Amazon's Fire TV Omni QLED Series is back down to its Prime Day low

Finding a quality budget TV isn't as hard as it used to be, with numerous deals happening throughout the year. Case in point, the 65-inch configuration of Amazon's Fire TV Omni QLED Series is back down to its Prime Day low of $449.99 ($270 off). The discount makes it cheaper than the starting price of the smaller 55-inch model. Amazon's Fire TV Omni QLED features built-in microphones for Alexa commands, low input lag, and support for two-way video calling with a compatible webcam. It also provides access to Netflix, Prime Video, Disney Plus, and most major streaming services. The Fire TV Omni QLED Series sits above Amazon's standard Fire TV Omni Series and 4-Series sets, but it's not quite as advanced as the newer Omni Mini-LED Series. It features a 4K resolution and uses a layer of quantum dots to improve aspects like color accuracy and brightness. It also supports full-array local dimming, offering better backlighting and contrast than an edge-lit set. The technology also helps reduce blooming, which is that annoying glow of light around bright objects on dark backgrounds. Both of these technologies can have a big impact on overall image quality when watching movies and playing games. There are three HDMI 2.0 ports and one HDMI 2.1 port with eARC. While the TV features a 4K panel, its refresh rate tops out at 60Hz. That means you won't get to enjoy the smoother animations offered by 120Hz, which is supported by current generation consoles. That said, the TV offers support for advanced HDR formats and boasts a built-in sensor that automatically optimizes the brightness based on the ambient light in your room. Additionally, the Fire TV Omni QLED Series features Amazon's ambient experience. This turns the TV into a canvas for displaying over 2,000 works of fine art and photography, personal photos, and helpful Alexa widgets. Speaking of Alexa, the TV has integrated microphones (with an on/off switch) that offers hands-free control, making it easy to set timers, check sports scores, and turn on your favorite movie. You can also bring up a live camera feed from your home security system when someone approaches your front door. I'm not joking when I say that this 65-inch OLED TV is just $799 right now

I've been covering TVs for over ten years, so I've seen my fair share of killer TV deals. But the one that crossed my desk this morning might be the best OLED TV deal I've ever seen. The 65-inch Panasonic Z85A OLED TV is just $799 at BuyDig when the promo code 'HEAT" is applied at checkout. That's an absurdly good deal on an 65-inch OLED TV — but it's probably not going to stick around for long. Here's what you need to know. The Panasonic Z85A offers the built-in benefits of OLED display technology in a stylish package. It's packed with features for gaming, streaming and more, and folks with Alexa-centric smart home devices are set to make the most out of the Z85A's built-in Fire TV features. Note: In order to unlock the $799 sale price, you just need to plug in the promo code "HEAT" at checkout. Price check: $997 at Amazon First, let's talk about BuyDig. When you head over to the listing, you'll notice that the Z85A's sale price is $997. Setting aside the fact that this is already a sweet sale price, you'll have to add the Z85A to your cart and apply the 'HEAT' promo code at the checkout screen in order to unlock the $799 price tag. BuyDig is a reputable online shop based out of New Jersey. I recommend taking advantage of BuyDig's discount, because as far as I can tell, you won't get the Z85A cheaper anywhere else. Now, onto the TV itself. The Z85A delivers the incredible contrast we've come to expect from this impressive display technology. The Z85A is the most affordable OLED TV in Panasonic's portfolio following the brand's celebrated return to the US market in 2024. It sits below the Panasonic Z95A in the lineup but shares many of the same features and performance attributes. As an OLED TV, the Z85A delivers the incredible contrast we've come to expect from this impressive display technology. With millions of self-lit pixels in place of a traditional backlight, the Z85A is capable of perfect black levels and eliminates light bloom altogether. The Z85A isn't as bright as higher-end OLED TVs, but thanks to the naturally high-contrast nature of OLED displays, this relatively modest level of brightness is more impactful than it is on a traditional LED TV. You're getting a decent spread of gaming features, too: a pair of HDMI 2.1 inputs, support for 4K gaming at 120Hz, FreeSync Premium support and G-Sync compatibility. Dolby Vision is along for the ride, too. Before you take advantage of this deal, take note: The Z85A is a Fire TV, meaning it leverages Amazon's Fire TV operating system when it comes to its built-in streaming features. Fire TV supports a wide range of streaming apps and services, but it's not our favorite software suite due to its cluttered user interface and somewhat sluggish performance. It does offer nifty smart home integration for Alexa-wired households, though, which you may or may not find useful. Here's the deal: If you don't want to deal with Fire TV, just plug one of the best streaming devices into the Z85A and call it a day. This is a $799, 65-inch OLED TV from a terrific brand — it doesn't get much better than this.

