Guardant Health presented results of largest study on ctDNA in colon cancer
Guardant Health (GH) presented results of the largest study to date evaluating circulating tumor DNA, ctDNA, in colon cancer prior to chemotherapy, demonstrating the ability of the Guardant Reveal test to stratify the risk of disease recurrence and overall survival, and thus inform treatment decisions after surgery. Data from the phase III trial of FOLFOX-based adjuvant chemotherapy involving over 2,000 patients with stage III colon cancer with median follow-up of 6.1 years were presented at the 2025 American Society for Clinical Oncology Annual Meeting. Results demonstrated that circulating tumor DNA detected in the bloodstream after cancer surgery and prior to the start of adjuvant therapy, using the Guardant Reveal test, is a strong predictor of the risk of disease recurrence and poorer survival, and suggest the potential for ctDNA testing to improve decision-making at a critical time point for post-operative chemotherapy. Specifically: Among patients with post-surgical ctDNA detected, 62.6% had the cancer return within 3 years, despite having had adjuvant chemotherapy, while only 15.4% of patients with undetectable ctDNA recurred in the same period. The level of ctDNA, or tumor fraction, showed promise in identifying individuals who are less likely to clear residual disease with adjuvant treatment.

While Monday will be an encore episode in honor of Memorial Day, the drama will pick right back up on Tuesday as Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) reel over this newfound discovery. By mid-week, they'll reach out to the son they never knew was theirs, but who knows how Gio (Giovanni Mazza) will feel after his Nurses Ball breakdown. READ THIS: GH Casting Shocker: Rory Gibson joins as Michael Corinthos. But the Gio saga won't end there. The week will start with Lois (Rena Sofer) having some serious explaining to do about Baby Boy Cerullo. Later in the week, Dante will confront Lulu (Alexa Havins) over her role in the discovery, most likely leading to them breaking up before they could officially rekindle things. READ THIS: Secrets came out after a classic Nurses Ball performance on the May 21 GH. Gio's parentage isn't the only Nurses Ball bombshell. Michael (Rory Gibson, who makes his GH debut) is back, and after his family welcomes him home mid-week, it will be time for him and Jason (Steve Burton) to debrief before the upcoming custody hearing. That was a major moment when Trina did that with Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez), and odds are, it'll also be a major moment with Kai.

General Hospital Fans Ask Where This Missing Scene Went
The latest episode of General Hospital left fans scratching their heads due to an apparent missing scene. Tensions were high during the May 28, 2025 episode of GH as Michael (Rory Gibson) ensured his kids were brought to Carly's (Laura Wright), leaving Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) to take things to the cops. When they told Mac (John J. York) that Amelia had been kidnapped, he took things seriously until they revealed Amelia and Wiley (Viron Weaver) were safely with their father. Regardless, Mac had no choice but to stop by Carly's. When Jason (Steve Burton) let the Chief of Detectives in, he announced, 'I'm here to investigate a kidnapping.' READ THIS: Here's what's coming up on GH. However, things took a turn in the next scene, not for Michael and his family, but for viewers. When the show returned to what was happening at Carly's house, they were all celebrating Michael's return home and Mac was nowhere to be seen. Fans were quick to hop on X (formerly Twitter) and share their confusion over the contradicting scenes. 'Ok, did I miss something, one min Mac is at Carly's about a kidnapping, next min Mac gone. Did they cut the convo?' one viewer asked, while another joked, 'Mac walked in Carly's and…….. what happened?? He disappeared into thin air?' Many even rewound the show to double check they hadn't accidentally missed a scene. 'I had to rewind the scene to make sure I didn't miss something. I said where tf did Mac go?!' one viewer admitted, while other filled in the blanks. 'They probably edited it out and I can imagine Jason just giving Mac the legal paper and Mac just going back to the police station to deal with the dumdums.'
