Award-Winning Folk Rockers Stun Crowd With Surprise Taylor Swift Cover
Award-Winning Folk Rockers Stun Crowd With Surprise Taylor Swift Cover originally appeared on Parade. When it comes to fandoms, Swifties are very particular about Taylor Swift covers. After all, who could compete with the original? Well, as it turns out, Mumford & Sons can! On Tuesday, July 22, the popular folk rock band, consisting of Marcus Mumford, Ben Lovett, Ted Dwane, and Chris Maas, performed an incredible cover of Swift's "Cowboy Like Me." The concert was held at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre in Colorado, and fans couldn't help but share the magical moment on social media. Taking to TikTok, one user uploaded a video, calling it "a religious experience." "I would have died dead," one person replied. "My dream date ... cute," added another, referencing a popular line from the last season of Love Island USA. "Oh my God, I would be crying and screaming," a third user chimed in, while a fourth echoed, "I WOULD HAVE BEEN SOBBING." Bob Dylan, 83, Stuns Fans Singing Beloved Hit Song for First Time in 15 Years
One of the most singular figures in all of music history is folk rock legend Bob Dylan. Dylan has led one of the most storied careers in all of music, starting with his cross country trip to New York City to cement himself into the folk music scene of Greenwich Village, to becoming a countercultural symbol with his foray into electric music, to his country music reclusive era in Woodstock, all the way through gospel periods, returns to form, jazz covers, and today, where he's still touring. Anyone who has attended one of Dylan's shows and is the least bit familiar with his personality knows that you're getting a surprise with every show. The Nobel prize winner tends to avoid his biggest hits at concerts, more performing what he wants to. That's what makes this video very surprising. For the first time in 15 years, Dylan performed "Mr. Tambourine Man" for a crowd in Phoenix on May 13. This is no doubt one of his most covered and celebrated songs, and he's performing it for the first time in 15 year! Fans were elated, leaving reactions in the comments below. "Sounds pretty damn close to the original arrangement. Amazing." "Can't believe how good he is sounding these days. This is crazy good.""So glad he is going back to his classics. He sounds great. Folks, he is 83. And he is one of the most important musicians of the past century." The show the song was performed at kicked off his Outlaw Festival tour with Willie Nelson. It's a great show that I myself had the pleasure of seeing last year. I think it's safe to say that music fans are lucky Dylan is still around and performing. 🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬
