SINGAPORE – A batch of frozen ice tubes from South Korea has been recalled due to the potential presence of undeclared milk allergen, said the Singapore Food Agency (SFA).
In a statement on May 16, SFA said that it initiated the recall of Bi nggrae Power Cap Watermelon Flavoured Ice Tube following a notification by the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries.
The affected product comes in 130ml, with the best before date of Nov 6, 2026, and batch code 20241107 – 20261106 F1.
The agency has directed the local importer, F&N Creameries, to recall the product. This is ongoing.
While milk is generally safe for the broader population, it can cause adverse allergic reactions in individuals who are intolerant of, or allergic to, milk.
Under Singapore's Food Regulations, all ingredients known to cause hypersensitivity must be clearly declared on food packaging labels to protect consumers with allergies.
Consumers who are allergic to milk are advised not to consume the affected product. Those who have already done so and are experiencing health concerns should seek medical advice.
