Bindi Irwin's Adorable Road Trip Video Gives a Clue to Daughter Grace's Latest Obsession

There's nothing like a summer road trip! Granted, it's almost winter in Australia, but the concept still applies for Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell. They took their 4-year-old daughter Grace Warrior on a family getaway around Australia's east coast, and their cool family recap hints at her toddler's adorable new obsession. At the beginning of the video on the Australia Zoo's YouTube Channel, Bindi greets the audience, then turns to her daughter and asks, 'And who are you today?' More from SheKnows Drew Scott's New Photo Montage of Daughter Piper Is a Whole Mood Grace responds, 'Elsa!' The little girl looks pretty in pink with a pink floral dress and pink hat as she smiles next to her mom, pretending to be the Disney princess from Frozen. And her mom just goes along with it like a pro. 'It's Bindi and Elsa here,' she continues. 'And we are very excited because we're taking you on our…' 'Road trip!' Grace finishes for her mom. So cute! They start in Byron Bay, where Grace regals her family with a story about snow on the beach. 'Do you know it's actually a snow called beach snow?' Grace says as she walks along a boardwalk. 'Very unique snow, Elsa!' Bindi praises. Then she asks for a jacket, and Grace-as-Elsa pretends to give her one, plus gloves and snow boots. 'The snowman is going with me,' Grace continues later, pretending to hold a little Olaf in her arms. 'I got my Olaf watch, ready to go to the snow!' she says, pointing to a little Olaf sticker on her hand. Her imagination is so big, and we love to see it! When they play in the snow, Grace and her dad draw 'Ariel' in the sand. 'From Elsa to Ariel in two seconds,' Bindi says. It makes sense — you're at the beach, you have to be Ariel from The Little Mermaid! In another part, Grace walks around an outdoor space. Powell knocks on a pretend door, and Grace answers saying, 'I'm Princess Jasmine!' Now, the princess from Aladdin dances around in her pretend palace. Another day, Grace changes into a colorful dress as she walks through a butterfly garden at Coffs Harbour. Grace laughs as a butterfly tickles her nose. 'They're being kind to me,' Grace says in her adorable Aussie accent. Just like a princess to have such a connection to nature. 'We have arrived to Grace's favorite part of the trip so far: laundry!' Powell says in another part of the video, showing a laundry mat. Grace wears the cutest strawberry-print dress as she spins around like the clothes in the washing machine. 'It's my favorite part of the day!' Grace says, as she continues spinning. 'My favorite part of the day is watching how happy you are,' Bindi responds. Same, Bindi! People were loving this wholesome family video. 'A delightful breath of fresh air watching Miss Grace Warrior in her many outfits from prancing in the sand to twirling in the laundromat,' one person commented. 'Love Grace's imagination 💕 She is so adorable and smart. It appears you all had a wonderful time. Enjoyed you letting us come along 😊💖💖' someone else wrote. It makes sense how imaginative Grace is because Bindi was the same way as a kid growing up with parents Terri Irwin and the late Steve Irwin. 'I really found that in my play, I wanted to connect with flora and fauna and every wildlife species that I could possibly imagine,' Bindi previously told SheKnows. 'So if we didn't have an animal at Australia Zoo, I would imagine I was playing with it and create my own little world, which was a lot of fun. You know, I'd be running around with red pandas in the Himalayas in my imagination or elephants on the African savanna. And I think that playtime really encouraged in me that connection with the natural world. It's something I loved the most and it carried on throughout my entire life even today.' 'Those moments of connection with play I still draw upon as an adult, and I think that's really, really special,' she of SheKnows 20 of Serena Williams' Most Adorable Motherhood Moments 30+ Baby Names With Ivy League Vibes — No Degree Required Michelle Obama's Best Mom Quotes — Because We Could All Use a Dose of Her Wisdom

