Brad Pitt Claims Finalizing Years-Long Angelina Jolie Divorce Was Not That 'Major Of A Thing'
Brad Pitt has opened up about reaching the end of his protracted divorce from Angelina Jolie. The actor admitted he felt "relief" over the decision, but still doesn't consider it a "major" thing. Before finalizing the divorce in December, Pitt and Jolie had been in a nearly decade-long battle after they announced their separation in 2016. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's disputes included the separation of assets and custody issues, with the duo still currently feuding over their French vineyard, Château Miraval. After nearly a decade of court battles, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie finalized their divorce in December. The former Hollywood power couple had been locked in disputes over assets and custody, which took quite a toll on both sides and led to several media back-and-forths. Now, Pitt has revealed that he feels "relieved" that part of his life is over and he can officially move on. The actor made the revelation in his interview with GQ Magazine, which covered the creation of his new "F1" movie. However, despite how long the battle dragged on and the legal costs he likely incurred, Pitt said the finalization wasn't a huge deal to him, just something that was bound to happen eventually. "No, I don't think it was that major of a thing," the actor told the outlet. "Just something coming to fruition. Legally." Elsewhere in his conversation with the publication, Pitt reflected on how his "personal life is always in the news" and admitted that it has been a constant "annoyance" to deal with over the years. "It's been in the news for 30 years, bro. Or some version of my personal life, let's put it that way," the "Bullet Train" star said. "It's been an annoyance I've had to always deal with in different degrees, large and small, as I do the things I really want to do." "So, it's always been this kind of nagging time suck or waste of time, if you let it be that, I don't know. I don't know," Pitt added. Despite all of this attention, the actor thinks his life is "fairly contained," as he is surrounded by the best possible people. "It feels pretty warm and secure with my friends, with my loves, with my fam, with my knowledge of who I am, that, you know, it's like this fly buzzing around a little bit." In the meantime, Brad Pitt has found new love with jewelry executive Ines de Ramon, who was previously married to actor Paul Wesley. The pair began dating in 2022, three years after Pitt's legal separation from Angelina Jolie. After keeping their relationship private for several months, the couple began making public appearances together, including at premieres and other high-profile events. They also showed up together at the 2024 British Grand Prix, which Pitt explained in his GQ interview wasn't planned. "It's not that calculated," Pitt shared. "If you're living, oh my God, how exhausting would that be? If you're living with making those kinds of calculations? No, life just evolves. Relationships evolve." Early last year, the lovebirds finally moved in together, a move that further solidified their relationship. As they now approach their third anniversary, they are reportedly still going strong despite the rumors that Pitt's busy work schedule strained their relationship. "They're genuinely happy and very much in love," a source revealed, per the Daily Mail. They added, "Brad appreciates being with someone outside of Hollywood—it keeps things balanced, with no sense of rivalry or jealousy." Despite Pitt and de Ramon's blossoming romance, the possibility of marriage or kids seems unlikely for now, as the actor is yet to get over the emotional baggage from his previous marriage. "Brad is totally in love with Ines, but he doesn't want to go down the road of marriage and kids," an insider told the Daily Mail. They continued, "He's been burned badly by the divorce from Angelina and his kids wanting little if nothing to do with him. He's 61 and loving his life just the way it is."

