Telangana marks 11 years of statehood with pride
HYDERABAD : Asserting that other parties are doomed and have no future in Telangana, IT Minister D Sridhar Babu stated that the Congress is gaining strength in the state, with dedicated workers present in every village. He was speaking at the Telangana Formation Day event in Karimnagar on Monday. Sridhar criticised the BRS and BJP for politicising the notices issued by the PC Ghose commission set up to detect financial irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project and conspiring against the Congress. He described Congress as a party that represents all castes, calling it the 'people's party'. Grandeur at Parade Grounds Nizamabad celebrated Formation Day on a grand scale at the Police Parade Ground. Government departments in the district showcased their services through specially decorated vehicles. Police officers and staff who rendered meritorious service were presented with certificates of appreciation. In Kamareddy, the celebrations were held at the IDOC. Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Patel Ramesh Reddy attended the event. He stated that the government is committed to developing world-class infrastructure and delivering high-quality services to citizens.

$3 trillion economy goal for Telangana by 2047 when India turns 100, says CM A Revanth Reddy
Telangana CM A Revanth Reddy HYDERABAD: On the occasion of the 11th Telangana Formation Day on Monday, chief minister A Revanth Reddy set a new target of making the state a $3 trillion economy by 2047 and increasing its contribution to the GDP from 5% to 10%. Speaking at the Formation Day celebrations at Parade Grounds, the CM presented the progress report of the 16-month-old Congress govt and sought the cooperation of all political parties, bureaucracy, industrialists and all sections in the state to make Telangana number one in the country. He said the state govt was working in mission mode to ensure that Telangana plays a pivotal role in developing India into a $30 trillion economy by 2047 when the country would celebrate its Independence centenary. "As part of it, the Telangana Rising 2047 action plan has been prepared to turn the state into a $1 trillion economy in the next 10 years and $3 trillion by 2047. The govt has plans to not only develop Telangana as the number one state in the country but also make it capable of competing with the world," the CM said. While sharing several achievements of the state govt such as Rs 20,600 crore crop loan waiver for farmers, nearly 60,000 govt and one lakh private jobs for the unemployed and other welfare schemes, the CM referred to the apolitical stand of the Congress govt in Telangana for the country by extending full support to the Centre and the armed forces during Operation Sindoor.

The ceremony began with each of the contestants invited to share their reflections on their month-long stay in the State. representing Thailand, expressed deep gratitude for the hospitality extended by Telangana and spoke fondly of her experience. Continental winner from Africa Miss Ethiopia Hasset Dereje, the first runner-up, echoed the sentiment, describing Telangana as her home for the past month. Second runner-up and Continental winner from Europe Miss Poland Maja Klajda, visiting India for the first time, called the experience unforgettable. 'Telangana is full of celebrations, traditions and, most of all, beautiful people,' she said, asserting that it would not be her last visit. Continental winner from the Americas Miss Brazil Jéssica Pedroso, third runner-up, reflected on India's diversity and the unity she witnessed in Telangana. 'I have learned something very special here: despite our differences, we can be united. Telangana has shown us that diversity is a strength,' she said. Continental winners from Caribbean Miss Martinique Aurélie Joachim called her visit a dream come true, while Miss Philippines Krishnah Gravidez, representing Asia, celebrated the State's resilience and sense of community. Miss Australia Jasmine Stringer, representing Oceania, lauded the hospitality and vowed to spread the story of Telangana's warmth across the globe. Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, addressing the gathering, said the event was a reflection of Telangana's inclusive spirit and deep-rooted cultural ethos. 'Telangana is a place where everyone feels they belong. It is a shining example of how development and heritage can go hand in hand.' He noted that the Miss World delegates had explored historic and modern landmarks across the State, from the Ramappa and Thousand Pillar Temples to the dynamic tech hub of Hitech City. Highlighting the evening's eco-conscious touch, the Governor drew attention to the leaf plates used for serving high tea, handcrafted by tribal communities. Marking 11 years since its hard-won Statehood, Telangana celebrated its Formation Day on Monday with ceremonies that honoured the past and showcased the State's spirit. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy led the tributes, laying flowers at the Martyrs' Memorial in Gun Park, Hyderabad, in memory of those who sacrificed their lives for the cause of a separate State. He later presided over the official celebrations at Parade Ground in Secunderabad, which reflected the pride, resilience and cultural vibrancy of Telangana and its people. Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president and MLC B. Mahesh Kumar Goud also paid homage at the Martyrs' Memorial in Gun Park, urging the youth to draw inspiration from the ideals of martyrs. The state govt has already inked agreements with companies for more than Rs 3 lakh crore investments. IT giants such as Google, Microsoft, Cognizant, and HCL were already expanding their operations in Hyderabad, he said, adding that this was the first step under 'Telangana Rising' project. "Plans are in the pipeline to develop Hyderabad on a par with other developed metros in the world. A Future City is also being developed in 30,000 acres with state-of-the-art facilities which will be a destination for investments from around the world. AI City, Pharma City, Sports City, Life Sciences and Health City are also being developed," he said. They include Ande Sri, Aekka Yadagiri Rao, Suddala Ashok Teja, Jayaraju, Pasham Yadagiri, Goreti Venkanna, and posthumously to balladeer Gaddar, Bandi Yadagiri and Guda Anjaiah. The awards of Gaddar and Anjaiah were collected by their families, while there was no one present from Yadagiri's family. Venkanna's award was received by his daughter as he is on a foreign tour. The prestigious Kaloji Sahitya Puraskaram was presented to Nalimela Bhaskar. As many as 19 police officers were presented with Medals for Gallantry and 11 other officers with Medal for Meritorious Service by the CM.