Eager new owner for second-hand bike

Nora Gorton tries out a bike she got from the Southern Youth Development bike grab yesterday. PHOTO: GERARD O'BRIEN Now that Nora Gorton has her own bike, she has become quite the explorer. The 4-year-old was one of many who visited the Southern Youth Development (SYD) headquarters in Dunedin yesterday to buy a bike. Her mother Jennie was not surprised by her choice. It was decorated with characters from her favourite movie — Frozen. Within seconds of picking up the bike, she headed off to a SYD staff member who was adjusting seats, and politely asked him to remove the training wheels. She said she was a "pro" now and had no need for them. Previoiusly, Nora had had to share a bike with her siblings, Mrs Gorton said. "This bike is just for Nora." Rather than buy a brand-new bike, the family wanted a second-hand one, partly because it would stop it from going to landfill. "But also, kids grow so quickly that as soon as you buy something new, they've already grown out of it. "We prefer to reuse and pass it on to other people," Mrs Gorton said. "And also, SYD is a really good group of people to support." SYD bikes co-ordinator Emily Cambridge said the organisation had about 50 bikes to give away for a donation this year. "A large number have come from landfill, we've fixed them up and got them back in working order, and today we're redistributing them. "We also have quite a large number of bikes that have been donated this year, which is awesome." She said the bike grab was a great opportunity to teach young people new skills such as how to ride a bike and stay active, as well as teach them a little about circular economies and sustainability.

'Hidden gem' in UK is so stunning people say it 'looks like a Disney movie'

A stunning location in the UK has been described as an 'underrated gem' and 'looks like it should be in a Disney movie', with its beautiful gardens and architecture A hidden gem in the UK is gaining attention for its breathtaking beauty, with some likening it to a scene from a 'Disney film. ' Our country is teeming with quaint towns and villages that remain under the radar, as well as awe-inspiring natural landscapes. From secluded seaside spots to lush woodlands, there are countless destinations to escape the city chaos and discover somewhere new. One such haven is Arundel Castle, situated in the picturesque town of Arundel, West Sussex. ‌ The castle is nestled within serene gardens, complete with fountains and vibrant floral displays, and boasts stunning views of the River Arun. With a rich history dating back to the 11th century, the castle was built by Roger de Montgomery, Earl of Arundel. ‌ Although it suffered significant damage during the Civil War (1642-45), the castle was meticulously restored and revamped in the 18th and early 19th centuries by Charles Howard, the 11th Duke of Norfolk. Today, visitors can delve into the castle's fascinating past while exploring its grounds. According to Arundel Castle's Instagram account, it's one of England's largest inhabited and complete castles. A TikTok user recently showcased the castle's grandeur in a short video, hailing it as an "underrated gem in the UK." The clip left viewers spellbound, with many drawing comparisons to Disney. One user gushed: "That's stunning, it looks like it should be in a Disney movie. Another added: My first thought was Frozen cause it's called Arundel." One person couldn't help but draw parallels to a popular Disney movie, remarking: "My first thought was Frozen because it's called Arundel." ‌ The hit film Frozen features the adventures of Princess Anna and Queen Elsa in the fictional kingdom of Arendelle. A TikTok user expressed their amazement, saying: "Wow! I didn't know [the] UK had such places. Time to visit!". ‌ Another shared their personal connection with the location, commenting: "I am so lucky to live close by. I go every year, it's gorgeous there." The official Arundel Castle website boasts that visitors can enjoy a "wonderful variety of landscapes and environments," which includes the distinctive Stumpery, the meticulously designed Collector Earl's garden, the Glasshouses, and experience "explosions of colour" along with "delicate aromas". Originally a defensive stronghold, Arundel Castle underwent a transformation into an opulent residence for the Dukes of Norfolk during the 18th and 19th centuries. ‌ Guests are invited to meander through the lavish state rooms, view the "individually decorated bedrooms with Victorian and Edwardian bathrooms", explore the Fitzalan Chapel nestled within the castle grounds, and more. The enchanting "glorious gardens with surprises around each corner" have led to Arundel Castle Gardens being shortlisted for the Historic Houses Gardens of the Year Award 2025. Arundel Castle is set to host an array of events throughout the year, including medieval festivals, historical re-enactments, and a grand six-day medieval jousting tournament slated for late July. The castle will continue to welcome visitors until Sunday, 2 November. Tickets can be obtained online through the website or purchased on the day at the ticket office. The cost for entry to the castle, gardens, and events differs.