'America's grandpa': Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson dead at 79 following Alzheimer's Battle
Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson has died at the age of 79. Robertson's daughter-in-law Korie Robertson confirmed the reality star's death on Sunday via Facebook. 'We celebrate today that our father, husband, and grandfather, Phil Robertson, is now with the Lord,' Korie wrote. 'He reminded us often of the words of Paul, 'you do not grieve like those who have no hope.' "'For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.'" It is understood that Robertson was suffering Alzheimer's disease at the time of his death but no cause of death has been revealed. Born in Louisiana in 1946, Robertson invented a groundbreaking 'duck call', a product which helps lure in ducks for hunting. The product spawned the successful family business, Duck Commander company, and later a reality series centred on the Robertson family. Fans of the cult-favourite reality series, which aired on A&E from 2012 until 2017, flooded the comment section to pay tribute to 'America's grandpa'. 'Phil was like America's grandpa who passed along his God-given wisdom for life to pass on to the next generation,' one fan wrote. 'He put smiles on the faces of us all,' another fan added. 'I grew up watching Duck Dynasty as a child, and it was amazing seeing such a God-fearing man leading by example on how to live life while fearing God and hunting ducks.' The Robertson family patriarch shot to international fame after Duck Dynasty hit the airwaves in 2012. However, the fan favourite was briefly suspended from the program in 2013 after making controversial comments about homosexuality. In an interview for GQ Magazine, Robertson was asked "what, in your mind, is sinful?" Robertson replied: "Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. 'Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men." The reality star later attributed his attitudes to his biblical beliefs and insisted he 'would never treat anyone with disrespect' and was reinstated to the show by A&E. As a result of his Alzheimer's disease, Robertson will not be featured in the upcoming Duck Dynasty revival series, which was produced before the star's death. Phil is survived by his wife Kay Robertson, their four sons: Alan, Jase, Willie, and Jep, as well as 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Brighton's Fabian Hurzeler explains use of sleep expert to deal with Premier League pressure
Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Fabian Hurzeler says he has started working with a sleep expert to help relax his mind from the pressures of working in the Premier League. Hurzeler explained he is 'always' thinking about football and tactics and subsequently sought advice over better sleeping habits. Advertisement The sessions have led to the 32-year-old German making early morning journeys to the club's training centre in Lancing by electric bike rather than by car to help him switch off. 'I have been trying to improve my sleep but it doesn't happen overnight,' Hurzeler said, speaking to GQ Magazine. 'I started working with a sleep expert and she told me that good sleep is more about the habits you have during the day. How often do you get time for yourself, where your mind can really relax? 'Because of that I bought an electric bike for the half hour commute to work. It helps me relax more than going by car.' Hurzeler added he cycles to work 'when the sun is coming up, about 6.30, and I really enjoy it.' Brighton's form has slumped since the last international break of the season in March. Losing on penalties at home to Nottingham Forest in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup has been followed by a five-match run without a win in the Premier League, which has jeopardised their hopes of qualifying for Europe. Hurzeler's tenth-placed side face West Ham United, who are 17th but safe from relegation under former Brighton head coach Graham Potter, at the Amex Stadium on Saturday. ()

John Boyega Calls Out ‘Star Wars' For Its Overwhelming Whiteness
John Boyega as Finn from The Force Awakens In a new Apple TV documentary, actor John Boyega had some harsh words for the Star Wars universe. The call-out is as much directed at the creators of the franchise and its fans. In the docuseries Number One on the Call Sheet: Black Leading Men in Hollywood, Boyega said: Boyega added: This may be true for some fans, but I think Boyega was more on-point in 2020 when he told GQ Magazine, 'What I would say to Disney is do not bring out a Black character, market them to be much more important in the franchise than they are and then have them pushed to the side. It's not good. I'll say it straight up.' The fundamental problem most Star Wars fans had with Boyega's character, disillusioned Stormtrooper, Finn, in the Disney sequel trilogy, was that he really didn't have much to do. Marketing made it look like he'd be a really important character and then he just wasn't. One of my biggest problems with the sequels is how flimsy the core 'friend group' was compared to the original trilogy. Finn, Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) were never given the opportunity to really gel the same way that Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) were. They were separated from one another for the vast majority of the three films rather than given the kinds of great adventures and bonding moments that the original trilogy gave its core trio, and that led to much less compelling camaraderie and characters. Finn should have been given more to do and a more important role in the story that kept him nearer to the central conflict. He should have had Force powers at the very least, which is what the teasers certainly indicated. Instead, he was tossed aside in the second film, given a new buddy to hang out with rather than Rey or Poe, and basically made irrelevant to the plot. The same can be said for Poe Dameron, whose character never really developed in any direction throughout the trilogy. We never got the tension between these characters that was so palpable between Han and Leia, or Han and Luke, etc. though I suppose we never got the awkward 'Hey, I'm actually your sister, how about that kiss we shared?' moment either. The good news is that some new Star Wars content has been able to create more diversity in a way that feels organic and not like pandering at all. Namely, Andor, which is the most diverse Star Wars offering to-date, even more so than The Acolyte, which was roundly criticized for prioritizing messaging over storytelling. Andor is brilliant and effortlessly diverse, with people of color, queer characters and some of the best female heroes and villains in Star Wars we've seen. It's a great example of how you can incorporate diversity while still focusing on telling a great story. Whether or not Star Wars is too white, John Boyega and Finn certainly deserved better. Everyone deserved better than what we got with the Star Wars sequel trilogy. The Force Awakens had real potential to kick off a brilliant new era in Star Wars, but it was squandered thanks to poor management and the total lack of a coherent overarching story between that film, The Last Jedi and The Rise Of Skywalker. Just another cinematic tragedy in a galaxy far, far away.
