Travis Scott subtly addresses Pusha T diss on Jackboys 2 amid Clipse album release weekend

Jackboys 2, the long-awaited Cactus Jack compilation led by Travis Scott, is now out, featuring Don Toliver, Sheck Wes, and SoFaygo. The release comes amid rising tension between Scott and rapper Pusha T, who recently criticized Travis on the new Clipse track 'So Be It.' Pusha, in a GQ interview, criticized Travis for flaunting his alliance with Pharrell during the Utopia rollout, only to feature Drake on the same album—where Drake delivered a verse dissing Pharrell and Clipse. Pusha didn't hold back, calling Travis 'a whore' with no loyalty or moral standard. While Scott had previously remained silent, the new project seems to offer a subtle response. The opening track, 'Champain & Vacay,' features Don Toliver and ad-libs from Waka Flocka Flame. Toward the end of his verse, Scott raps: 'Man these old n-ggas kill me/Know my YNs feel me… Blue Bugatti, dodgin TMZ/Made a hundred off of pushin tees/Now my phone on DND.' The wordplay alludes to Pusha's name while portraying him as an aging critic. The 'dodgin TMZ' lyric appears to reference a line from 'So Be It,' where Pusha warns Travis he's lucky he didn't 'TMZ it'—hinting at a potentially damaging video. The album opens with narration from Bun B and spans 17 tracks. No other lyrics directly mention Pusha, Clipse, or Pharrell, indicating Travis may be shrugging off the feud. Observers also noted that Scott announced the album just two days before release—timed to coincide with Clipse's long-planned Let God Sort Em Out, possibly setting up a streaming showdown. Ahead of the release, Pusha and his brother Malice addressed the timing in a Breakfast Club interview, encouraging fans to compare both records. Jackboys 2 also features appearances from Future, Playboi Carti, 21 Savage, GloRilla, Kodak Black, Tyla, and Vybz Kartel.

It felt good to have someone be as passionate and as serious as you are…To have someone on your side fully hear you and don't think that your visions are crazy,' she said of how Pierre was supportive of her creative process. Speaking of their relationship dynamic, Taylor stated that Pierre handles her very delicately, something that she appreciates. 'I'm very big on how you handle me, and I feel like you gotta handle me like a cup of tea.' 'With a cup of tea you walk slower, you're more calm, you're more delicate,' Taylor continued. 'I feel like I am a cup of tea and I feel like he handles me as such. You know, he's very, very gentle. It allows me to feel warm and to feel safe, and not be in survival mode.' In a June 2025 interview with GQ , Taylor shared similar sentiments about the actor, revealing how protective he is of her and their relationship. 'He's a real big music head and just how hands-on he's been on this album with me has been really amazing to see,' she told the outlet. 'You ever sit back and be like, 'This person don't play about me'? I was like, 'Yeah, you need to be my leading man, because you understand every single song, every single emotion, every single feeling, which is that, on set, you're going to bring it.'' Escape Room , led by the singles 'Long Time' and 'Bed of Roses,' is slated for an August release. Tom Holland Says Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey is ‘Unlike Anything We've Ever Seen'

Tom Holland has never been shy about his love for filmmaking, but when it comes to Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, he calls the experience 'the best experience I've had on the film set.' In a new interview, the actor described the project as a dream come true, especially because he had the chance to collaborate with a director he calls a 'true master.' Holland plays Telemachus, the son of Odysseus, portrayed by Matt Damon, in what is shaping up to be Nolan's most ambitious release since Oppenheimer. Working with Nolan: A front row seat to greatness Filming on The Odyssey gave Holland an inside look at what he described as one of the most demanding and rewarding creative environments he's ever experienced. 'Working with Chris, getting to know him and Emma [Thomas] was absolutely fantastic,' Holland said in the interview with GQ. 'There is a reason they're the best in the business.' He called working on the film as 'exciting' and 'different,' adding that audiences should expect something entirely new from Nolan's take on Homer's classic, 'The job of a lifetime, without a doubt…I think the movie is going to be unlike anything we've ever seen.' The movie is the first major studio release to be shot entirely on Imax cameras. Damon and Hathaway: 'Always been a hero of mine' Sharing the screen with longtime idols was another major highlight for the Spider-Man actor. ' Matt Damon has always been a hero of mine. Anne Hathaway has always been a hero of mine,' Holland told the publication. 'To share scenes with them, to learn from them, to become friends with them, I couldn't have asked for a better job.' He described arriving at the set with a strong sense of purpose, saying he felt proud of the work and grateful for the trust Nolan placed in him. The film's first trailer, now screening in theaters, features a scene of Holland's Telemachus breaking down as he searches for answers about his missing father. The Odyssey is set to release on July 17, 2026.