UK Government urged to increase frozen State Pensions for nearly half a million people

Around 453,000 pensioners are living in a country which does not have a reciprocal agreement with the UK Government. Pension Credit – Could you or someone you know be eligible? Cross-party MPs have united to intensify pressure on the UK Government over its refusal to reform the so-called 'frozen pensions' policy, which affects nearly half a million British pensioners living overseas - many of whom are now newly eligible to vote following the 2024 changes to overseas voting rights. Around 453,000 pensioners are living in a country which does not have a reciprocal agreement with the UK Government resulting in them not receiving the annual State Pension uprating. ‌ Speaking in a Westminster Hall debate on Tuesday, Gregory Stafford MP led a powerful call for change to State Pension rules, condemning the policy as one shutting out 'half a million voices who feel forgotten, neglected and increasingly betrayed'. ‌ The policy, which prevents State Pensions from being increased annually - to counteract the impact of inflation for UK pensioners living in certain countries - means some are receiving as little as £60 per week, far below the current £176.45 rate for the Basic State Pension for those resident in Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Most retirees of the so-called Frozen Pensions scandal are located in the Commonwealth. Only British overseas pensioners living in specific countries are impacted, in what Rebecca Smith MP described as "the ultimate postcode lottery'. Those in the USA see the same annual increase as British pensioners living in the UK or France, while those in Australia or Canada, see their State Pension remain 'frozen' and effectively fall in value. For example, 100-year-old Second World War veteran Anne Puckridge, who lived and worked in the UK until the age of 76 and served in all three of the RAF, Navy and the Army, has received just £72.50 per week since 2001, the year she moved to Canada to be nearer her daughter. ‌ Jim Shannon MP similarly questioned the logic of the policy applying in only some countries and not others, arguing 'the arbitrary distinction between countries with and without an operating agreement lacks logic and smacks of red tape and bureaucracy gone mad." Stafford and fellow MPs strongly rebutted the Government's long-held defences of the policy. The Minister for Pensions, Torsten Bell MP, was mostly notably challenged on the estimated cost of ending the policy, which is estimated at £55 million per year - 0.04 per cent of the annual State Pension budget - rather than the £950m per year quoted by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). ‌ The difference explained by the fact the DWP are quoting for uprating and backdating payments to account for the years affected pensioners have been frozen. However, campaigners are instead asking to receive the annual increase from this point onwards. Douglas McAllister MP stressed that campaigners and supportive MPs are 'not seeking a full backdating, but for the Government to introduce some form of yearly indexing to answer that injustice'. ‌ Longterm critic of the policy Sir Roger Gale MP argued the policy is 'not a matter of cost. It is a matter of moral responsibility and duty.' The Minister was also reminded by a number of MPs that 'the vast majority of impacted pensioners still report having no knowledge of the policy's existence prior to moving overseas'. ‌ Greg Stafford MP called on the Minister to meet with the End Frozen Pensions campaign to discuss how communication might be improved over the policy's existence, and to formally determine the true cost of ending the policy. The DWP Minister did not respond to MPs' calls to meet with campaigners on this issue. Labour MP Neil Duncan Jordan questioned the UK Government's wider approach to support its more vulnerable citizens, arguing that "taken alongside recent decisions to means-test the winter fuel allowance... it could appear that the Government are trying to balance the country's books on the back of some of the poorest members of our society." ‌ State Pension payments 2025/26 The DWP has published the full list of State Pension and benefit uprated payments on here, which also includes additional elements such as the deferred rates, which are rising by 1.7 per cent (September Consumer Price Index inflation rate). Full New State Pension Weekly payment: £230.25 Fortnightly payment: £460.50 Four-weekly payment: £921 Annual amount: £11,973 ‌ Full Basic State Pension Weekly payment: £176.45 Fortnightly payment: £352.90 Four-weekly payment: £705.80 Annual amount: £9,175 ‌ Future State Pension increases The Labour Government has pledged to honour the Triple Lock or the duration of its term and the latest predictions show the following projected annual increases: 2025/26 - 4.1% (the forecast was 4%) 2026/27 - 2.5% 2027/28 - 2.5% 2028/29 - 2.5% 2029/30 - 2.5% Recent analysis released by Royal London revealed only around half of people receiving the New State Pension last year were getting the full weekly amount - and around 150,000 were on less than £100 per week.