If you're looking to upgrade your TV for the new school year, the Fire 50" 4-Series 4K Smart TV is just $289. Want something a little larger? The Fire 65" Omni Mini-LED QLED Series TV is $959. Below, I've picked out the best Fire TV deals worth grabbing ahead of back to school. Keep scrolling to check them out. For more ways to save, take a look at the best streaming service deals for students. The standard Fire TV Stick is no more. It's now the Fire TV Stick HD and at just $24 it's a bargain. If you don't have a 4K television, it's the ideal choice offering access to all your favorite streaming services and a voice-controlled remote. We'd still advise most people to opt for the 4K Max model, but if you don't have a 4K TV this is the streaming stick for you. The Alexa Voice Remote Pro is a nice little upgrade for Fire TV users who want a few extra features. It has backlit buttons that light up in the dark, two customizable shortcut buttons, and even a remote finder in case it goes missing. It also supports voice control and can handle your TV's power and volume. The new Fire TV Stick 4K (2024) sports an upgraded 1.7GHz quad-core processor that's 30% more powerful than the previous model. In our Amazon Fire TV stick 4K review, we praised its 4K video quality for a budget price. Features include Dolby Vision/HDR10/HDR10+/HLG support, Wi-Fi 6 support and a Live TV guide button on the remote. You also get Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby Atmos support to improve your streaming audio. This compact streaming stick offers smooth 4K HDR playback with Dolby Vision, a powerful quad-core processor, and next‑gen Wi‑Fi 6E support. It's perfect for upgrading older TVs and improving load times. Ideal for users who want solid streaming performance without complexity. We rank it as Amazon's best streaming stick right now. The Fire TV Cube is Amazon's most powerful streamer, driven by an octa-core processor that's about twice as fast as the Fire TV Stick 4K Max. It supports 4K with Dolby Vision and Atmos, Wi‑Fi 6E, and hands‑free Alexa in all directions. A built‑in HDMI‑in port lets you control a cable box, console, or webcam via voice. If you don't need 4K resolution, this 2-Series is a budget smart TV with 1080p resolution and support for HDR 10, HLG, and Dolby Digital Audio. The included Fire TV Alexa Voice Remote lets you find your favorite content, get sports scores, control smart home devices, and more with the sound of your voice. This 50-inch model delivers crisp 4K UHD picture quality with support for HDR10 and HLG, enhancing color and contrast for a vivid viewing experience. Running on Fire TV OS, it offers easy access to all your favorite streaming apps and Alexa voice controls built right into the remote. Multiple HDMI and USB ports make connecting devices simple, perfect for a versatile home setup. Save nearly 40% on Fire TV's 65" Omni Series. It features Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support, in addition to Alexa integration for hands-free prompts. You also have access to all of your favorite content at a clip thanks to the Amazon Fire platform. In our Amazon Fire TV Omni review, we said the TV is a solid pick for anyone who wants to stick within Amazon's ecosystem. Announced in November 2024, this is Amazon's first Mini-LED TV. It features a 144Hz refresh rate in tandem with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support to give gamers ample juice for fast-paced games. The TV also has an Ambient Experience feature, so when it's powered off it displays dynamic artwork. This is also the first Amazon Fire TV to support Dolby Atmos audio. A compact 2.0‑channel soundbar that delivers a noticeable upgrade over most TV speakers. It's simple to set up and supports Dolby Audio, DTS Virtual: X, and EQ modes for movie, music, and dialogue. It won't shake the room, but for under $100 right now, Amazon's soundbar is a straightforward, fuss‑free audio boost. This 3.1-channel soundbar delivers immersive audio with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support. It features a wireless subwoofer for deep bass and clear dialogue. The soundbar is easy to set up and compatible with Fire TV streaming devices and smart TVs. It's available in various configurations, including options with additional surround speakers for a full 5.1-channel setup.

