Man wins $677K playing Club Keno, breaking Kalamazoo record
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A record set in Kalamazoo for the largest Club Keno The Jack prize has been broken.
A man was at a bar in Wayne County when he decided to play the popular restaurant and bar lottery game.
'I don't usually play The Jack, but when I saw how high it had gotten I decided I better give it a shot,' the 54-year-old man, who chose to remain anonymous, said in a Michigan Lottery release.

When he matched nine of the winning numbers and won the record-breaking $677,141 prize, he said he had to leave the bar.
'When I checked the ticket on my phone and saw I won, I immediately left the bar. It was overwhelming and emotional to win such a huge amount of money,' he said.
He said he's going to use the winnings to go on vacation and work on some home renovation projects, and will invest the rest.
The win breaks the record for the largest Club Keno The Jack prize. The previous record was set in August 2023, when someone at Fletcher's Pub in Kalamazoo won a $503,254 prize.
The odds of winning the lottery are slim. For example, there's a 1 in 302.6 million chance of winning the Mega Millions jackpot and a 1 in 292.2 million chance of winning the Powerball.