James Gunn reveals the 'talking raccoon' changed his life; recalls the deep meaning behind 'I am Groot'

James Gunn , the 'Superman' director, opened up about how the talking raccoon from 'Guardians of the Galaxy' changed his entire trajectory of being involved in a superhero film. An unprecedented call, a flop film, lost hope, and a fictional character turned Gunn's life only for the better. Talking raccoon turned James Gunn's life... In an interview with GQ, Gunn revealed that he had been a fan of Marvel and DC comic books as well as films for a long time. However, he had delivered a failed box office film at the time and was going to quit filmmaking when he received a call from Marvel Studios. While he had his initial doubts about the idea, which sounded like 'Bugs Bunny in the middle of Avengers.' After thinking about the talking raccoon, James recalled the moment when he thought: What if it was real? 'It came to me that if [Rocket Raccoon] was real, that Raccoon would be the saddest creature in the entire universe, that to me…was the beginning of Guardians,' he said. 'That's why I knew that, from doing the first one to the last one, where it ended up, is where it needed to end up with this character basically having a spiritual awakening in which he goes outside of himself and sees himself in both a more important and less important way,' James said, before adding, 'That was the journey of those three movies for me. It was about Rocket, whose character who I've felt closer to more than any other character I've ever put on film, without a doubt. ' The story behind "I am Groot" Furthermore, James Gunn talked about the iconic line 'I am Groot,' and the character that could project his feelings with just three words. He mentioned that in the comics, Groot says the three words because of a strange thing, but in his version, it was special, as only the raccoon could understand it initially. As the story went on, the people close to him could understand the feelings, and by the end of it, it was portrayed where the audience as well understood, where Vin Diesel spoke more than the three words.

Our Favorite Do-It-All Breville Countertop Oven Is $80 Off for Prime Day

is the commerce writer at Eater, and an award-winning writer with bylines in GQ, VICE, The Daily Beast, and other publications. A curious home cook with a deep love of Polish cabbage rolls, her devotion to food service journalism knows no bounds. Well, folks, the tornado of Amazon Prime Day deals is winding down, but — wait, what's that glimmering in the eye of the deals storm? Why, it's the Breville Smart Oven, aka Eater's favorite air-fryer-toaster–convection-oven combo appliance, for 20% percent off. I'd know the gentle shine of its brushed stainless steel design anywhere… The Breville Smart Oven is just one of those appliances that stays top-of-mind amongst the Eater shopping team; many of us are apartment-dwellers looking for multi-functional appliances that are worthy of our limited counter space. And when Eater contributor Charley Lanyon put five high-tech toaster ovens to the test, the Breville was a clear winner in terms of its ability to replace multiple other gadgets (and even your full-size oven). This beast is an air fryer, convection oven, toaster oven, and a dehydrator — basically a full-blown sous chef, to paraphrase Lanyon, who goes on to explain how the appliance's Element IQ system adjusts the power of its heating elements to cook food faster and more evenly. At nearly two feet in length, the Breville is big enough to take on an entire roast chicken, and considering that it could function as a 'real' oven for someone in a very small apartment, it's worthy of its girth. Is this the only toaster oven that could rock your world that's on sale for Prime Day? Hardly. Consider the stylish Japanese cult-fave toaster the Balmuda, which has a steam feature that's a godsend for reviving day-old pastries and stale bread. (It's 20% off right now, too.) If you love doughy toast that's crispy on the outside but so very soft on the inside, don't miss that deal, either. But it's Breville's model that took home the crown for its combination of functionality, aesthetics, and genuinely cool bells and whistles. And if you're tired of settling for 'meh' appliances that collect dust, the Breville may just be the best big little oven to blow your socks off (and perfectly crisp your chicken). The Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro is on sale at Amazon. Check out more of Eater's Amazon Prime Day coverage here.
