €10 million. Meanwhile, Inter want €18-20 million, or €15-16 million plus a sell-on fee. Advertisement Therefore, FCIN report, that is the real reason why Asllani hasn't left Inter. Meanwhile, other interested clubs like Fiorentina and Bologna have not made a sufficient offer for Asllani. Therefore, FCIN report, Inter will wait patiently for offers for Asllani. But they are not going to force the former Empoli midfielder out the door for a cut price fee, the outlet anticipate.

Report – Why Inter Milan Unable To Sell Three Out-Of-Favor Stars
Inter Milan put fringe stars Mehdi Taremi, Kristjan Asllani, and Sebastiano Esposito up for sale weeks ago. According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the club's high asking prices have deterred potential suitors. It's no secret that Cristian Chivu's men are working to offload several out-of-favor players. Furthermore, they've already compiled a list. Kristjan Asllani sits at the top, yet Inter's €18 million valuation already blew Fiorentina out of the water. Why Inter Milan Cannot Sell Mehdi Taremi, Kristjan Asllani & Sebastiano Esposito Before Inter's demands scared Fiorentina off, Asllani turned down a chance to sign for Real Betis. Therefore, his situation at San Siro remains complicated. Furthermore, Inter are eager to part ways with Mehdi Taremi after just one year. However, the Iranian's €3m-a-year salary has put off Porto. Only a handful of teams are willing to meet the 33-year-old's wages. Indeed, Besiktas, Fulham, and West Ham United are the most realistic options for Taremi. On top of that, the veteran striker commands an €8m price tag. Finally, Sebastiano Esposito has entered the final year of his contract at San Siro.

David de Gea lays down challenge to Man Utd transfer target - 'It isn't enough'
Fiorentina striker Moise Kean has enjoyed a stellar season, which has caught Manchester United's attention, and David de Gea has called on the Italian to continue producing Fiorentina frontman Moise Kean has been told "one good year isn't enough" after excelling in Serie A - which has attracted the attention of Manchester United. The Italian has endured some less memorable stints in his career, previously struggling to make an impact during his time at Everton. The Toffees signed Kean from Juventus and then sold him back there after he couldn't deliver consistently. Now he's proving his worth after finding a home in Florence. Last term Kean scored a career high 25 goals in 44 games and was named in the Serie A Team of the Season. Interest in him bloomed when it emerged he had a £44.5m release contract in his contract - but the deadline to activate it has reportedly passed. United are looking to bolster their forward line and want a No 9 to compliment new arrivals Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo. They've also been linked with the likes of Nicolas Jackson at Chelsea and RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko. Kean is among those names on their shortlist but ex-United star David de Gea has told his new team-mate that his stellar season in front of goal cannot be a one off and he must replicate his numbers. De Gea told Italian outlet Cronache: "When I arrived, my Italian was terrible and we spoke in English. Now I've improved and I communicate with him [Kean] more easily. He had an excellent season, but now for me he needs to have another good year, and then another, and so on. "One good year isn't enough, he needs to continue like this and build on what he's done. He's put in some very good numbers, but he needs to keep it up and prove he can do it over time." De Gea has revealed he would never have stayed to play in England if it wasn't for United despite his contract being allowed to run down before leaving in 2023. The Spaniard spent more than a decade in Manchester before finding a new home in Italy. He said: "I only wanted Manchester United, and while it's true that I received offers from England, I knew it would be impossible for me to play anywhere else. I've spent my whole life there, it's the club that shaped me and allowed me to have a wonderful career. Football is like that, unexpected things happen. Like the opportunity to come here to Florence."

David de Gea opens up on incredible failed transfer to Real Madrid
Former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has commented on his sensational failed move to Real Madrid in the summer of 2015. United icon De Gea joined United from Atletico Madrid in 2011 and played 545 games for the Red Devils before leaving in the summer of 2023. He is seventh on the list of all-time appearance makers for the club and he is the non-British player with the most matches played for United. The Spaniard impressed in the Red Devils' shirt, making numerous incredible reflex saves and winning the Premier League, FA Cup, Europa League and Carabao cup twice. It could have been so different De Gea's story could have been very different though as he was on the cusp of signing for Real Madrid in the summer of 2015 on deadline day. In the final hours of the window, United agreed a deal with Real Madrid that would see Keylor Navis move to Old Trafford in exchange. Nonetheless, the necessary documents never made it on time as there was incredibly a problem with the fax machine sending the paperwork and the deal never happened due to the missed deadline. Speaking to Italian media Cronache Di Spogliatoio (via the now Fiorentina keeper gave his two cents on the matter. He stated, 'my failed transfer to Real Madrid? At the end of my career, I will talk about what happened. In the end, it didn't happen and I think some things happen for a reason.' The Spaniard added, 'I stayed in Manchester and I was happy.' Missed opportunity Whilst United fans will be grateful the Spain international ended up staying so long at Old Trafford, there may be a tinge of regret for De Gea. The Red Devils did win some trophies during his time at the club but their achievements pale into insignificance in comparison to Madrid who would win the Champions League in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2022 and 2024. David de Gea sends message to 'excellent' Man Utd transfer target
Manchester United hero David de Gea is full of praise for one of his Fiorentina teammates, who has emerged as a top transfer target for the Red Devils. After securing the signings of forwards Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, Ruben Amorim's next priority is to buy at least one new striker. Marcus Rashford is joining Barcelona, Rasmus Hojlund is woefully out of from and Chido Obi Martin is not ready to play such an active first-team role. United have an interest in a number of No.9s including Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson, RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko and PSG's Randal Kolo Muani. Another they have been linked with is Moise Kean who previously spent three years at Everton following a £24million move. The transfer proved to be a disaster however, as the Italian scored just four goals in 39 appearances before being sold back to Juventus, who in turn sold him to Fiorentina last summer. This move proved to be a great one however, as Kean scored a career high 25 goals in 44 games and was named in the Serie A Team of the Season. Off the back of this success, there has been much interest in the 25-year-old, who has a £44.5m release contract in his contract but it is believed that the deadline to activate it has passed. Among Kean's admirers is De Gea, who also moved to Florence last summer following a year out of the game after he was controversially released by then-United boss Erik ten Hag. The goalkeeper says he has a 'very good' relationship with the striker but has urged him not to rest on his laurels if he wants to become one if the best goal-scorers around. Appearances: 44 Goals: 25 Minutes per goal: 140 Assists: 3 Yellow cards: 10 'When I arrived, my Italian was terrible and we spoke in English. Now I've improved and I communicate with him [Kean] more easily,' De Gea told Italian outlet Cronache. 'He had an excellent season, but now for me he needs to have another good year, and then another, and so on. One good year isn't enough, he needs to continue like this and build on what he's done. 'He's put in some very good numbers, but he needs to keep it up and prove he can do it over time.' Addressing his future, Kean suggested in July that his priority is to stay in Florence for the upcoming season: 'I'm very motivated to move forward. Fiorentina has given me so much and has always supported me. 'Now it's important to return with renewed motivation and give my best for Fiorentina.' De Gea, spent 12 years at Old Trafford and has now revealed that during his sabbatical he had the chance to sign for a Premier League club but declined out of loyalty to the Red Devils. More Trending 'The fans still write to me. I spent so many years there, it's my home. I would have stayed there forever,' he added. 'I turned down offers from England because after spending so many years at a club like United, you feel like you don't want to play for another club in England. 'I only wanted Manchester United, and while it's true that I received offers from England, I knew it would be impossible for me to play anywhere else.