Smart Fire TV Costs Less Than AirPods? The Insignia 40″ F40 Series Is Practically Free for a Limited Time

While it's nice to spend an absurd amount of money on a TV, sometimes that's not what you need. Sometimes you just need a TV that'll get the job done, and ideally while still looking good. Maybe you're someone who likes to shop with budget in mind, maybe you're buying it for your kids, or maybe it's just a second TV for the kitchen. No matter what the reasoning is, we've found an amazing deal on one today. Amazon currently has an amazing deal on which means you can get this Insignia 40-inch F40 Full HD Smart Fire TV for just $100. That's 33% off the standard price, and means that this TV is an exceptional deal. We're not expecting this one to stick around for very long though, so make sure you get on this quickly. See at Amazon You'd expect this TV to be terrible for the price, but it's very much not. The 40-inch TV still boasts full HD resolution, which means it's 1920 x 1080, and because the screen isn't oversized, it means that your favorite TV shows, films, and games will still look amazing. Along with that, it has DTS Virtual-X Sound, which helps make the most of the speaker to create a more immersive soundscape. It's still got most of the modern-day smart features as well. That means you get access to loads of different apps, and you can easily switch between all of your favorite streaming services. It makes it simple to explore whatever you might want to watch, and you can control it all using the Alexa Voice Control as well, which is great when you need to keep your hands free for anything else. If you are getting it for your kids, you can also kit it out with some great parental controls, which will be a big chunk of peace of mind if you're trying to keep your kids away from things they shouldn't be seeing. It can be tricky to manage things like that sometimes, so this TV making it easier should be a big load off. Frankly, even if you did pay full price for this TV and get it for $150, you'd still be getting a lot of bang for your buck, so, being able to get it for $100 instead is great. Limited-time deals on Amazon don't last very long though, so if you do want to pick this up, then be quick about it or you might miss out. See at Amazon

This can't be real! Amazon just slashed this 55-inch Panasonic Mini-LED TV by $800

Although Prime Day is long in the rearview, there are tons of amazing TV deals to nab on OLEDs and Mini-LED TVs. If you're in the market for a budget model with tons of flare, I think I've found the perfect match. Right now, you can get the 55-inch Panasonic W95A Mini-LED TV for $447 at Amazon. That's an incredible deal on a display we rated highly last year, knocking this 144Hz Mini-LED TV to under $500 from a starting price of $1,299! (Make sure to check out our guide to the best TV deals for more sales). Released mere months ago, the new Panasonic W95A is a real looker. It leverages a 144Hz refresh rate on a design that features two HDMI 2.1 ports and AMD FreeSync compatibility. It also comes equipped with the range of HDR certifications and it even has an ATSC 3.0 tuner so you're NextGenTV ready. 65" @ $59775" @ $697 You don't see a deal like this everyday, especially on a screen with such incredible performance gains over cheaper rivals like Hisense and TCL. In fact, that was one of my biggest cons in reviewing the Panasonic W95A Mini-LED TV; its pricing left a lot to be desired against the competition, which isn't quite the case anymore. The W95A is not only a gamer's dream come true, with four HDMI 2.1 ports and a 144Hz refresh rate, but is home to a slew of HDR support. One of the things I loved the most about this TV was its color accuracy and motion control. It was perfect for watching everything from the US Open to Yankees highlights. Another aspect that a lot of alternative TVs get wrong is its use of an anti-glare coating. I live in a sun-drenched apartment and while most TVs are subject to debilitating glare, the W95A worked against it like a charm. It's all thanks to its anti-glare coating, which kept most reflections at bay. While the Q95A might be held back by some trivial things, like middling audio and its reliance on Fire TV, these setbacks can be amended with one of the best soundbars and the Google TV Streamer. Still, you might want to stick with Fire TV, given its access to cloud gaming services and the potential addition of Alexa Plus in the future. It's important to note this is a 2024 model, though, so if you're wanting something newer, you'll probably have to spend a tad more. While the rest of the Panasonic W95A range is discounted, its 85-inch model is only available from third parties on Amazon. So, if you're in the market for a big-screen TV, might I suggest this 85-inch Samsung model that's $1,200 off at Best Buy.
