vivo Y400 5G launched with SD 4 Gen 2 and 90W charging
After launching the vivo Y400 4G last week, vivo has now announced its 5G counterpart. The Y400 brings a similar look to the 4G model but with some additional upgrades like the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, a 32MP selfie cam, and faster 90W charging speeds. The rest of the specs are shared between the two Y400 models. You get a 6.67-inch AMOLED (FHD+ 120Hz) which maxes out at 1,800 nits peak brightness alongside an IP68/69 ingress protection and a massive 6,000 mAh battery. vivo Y400 5G It appears that the 5G model uses a lithium-ion (Li-Ion) cell instead of the Silicon-carbon (Si/C) one found on the 4G model. Elsewhere, Y400 boots Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15 and comes in two storage trims - 128GB and 256GB. It also brings a 50MP main cam and a 2MP depth sensor on the back. vivo Y400 5G is available in Glam White and Olive Green colors. The 8/128GB version is priced at INR 21,999 ($250) while the 8/256GB model will go for INR 23,999 ($273). Open sales in India start on August 7 via vivo's e-store and partnering retailers. Source

vivo V60 receives another certification on its way to release
vivo started teasing the upcoming V60 a few days ago, and today the phone has been spotted in the NBTC database in Thailand, having been certified for sale over there with the model number V2511. Previously, the V60 was also certified by TDRA in the UAE, SIRIM in Malaysia, IMDA in Singapore, TKDN in Indonesia, and TUV in Germany. So it's looking like it will get a pretty global release. Speaking of which, the phone is rumored to be unveiled on August 12 or August 19 in India. The V60 could be a rebranded S30, which launched in China in May. vivo has already confirmed that the V60 has a 6,500 mAh battery and a quad-curved OLED screen, as well as the fact that it will be available in three hues: Auspicious Gold, Moonlit Blue, and Mist Gray. A Geekbench run revealed that it's powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM. It will run Android 15 with vivo's Funtouch OS 15 on top when it lands. Foldable, fast, functional
Launching today, vivo's new foldable smartphone has arrived in Malaysia with the vivo X Fold5. theSun spent several days with it and the foldable has proven itself to be very impressive, with almost no drawbacks. At around 217g in weight, the vivo X Fold5 is quite light for a foldable in the current ecosystem, while its thickness is about 9.2mm while folded and 4.3mm once opened. The cover and inner foldable screens are essentially the same LTPO Amoled displays with HDR10+ at 1,172 × 2,748 and 2,200 × 2,480 pixels, respectively. In other words, the screens are bright and colourful. Better yet is the hinge itself. Unlike other foldables, the vivo X Fold5's hinge feels great and looks, well, it can not even be seen. The crease for the hinge once opened is practically non-existent unless looked at from certain angles and lighting. Multitasking muscle Built largely for multitasking, the vivo X Fold5 runs on the slightly older Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and 16GB RAM, but it is more than enough. Coupled with the Funtouch OS, everything that runs on the smartphone is quick and responsive. The main draw for the foldable will be its multitasking capability once its screens are opened. For those that always run two apps at the same time can do with the split-screen option accessed from the non-obstructive small multitasking menu at the top. But, the main reason that makes the vivo X Fold5 shine is the Origin Workbench. It enables users to run five concurrent apps or tasks on the same screen. The main takes the biggest chunk of the space, while the other four are grouped to the left. All apps run concurrently, remaining active and visible at all times, with users being able to swap freely between each with no lag. Like most of the industry, vivo's latest comes with AI capabilities. Accessed by swiping the sidebar, its AI Captions helps transcribe spoken audio, whether in real life through the microphone or system playback of whatever video or audio is being played in the smartphone. Anything that is recognised and transcribed can also be summarised by AI. Triple lens power The vivo X Fold5 has a whopping number of five cameras. Two are standard 20MP 'selfie cameras' and really not that great, but the real beauties are the smartphone's three cameras co-engineered with Zeiss. All three cameras are 50MP. The first is the main camera with a focal length of 23mm, the second is the ultra-wide angle camera at around 16mm and finally, the telephoto camera at 70mm focal length with 3× optical zoom up to 100× digital zoom. Photos taken during the day with all three cameras look good at their preset focal lengths, but the further it goes, the digital zoom starts kicking in harder to do the heavy lifting. Even night time photos look very good. In terms of videos, these cameras perform better. They support 4k video recording and come with image stabilisation, which is perfect for vlogging on the move. Having three screens further allows vivo X Fold5 to use a Rear HD Selfie mode to take videos (or pictures) with the smartphone opened up, as the cover screen becomes the preview screen. vivo Y400 arrives with Snapdragon 685 and 6,000mAh battery
The latest addition to the vivo Y-series is here with the vivo Y400. This is a 4G device armed with the Snapdragon 685 chipset, which also gets a massive 6,000mAh battery and an IP68/69 rating against water and dust. Y400 features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It covers the entire DCI-P3 color gamut and maxes out at 1,800 nits peak brightness . vivo Y400 The back houses a 50MP (IMX852) main cam and a 2MP depth sensor. The software side is covered by Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15 while the 6,000mAh battery supports 44W charging. vivo Y400 comes in Purple Twilight and Tropical Green colors. The device is currently listed on the official vivo Indonesia website, but there are no official pricing and availability details available yet. iQOO Z10R unveiled with the Dimensity 7400 SoC, 4K selfie camera, and quad-curved AMOLED display
As promised, iQOO today unveiled the iQOO Z10R, making it the sixth smartphone in the brand's Z10 series. The iQOO Z10R, "built for new-age content creators," is powered by the Dimensity 7400 SoC and has up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage onboard. The smartphone boots Android 15-based Funtouch OS 15 out of the box and comes with the promise of two years of OS upgrades and three years of security updates. The iQOO Z10R is built around a 6.77" quad-curved AMOLED display. It's a 120Hz FullHD+ screen with a 1,800-nit peak brightness and Schott Xensation Alpha glass protection. The display also supports HDR10+ and Netflix HDR. Moreover, the iQOO Z10R's display has a fingerprint scanner embedded for biometric authentication and a punch hole for the 32MP selfie camera, having 72° FOV and support for 4K video recording at 30fps. Around the back is a dual camera setup, which is a combination of a 50MP primary (Sony IMX882) and a 2MP depth camera. The rear cameras are accompanied by an Aura Light and support underwater photography and multi-focal portraits. iQOO Z10R's color options Fueling the iQOO Z10R is a 5,700 mAh battery with 44W charging support. iQOO claims the battery can go from 1% to 50% in 33 minutes.
