EXCLUSIVE: Immigration and Customs Enforcement issued seven detainers for removal against illegal immigrants who allegedly committed two burglaries in Tempe and Mesa, Arizona, last week. "Under Secretary Noem's leadership, criminal illegal aliens are being held accountable for victimizing Americans," Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement. 7 Members Of South American Theft Group Arrested For Phoenix Burglaries "ICE is working alongside partner law enforcement agencies throughout the country to ensure that South American Theft Groups — like the one allegedly responsible for burglaries in California, Oregon, Washington and Arizona — are dismantled and deported once and for all. We will not allow criminal illegal aliens to terrorize American communities," McLaughlin added. The suspects are Nicolas Rojas Leon, 23, Joan Sebastian Orozco-Vargas, 26, Andres David Sanchez-Novoa, 38, Natalia Isabella Ortiz-Daza, 26, Martha Juliana Echiverri-Guzman, 28, Lady Johanna Gueito, 32, and Angie Paola Herandez-Manrique, 25. Gun-toting Noem Joins Ice Agents To Go After Criminal Illegal Aliens In Arizona Scottsdale Police were informed by Burbank Police in California about the SATG organization May 20 after it allegedly committed other burglaries in California, Oregon and Washington. Golden State authorities shared information, like vehicle descriptions, to help them find the suspects. A French Bulldog was stolen in one of the California break-ins, and it will be returned, according to police. It was warned about a SATG group from Colombia that had allegedly committed burglaries in California, Oregon and Washington and how it could be making its way to Arizona next. Each suspect was ordered held in the Maricopa County Jail pending "numerous criminal charges" on $150,000 cash-only bonds. Tren De Aragua Gang Member Arrested In Nyc Was 'Trying To Buy Grenades,' Noem Says South American Theft Groups have been prevalent throughout communities in California, Arizona, Colorado and nationwide, particularly in affluent areas. Although this group originated in Colombia, SATGs, like those from Chile, have triggered bipartisan calls for visa waiver program reform. A string of "dinner-time burglaries" in recent years in the Grand Canyon State has ties to SATGs, Arizona's Family reported in March 2024. When Fox News Digital reached out to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office, it noted comments County Attorney Rachel Mitchell made at a press conference earlier this week before ICE formally announced the detainers. "Obviously that's a federal issue," Mitchell said when asked about the possibility of suspects being deported. "But my understanding is that there is an ICE file stop on each of the individuals." Scottsdale police said they do not comment on ICE-related matters and deferred to the county attorney's office. There are no sanctuary jurisdictions listed by the DHS in Arizona. TikTok viewers instantly became obsessed with a Ring doorbell camera perfectly capturing a delivery driver's reaction after spotting dogs sitting at the front door. Dog owner Jen told Newsweek via TikTok that she was sitting on her couch when she heard the doorbell sound go off. Curious as to who was there, she pulled out her phone to check the Ring camera. "I brought it up on my phone and saw her and could hear Louise, she's the Frenchie in the video, I babysit her for a friend of mine," she said. "But she was so excited." The Ring camera footage, which was shared in an April 28 TikTok video under the account @hiimjennifer20, showed the driver bending down in disbelief. She started laughing at the sight of the dogs, admiring their precious faces. Meanwhile, you could hear the French Bulldog scratching at the door in a desperate attempt to say hello. ‘Incredibly frustrating': Group to speak at city council over stolen French bulldog
Amanda O'Hara is leading a group of people to Tuesday night's Charlotte City Council meeting with one goal in mind: get answers. 'The fact Julio is still missing nearly two months later is incredibly frustrating,' O'Hara told Channel 9's Eli Brand. She's demanding action to find Julio, a French bulldog. Channel 9 reported when Julio was stolen from his owner, Jayla Gittens, while she was moving from her north Charlotte apartment complex. Her car was also stolen. That happened in early April. Since then, a juvenile and his mother have been charged in connection with the theft. Gittens' car was eventually recovered, but Julio hasn't been seen since. PREVIOUS COVERAGE: Woman says man stole her French Bulldog while she was moving Cash reward offered for help finding missing French bulldog Charlotte mother accused in theft of French Bulldog 'We want answers and since city council isn't answering us, we're taking it to their footsteps,' O'Hara said. O'Hara says she and multiple others have been emailing councilmembers and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department looking for help. They've even taken their own steps. 'We have taken action ... we have been driving around; sometimes I spend two hours driving around different neighborhoods looking if I can see anything that would give me an indication of where Julio is,' O'Hara said. Last week, police arrested the teen's mother, accused of sending pictures to the dog's owner and demanding ransom in return. The group's goal Tuesday night will be to get answers before more crimes can be committed. 'It's a dog now, it could be your kid later. So we really want to make sure these crimes are not going unchecked,' O'Hara said. (VIDEO: Robber holds Charlotte woman at gunpoint in home, steals French bulldog)
