Kapuso stars Alden Richards, David Licauco, and Bianca Umali were all praises for Barbie Forteza's performance in the horror film "P77." According to Aubrey Carampel's report in "24 Oras" Tuesday, Alden, David, and Bianca were among the celebrities who attended the movie's premiere night on Monday. Alden was aware of the challenges Barbie faced in her role, per the report, since "P77" was filmed at the same time they were working on "Pulang Araw" together. "Ang laki ng demand sa lead character, but she was able to deliver it flawlessly. This film says a lot about her acting skills and range, so congratulations nakaka-proud ka, Barbs," said Alden. David, for his part, expressed his pride for Barbie. "I've never seen that side of her. I'm really, really proud of her," he said. Previously, David had praised Barbie's performance on X (formerly Twitter) and called himself "a fan." Bianca also shared that Barbie "delivered" in her role, adding, "Nakakatuwa kasi bagong flavor siya sa pelikula kaya dapat siyang mapanood ng mga tao." Barbie Forteza's latest movie, "P77," held its premiere night on Monday. According to Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras," Monday, cast members present at the star-studded event were Gina Pareño, Jackie Lou Blanco, Carlos Siguion-Reyna, JC Alcantara, Euwenn Mikaell, and of course, Barbie herself. "I'm just so overwhelmed right now kasi ang ganda ng setup ng aming premiere night. Pinagkaabalahan talaga and ang daming tao. I'm so, so happy. Ang dami kong friends, ang daming guests na kahit bumabagyo, nandito tonight para mapanood ang 'P77,'" Barbie said. Barbie Forteza garners praise for professionalism, punctuality: 'Artista na nauuna sa staff'
Barbie Forteza received praises for her exceptional professionalism and punctuality during the production of her latest film, 'P77,' which made a significant impression on both the director and network executives. At Tuesday's media conference for the horror movie, director Derick Cabrido expressed his admiration, noting that the Kapuso Primetime Princess consistently arrives on set even before the crew. 'Ito 'yung artista na nauuna kaysa sa staff. Maraming time na nakaka-receive ako ng tawag, tumatawag sa 'kin, nagda-drive pa lang ako. Imagine mo, call time namin, mga 6:30, 7:00. Tumatawag na sa akin 'yung PM namin o kaya 'yung mga staff. Sabi 'Nandito na si Barbie,'' he said. He would ask why she was there so early, and the crew would inform him that Barbie went directly to the 'P77' shoot from another project, which was 'Pulang Araw.' 'Direk, hindi pa naka-set up ang tent,' the crew would tell him. Direk Derick shared, 'May time na parang parang nando'n na siya nang 5:30, pero 7:00 dapat siya dumating, 7:30. For me, alam ko na talagang sobrang ano siya doon sa work niya.' GMA Public Affairs Senior Vice President Nessa Valdellon further echoed these sentiments, explaining why Barbie is such a favorite to work with. 'She's such a pro,' she said. She shared that at 2:15 p.m., she came in to check the setup for the press conference, and she was surprised to see that Barbie was already at the venue when the event was scheduled to start at 3 p.m. 'Nauna pa siya sa akin. So, ganoon siya lagi. She is always early. She is just so prepared. She is so professional. So, why wouldn't we want to work with her?' she said. The network executive added that Barbie is always willing to do anything. 'As in, no weirdness, no freak-outs. She doesn't disappear in the middle of a shooting day. So, we love Barbie. And she acts so well, ever since bata pa na siya.' Also present at the press event was GMA Network Senior Vice President Annette Gozon-Valdes, who commented on the significance of 'P77.' 'Matagal nang hindi gumagawa ang GMA Pictures ng horror na movie, na nasa horror genre, at ito 'yung comeback namin sa horror kaya pinaghandaan talaga 'to at gusto naming magbigay ng kakaibang type of horror na tamang-tama naman sa mga panahon ngayon,' she said. JC Alcantara hails Barbie Forteza after ‘P77' collab, hopes to work again with actress
JC Alcantara openly expressed his profound admiration and gratitude for his co-star Barbie Forteza, describing their experience working together on the upcoming film 'P77' as nothing short of a dream job. At the media conference for the horror movie on Tuesday, JC revealed that his admiration for the Kapuso Primetime Princess dates back over a decade. 'Isang karangalan din makatrabaho si Barbie. I'm a fan since 2011,' he said. 'Bata pa lang ako, pinapanood ko na siya. And sobrang grateful ko din. Thankful kasi alam niyo po, sa dinami-daming artista, ako 'yung nabigyan ng chance. Salamat po sa inyo.' The Kapamilya actor admitted to having initial nerves when starting on the project. 'Kinakabahan. Tapos Barbie Forteza pa, ang pangarap kong maka-trabaho,' he said. JC recognized the need to overcome this apprehension to effectively portray his character, Theo, whom he described as a 'mysterious guy from P77.' 'Kailangan hindi ka magpatalo ng kaba kasi horror 'to. So kailangan, matakot ko pa rin siya. Kailangan maparamdam ko pa rin sa kaniya na nandito ako sa character na ito,' he said. His initial jitters quickly gave way to a deeply positive working relationship, with JC finding Barbie to be an absolute joy to work with, even emphasizing her kindness and dedication. 'Sobrang saya katrabaho, sobrang bait, sobrang—makikita mo siya, dedikado siya sa trabaho niya. Nagbabasa siya ng script, nando'n lang siya sa gilid. Ang saya palang katrabaho niya.
